Ordered the Single Sourdough star, received a cold bread tasteless burger sandwich. No service until after minutes of waiting until they remembered they were supposed to take food orders. No customer service or work ethics. If I was not so far or dined in, I would have asked for a refund. read more

Carl's Jr - This is their version of the single sourdough star. - Fast Food Near Me - Modesto, California

When I was there 2 days ago and the employees were so helpful and very kind and I loved the food it was amazing and the service was amazing.

I ordered a western bacon cheese burger a medium Dr. pepper and fries. The bun was stale, the cheese looked like it was microwaved to warm it up ie the cheese on the paper wasn't melted it was burnt to the paper wished I'd taken pictures, on top of that it was 8:30 at night no one in line no one parked outside and it took almost 10 minutes to get my 2 hot items and a drink......horrible service horrible food I threw the burger away and the dogs ate the stale French fries. I'll JUST GO NEXT DOOR TO SNOW WHITE IT JUST OPENED UP A COUPLE WEEKS AGO THEY HAVE GREAT SERVICE AND FRESH INGREDIENTS. read more

If I can get this Restaurant 0 zero stars, I would Today July 5th, 2025, I tried to go to Carl's Jr.'s to use my card for the Restaurant Meals program known as the RMP I've used my card and other restaurants. I never had issues at other Carl's Jr.'s but the one on McHenry here in Modesto gave me trouble. The manager said have you ever used at Carl's Jr , she said their system wasn't working. They were having trouble first of all. They're supposed to be using a white machine for this program not a black machine, not the regular card machine that she was actually trying to pass my card on and she said well the RMP program is for cash I said no it's not. I never had any trouble any place else. I said this restaurant and two other restaurants have given me trouble I said you're using the wrong machine and I was checking to make sure she was not double charging me after 15 minutes of her trying to swipe my card 20 times she said it was not going through. She actually told me that If I have enough funds on my card which I had I told her you know what "cancel the order" and I walked out. I went down the street to downtown to another restaurant I was able to do three purchases singly they went through! It's just that this Carl's Jr.'s the manager did not have the right machine. They did not know how to use the RMP system so I will never be going back there ever again for what I was going to spend over $30 , they can go to hell! me and my spouse are both disabled and over 60 years old to be treated like that I don't think so! People who are vets, disabled and on this program BEWARE! read more

I went to Carl's Jr. On McHenry Ave. In the drive through I ordered 3 burgers & I had to repeat my order several times as the lady repeated back to me a different order . Then, I get my burgers home , and all 3 hamburgers are wrong ! The 2 cheeseburgers had No cheese , and the western bacon cheese burger was ordered with No Bbq sauce & it had sauce all over it! To make it even worse : I went back to get the right burgers , and the guy at the counter could have cared less about the mistake . He never said sorry for the mistake & he was rude ! He acted as if it was all my problem . I will not eat at this Carl's Jr. again. I will go to Red Robin Restaurant get a better hamburger with bottomless yummy French fries , along with good service . read more

No exaggeration, I've only been here a few times since living in Modesto and each time has been a terrible experience. Don't bother ordering from any app (official Carl's Jr app/doordash/etc.) because chances are they will straight up tell you they never received an order and you end up losing money in the process along with your sanity. Heed my warning, unless you just get the bare minimum, don't bother with this one.. read more

Placed a mobile order, asked for no Mayo and no special sauce on this burger. They refused to remake my order said that they couldn't make it without the special sauce and Mayo because they are too lazy to make fresh burgers. When you go inside they had 20 of the exact burger premade and getting old. I couldn't eat it if I wanted to the bacon looked undercooked and the bread cracked like it was sitting out in the open for a week. The burger also looked nothing like the picture, which normally burgers don't but this was extremely different from the advertisement. Straight to the trash, waste of time and gas. Never go to this location if you expect quality or good service. Edit: saw another review where they said they acted like you didn't have a mobile order even if you did place one and they did the same thing to me. Shady business practices, I bet they are trying to scam their customers hoping they drive away after acting like they didn't receive your order. read more

The service at this location is beyond horrible. Staff is rude and has big attitude issues. Don't even try to use the app at this location even when they offer it through the drive through because they will make you put in a mobile order to get the coupon price at the window. The app states scan at restaurant but the staff are so rude they say their scanner won't reach your phone. After paying full price and waiting forever The food quality is bad it is cold and you can tell it was made hours ago. read more

I told her that would be the LAST time I would eat there. HIGHWAY ROBBERY. It's a fast food BURGER. Period. Not Gordon Ramsey. Went to carl's Jr. 2800 McHenry today Thursday, February 25 3:30 PM in the afternoon. Went with my wife we went inside to order and while we were standing there waiting a roach ran across the counter you order from ran down the wall out onto the main floor were we are waiting to order. Another customer that was in there took his foot stomped on it and yelled to the lady working behind the counter you have roaches here. Her reply was oh well. So we left. When you have visible roaches in the daylight at 3:30 in the afternoon that means you have a bad infestation because roaches are nocturnal and only like darkness. We will not be going back I don't like roaches in my hamburgers read more

Carl's Jr - Deliciously good! - Fast Food Near Me - Modesto, California

Ok, let me preface this by saying I have been a loyal long term customer of Carl's for over 30 years, and been to many different restaurants. This is why it pains me physically to state, I will not be patronizing Carl's anymore after my visit tonight. I was shocked to pay 27.00 for my burgers tonight, one being the large #10, which is the low carb lettuce wrap combo and the other being a small #6 combo. I paid 13.00 for the #10 by itself. I believe that while Carl's has significantly raised their prices they have priced themselves out of the competition. I could go to Jack's, Taco Bell or Red Robin and pay less and get more. I am saddened but not a fool. read more

Carl's Jr - Upgrade a combo #10 and this is what I got - Fast Food Near Me - Modesto, California

If I could give no stars I would, ordering the lady on the speaker in the drive thru was talking over me when I ordered. Ordered biscuits and gravy like I have multiple times before and the gravy usually comes in it's own separate container. Well this time it was tossed on top of the biscuits (no container). And the boxes were thrown in the bag. It was everywhere and was a waste of money besides the fact they are expensive I called and they did nothing for me to make it right. All I got on the phone was attitude. Worst service ever DO NOT GO HERE read more

Food was okay service leaves a lot to be desired would it kill to act like you're happy to have a job and not be rude to customers

Has anyone gone here lately if so why and how do you afford it?? I ordered one combo meal and a sandwich and it was $22. Then when I asked to see the receipt the girl at window proceeds to ask me why. I politely say well I can't figure out why a combo and a single sandwich would be that much. There she repeats the order and the sandwich was wrong. I tell her and she says well I repeated it and you said yea. The sandwich she repeated was right but she put it in the computer wrong and then forgot when I got to the window. Shhheeesh!!! ‍ read more

I really like the food here. Even though the wait is on the longer side, it's short comparative to other Carl's Jr.s.

This place is poorly managed. I wonder if employees cooking can actually read English! I say this because they do not read the actual order something is always missing!!! read more

Slow service. Disorganized. I have a feeling that covid had no impact on the sad level of service this location offers and everyone that was there when I was seemed to feel the same way. The owner of this location is not getting what they pay for and it may be costing them repeat business. read more

They gave me the wrong sandwich and kept arguing with me, insisting that was what I ordered. I had to convince the manager that I had ordered a different sandwich. They forgot my water, and I had to go back to get a ranch dressing for my fried zucchini, although I also specifically requested one. Then the manager argued that there was already one in the bag! I took everything out to show her there was not. Mistakes are one thing, but arguing with a customer about what she ordered is unprofessional. read more

Carl's Jr - Great food - Fast Food Near Me - Modesto, California

Ok this is a fast food place but it's still a business and I expect for them to run it as such. I hardly ever go here but me n my mom were intrigued by they're "keto friendly" angus burger wrap!! Worst decision EVER!! That's just the first of it, if you're running a business please do NOT allow a 16 year old to run your drive threw, he not only got my order wrong but when I split my method of payment with 10 dollars cash and the other debit, total was 20 dollars and some change!! He took my money and charged my card the entire total!!! I had to go back TWICE once bcuz he didn't give me my fries n soda that I ordered, pissed because my food was getting cold!! I go home and omg those salad wraps were soggy, messy disgusting meal I ever had!! Then to discover he took my cash and then charged my account the full amount!! I go back to the store the owner is gone, the kid says I would love to help you but I can't, wrong answer, you took money from me so you WILL HELP ME, call ur manager and get this fixed!!! They call him and he says it's going to take him 40 Minutes to get back and if I want to wait or leave my number.. I'm livid this isn't how you run a business. He never calls, I call my bank dispute the charges n they credit my account the next morning. I will never return to this establishment and I hope you will get ur money's worth elsewhere!!! My mom and I were so appalled at the meal we threw away, I wish I would have took pics and to Carl's Jr. I hope you efficiently train ur employees and especially don't have a 16 year old operating your drive threw or handling your money because he had zero clue how to effectively do his job!! read more

I love Carl's Jr. Especially the employees like Lilly, she's one of the sweetest most patient employee I've ever seen. Food is good most of the time...sometimes I get a burger that has been sitting there for awhile. My low rating comes from how long it takes for EVERYTHING! Not a negative experience whenever I go. Food is fresh and hot, orders correct. The service is always pleasant and friendly and quick!

What a difference for years makes! This Carl's Jr. has seen some significant improvements since my last visit. My order was filled accurately, and my food was so hot and fresh that, when I reached into my bag to make sure my order was correct, I burned my finger, lol (not badly, so no lawsuits needed!). However, the only complaint I have is that my Beyond Meat Burger has a huge chunk of lettuce that filled up the burger. It comprised most of it. Aside from that, no major complaints at all, keep it up! read more

Alright so am here to let people know about my visit and to keep you informed. Food was great as always the only thing I have to say os when I asked for jalapeños on my burger they wanted to charge me. I then told them why are you charging for something that is not posted for me to see how much it will be. I looked down and on the scrren it said side order of sour cream. I then asked why did it say sour cream she said thats how we charge it. I told her no thats not what you are supposed to do and I will not be charged for something you don't have a button for. The GM gets a bonus for the sauce they don't give out. So don't let them charge you for something that's not there. Like a green chili that's an Ortega chili. read more

Dissapointing. Took forever to get my food. The made in house buns are sweet almost like hawaiian bread tasting? burger shouldn't be sweet and this was....food wasn't hot either...which I don't understand because I purposely ordered changes to the burger so it'd be made fresh...(maybe the burger made ahead of time) if this is standard fare for this restaurant I'll pass. read more

If I could I wouldn't give this place any stars at all. The drive thru girl is very rude, They messed up my order. And when I went back The girl saw me and rolled her eyes.
