Bacon double Western cheeseburger late at night - yep, this is a review for a visit decades ago. Where else can you get a legit, giant cheeseburger like that? It was gigantic, greasy, and exactly what I wanted for dinner for a younger me. There were no other options for dinner after dinner hours. I have had bad experiences with a certain Carl's Jr. a lot farther away where the burger deals drew me in - about three burgers for a good price. But it turned out to be dry, lukewarm, and seemed microwaved. But fast forward to my most recent visit, I tried the simple jalapeno double cheeseburger from the value menu, and it turned out well! It was hot to-go with fresh ingredients that were solid. It was good, and so I would consider coming back to try more in the future! Not bad quality for the price! read more

OMG, that Mexican music is way too loud! Choice of music is questionable for a Carl's Jr and volume was blasting. No wonder there's no one at this location but an employee taking a break. I asked them to turn the music down, took them awhile to get attention to it so I asked again and finally someone came to turn it down but it's still louder than background music. I wonder if headquarters knows they're doing this. Not good for branding. As I got up ready to leave, the employee hurries over and increases the volume again back to max. Seriously, no matter what music type you like, the volume is just way too loud for eating. Next time I want Carl's Jr, I'll go further to another franchise location to eat in peace. Also both soda machines were broken at the same time. Girl helped me get Coke from the back but makes me wonder how long they've been broken for. Likely no one complains because there aren't a lot of dine-in orders to begin with. I didn't catch it because I was too distracted with the music to notice that even though I wanted the meal upgrade for $2 for small, they charged and gave me the large size by default. Scandalous practices at best. Upsold me without even asking. My burger price almost doubled. $5.99 for the California XL + $2 for the meal turned out to be $11.11??? You may have cheated me this one time, but you do realize I'm never coming back right and neither are my friends nor family. read more

Five Words: This store is BACK, Baby! I'd been avoiding this particular branch for the past several months because the last time I was here, I really didn't have a good experience. Cut to today: This time I decided to bite the bullet and eat in the dining area for lunch, and man-oh-man am I glad I did! I walked up to the counter where an absolute Champion of Customer Service promptly took my order. I then went to snag a table and, after a few minutes, the same guy came out to deliver my food on a tray. This has NEVER happened to me in all the years I'd visited this particular store! The tray was expertly laid out with my Western Bacon Cheeseburger, Fried Zucchini, Ranch Dressing, ketchup, and napkins. As I ate, the guy asked me if everything was all right. Was I really eating in the same place I was back in October of last year? After I finished, I emptied my tray into the trash and brought it up to the front counter just to be a good guy. I asked one of the staff members there if this branch had gotten new management, to which she replied in the affirmative. :-) Redemption achieved! I will now return on a regular basis. read more

This is the first place I've ever experienced an automated drive-through assistant. It's a horrific experience. When I got to the window and complained to the live human about just how bad the AI is and how it shouldn't take that long to get a simple order straight, the worker commiserated with me and told me that they were having problems with it and would be getting rid of it soon. I came a month later, and not only was the AI assistant still working, but Carl's Jr.* had gotten rid of all of its Beyond Meat options. When I asked the assistant what veggie things I could have, it listed all these ridiculous "options" that weren't on the menu and, thus, would cost an arm and a leg because you're adding and subbing a bunch of stuff. In short, No thank you, although I used coarser language with the orderbot from hell. I'm never coming to this Carl's Jr. again. Aside from the AI-assistant disaster, this place is consistently slow in fulfilling drive-through orders, even when it's completely empty, no one else is in line, and there are at least three employees working. Also, it's technically illegal to turn left onto Junipero Serra Boulevard from the drive-through exit. It's a double yellow line, which means you can't turn across it. There should be a clear NO LEFT TURN sign at the end of the drive-through lane, but there isn't. I've seen cops lurking on Junipero Serra with their lights off, too, so it definitely is a risk you're taking if you turn left. Shame on Carl's Jr.! *Apparently, Beyond Meat is still available at some Carl's locations, but not most. read more

My brother and I came here a few days ago on Christmas Eve for a quick lunch. We have been coming here a few times a year for many years now. We really like eating here because there is lots of parking in the back, the restaurant is always clean and the staff persons are always friendly. I really enjoyed my Super Star Burger Combo. I also had some Waffle Fries and some Fried Zucchini, which is my all time favorite. I highly recommend this place if ever you are in this part of Daly City. read more

Its just a ghetto location. I've been to locations in "Bad" parts of Los Angeles that are better than this place and that's saying a lot. They constantly forget to put dips/ sauces in the bag but tape it up as if they did so you can't check w/o ripping it open, they never have any of the deals that any of the other locations have throughout the entire state, any time you order ANYTHING with bacon the bacon is guaranteed to be undercooked.... I mean its already bad enough that the prices of everything are much higher than anywhere else. They even have a decent Fried Zucchini, but don't include any dip in the bag or even have a special sauce for it! Huge missed opportunity that any good businessman/woman would capitalize on. On the bright side, they FINALLY got their location on the App but this location took WAY too long to do it. There's simply an overall lackluster effort from this particular location and I can't understand why. Came here for the guacamole bacon burger, because of the picture, Carls Jr show in their ad. In the picture, it shows the guacamole topping close to an inch thick on the burger.The guacamole on the burger, I got, I couldn't even see it. Went to the drive thru and ordered with the autobot. Then repeated the order to a human. Ordered a chicken club sandwich and a three piece chicken taquitos without looking at the prices. Cost was outrageous $19.50. Have to admit that both items looked and tasted good. The sandwich was a good size with bacon, lettuce and tomato, and the chicken was fine. Bun a little mushy. The 3 taquitos came on a bed of lettuce with some tomato salsa and a little sour cream on top. Heads up: for some reason, the Dr. Pepper never tastes right at this location. I thought perhaps they were running out of mix, but it happens every time--so make sure you check your drinks before driving away. Overall, the employees are usually really friendly and the location is convenient, so I keep coming back... despite the seemingly inflated food prices. My new favorite is the Beyond Western burger. This person is amazing calm and welcoming San Francisco's downpour and wind warning weather. It gets better. I order and pull up, SHE times when I roll down my window and steps back and smiles but in a louder then normal voice but still comforting, repeats my order, tells me the price, and apologizes for the method of her being far away from the window in such a way that she reminded me of my sweet and from The Philippines Islands Grandma (rest in peace) understands English but is more fluent in another language, but it doesn't stop her from making you feel comfortable and the tonal quality actually has an alluring ring to it. I could not help but smile. That's rare! With the weather, me dropping my phone on the wet floor mat, my anticipated wait time being grossly miscalculated, the perfect professional greeting with a touch of nostalgic comforts had me feeling I will leave a great review even if she messes up my order. She didn't by the way, and whomever she was teamed up with that night, sweet delicious Iron Chef it was good (and I still had to drive it home and then unload and change before I actually sat down to eat it, it was gooooood cold, my friends) This place knows what they are doing, and you do not find Carl JR's in too many places where I live, so, this is where I will come hoping to find another blessing from above if I want a milk shake with real ice cream. read more

Me and my husband likes coming to this Carl's Jr. location. My husband always gets him his 6 Star Burger and Crunchy Tacos. Now that they have the Beyond Burger I'm literally here once or twice a week. Location: Is 13 minutes away from where we live. Food: Is always made to order so it's hot and fresh. Staff: Very friendly, we always see the same staff when we go no matter what day or time. Overall, the reason for this 5 star review is not for the food it's for a particular staff named Hernan. Hernan is very polite and greets customers as they walk in. I don't think this fellow ever has a bad day because he's alway courteous and very patient and trust me. Me and my families orders are always complicated and we're a family of 7. I wish all fast food restaurants has staff like Hernan that gives you that 100% satisfaction customer services. RIP OFF: I read the menu outside. A chicken sandwich by itself was about $10 and fries were about $4.50. I handed the worker a $20. She gave me my order and about $2.40 as change. We went here about an hour ago and was disappointed with the service and our order. 2 out 3 employees were not wearing a mask. No smile no hi or anything to anyone. They didn't looked too happy with their job. It was like making an order with the mummies. Anyway, the fries was awful as it looks old, not crispy at all. The onion ring was far from crispy. It was like eating a cold fried chicken. Order 6 hard shell tacos and the lettuce was old. My daughter ordered a steak burrito and got a beef burrito instead. Thurs, 23rd of June. 1PM. I made the mistake of going to this Carl's Jr. Talk about a franchise where people don't care at all about what they are doing. 1. Double western cheeseburger - burger patties tasted like mush, onion ring was similar to what I think chewing on glass would be like. The bacon was also quite old and weirdly crunchy. I couldn't eat it. It was horrible. 2. Crisscut fries. These were completely stale and reheated. They were terrible. I couldn't eat them. 3. Large Dr. Pepper Only thing i could stomach but I won't drink it cause this franchise clearly has given up. $16 for less quality then you would find in a garbage bin at any restaurant. I am no novice of fast food. I understand the inconsistencies that come with franchises. I understand sometimes things are not as good as others. But this was in my opinion a blatant disregard for any form of food quality. A obvious knowing of serving the customer pure garbage. The fact that Carl's Jr. head office doesn't do anything about this shows how little anyone associated with this franchise cares even a little bit about the customer. To think i felt sorry for this place cause it never has any customers. Guess the old adage the customer is always right or in this case the lack of customers is always right is absolute truth.
