El diablo 1/2 lber with cross cut fries.
    Wuz K.

Wonderful burger, very lean. With such a lean patty, there is a dryness associated and a good sauce is a must. I tried the el diablo and found the jalapenos too briney. The poppers were also not very tasty and more gooey soft bits in the burger. The bun was awesome very fresh and soft and didnt disintegrate immediately while eating. The bacon was rather thin but cooked nicely soft and helped provide some juice for a lean burger. Another downside is the coke. The flavour is off. The first try was because it was empty. The second gave me the taste of american coke which is different than what we get here in canada. This was very disappointing. Overall not a great experience but I would go back foranother burger.

Okay, so, I may have cheated on my pescatarian diet again (sorry, animals) but I just had to make an exception for Carl's Jr. The hype was too major. I'll chalk it up to mob mentality. As for Carl's Jr., I was satisfied with the experience. Was it worth it to break my diet? Nope. I mean I haven't had a burger in a 8 months so maybe I was building it up in my head. The burger itself was massive(1/3 lb) and you could make it 'massive-er' by ordering the 1/2 lb. I got the Guacamole Bacon Thickburger, I mean if I was cheating on my diet, I might as well eat all the farm animals I can, right? right? lol. I would describe it as an equivalent to a pub burger. It is nice to have pub-style burgers available as fast food though. And the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice too, like an upscale version or renovated fast food/diner place--which seems like the new trend for FF restaurants. I also upgraded my fries to the chilli fries, which I really did not like it was quite salty and the spices were odd. It almost tasted like there was curry powder in it. If you're coming here prepare to wait, it must be the hype surrounding the opening. And the drive-thru has major delays! Like spilling onto the streets-delays. I probably wouldn't go back to Carl's Jr. because of my dietary restrictions (unless I give in again, which could happen) but if you're a meatasaurus this is your jam!!

    6 dollar burger...its $7.29 though.

Pros- tasty buger, nice atmosphere, large portions Cons-price, inconsistency of food I had a six dollar burger meal with a medium combo and it was more th an enough for myself due to the large portion and cup size. The burger itself was very tasty, but still seemed like a fast food burger, just a higher quality one. For the price of 11.50 or so, i enjoyed a nice lunch.

Cool looking spot! Don't have one of these where we are

Food was like McDonalds. Greasy feeling in the end of it . Atmosphere was cool , service was friendly ! Fries were decent.

Pretty average fast food burger, not bad. Would have been better if it was hot, everything was kind of luke warm.

2026-08-09. Peter's Drive-In…read more My daughter said this is a local hot spot for burgers. The menu is limited to burgers, dogs, fries, onion rings, and ice cream which was very promising, but sadly it fell short of my expectations. Tried their poutine, the single, and the cheeseburger. To start, their singles come with what appears to be 1.5 patties, which makes a better meat to bun ratio; however the patty somehow tasted dry despite having the burger fully loaded. The signature Peter's sauce was also disappointing to me. It was a red sauce without a signature flavor to it that i wa sable to discern, and it made my burger a little sloppy to eat. 2 stars. The poutine was another disappointment. They use a thinner French fry here; much better to eat on its own with a little salt. The amount of cheese curds was also lacking, but the curds themselves were ooey gooey good giving a nice cheese pull. The gravy was decent and provided the needed salt for the dish. 2.5 stars. The shake was the only decent thing of the entire meal. You get to mix up to three flavours and I went with a Maple Cherry Vanilla. The cherry was bright up front and each sip finished nicely leaving a taste of maple on the palette. 4 stars. Coincidently I'm not a local, so this really wouldn't be my spot. But I would return for their shakes. The fries can probably hold theor own naked with a little salt, but I'd probably try their onion rings to see if they fare any better. A solid 2.5 stars rounded down as ive definitely had better. If you'd like to experience more come dine-with-me.yelp.com I'd love to have your company... Bon Appétit!

Dim Sum After Landing -- A Very Sad Story…read more We came straight from the airport to this Chinese restaurant because the Google reviews looked amazing. My boyfriend picked it, and honestly, walking in, the place looked clean enough. Service was fine too. So far, hope was alive. Then the food arrived. The BBQ Pork Rice Crepe was very average. The BBQ pork was loose and messy, the sauce leaned too sweet, and the rice noodle wrapper was so soft it basically gave up the moment my chopsticks touched it. The green vegetable on the side had no flavor at all. 2/5 The Steamed BBQ Pork Buns were a true disappointment. There was barely any BBQ pork inside, and the bun itself looked fluffy but somehow became super sticky in the mouth. Even my boyfriend, who is usually the least picky human alive, took two bites and pushed the bun skin aside. His review: "This is really bad." 1/5 The Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings tasted exactly like frozen supermarket dumplings. The $2.99 bag kind. And somehow they were not even crispy. Tragic. 1/5 The Har Gow and Steamed Spareribs were also forgettable. No personality, no flavor, no joy. But the most depressing dish was the Chicken Clay Pot Rice. I saw vegetables. I saw mushrooms. I saw chicken. I saw three sad slices of Chinese sausage. What I did not see was flavor. Not even salt showed up to work today. It honestly made me wonder: did the head chef call in sick? Or was the chef just having a very bad day and decided to cook food that matched the mood? Overall: 1/5 A deeply disappointing meal. By the end, I was seriously questioning whether the Google reviews were written by real customers or hired by the restaurant's emotional support team. Absolutely terrible.

The place is easy to find an near 16th avenue but parking is a challenge as there is limited 2 hour street parking. It's in a residential area so there are lots of permit parking. It's a nice little corner restaurant with lots of seating on patio and also inside. One thing that struck us is the place is super clean and we liked that the restaurant had sustainability practices in place. For example, there is no garbage - only recycling and compost. All their cups and burger boxes are all compostable. They also provided a water dispenser to fill up your water bottles or compostable cup (provided). I even saw outside they had little bowls so even your furry friends can have water. This restaurant, you order at the counter, they give you a buzzer and when food is ready you pick it up. We had 3 Double Empire burgers with cheese, 1 Empire burger with cheese, and order of fries to share, and a chocolate milk share. Also, took advantage of complimentary water and I dispensed waters for the table. Everything was really fresh and tasted great. Burgers had great flavour and didn't fall apart. The fries were nice and crispy with warm soft center. The milkshake was great and not super sweet albeit a bit small. Staff were friendly - they all said bye to us, when we left, like they appreciated us being there. Great food, inviting space, and sustainability practices all make this a 5* review.
