Bling bling, thank you for my ring!…read more Backstory: Married my best bud in 2017. He proposed with his Great Aunt's ring that couldn't have been more perfect. That being said, we had to size it down and fix the prongs that hold the diamond in place. There were a few hiccups with the first jeweler we went to who said that "they didn't realize the metal was yada yada" and that's why there were issues. No thanks, bye bye now. There was another jeweler who created Robert's ring and my temporary wedding ring that we liked, but weren't a huge fan of when we didn't get the owner and had to work with one of the other associates. I had to get my engagement ring sized down again and they accidentally made it a 7 instead of a 4, fixed it, but with no reduction in repair price or apology. They also weren't inspiring to work with when we went in to discuss what I wanted for my dream wedding ring. But third times a charm, right? Enter David. I was visiting the Northshore to see my Stepmom and she was checking on a custom piece she was having made. She suggested I give him a shot and I told him how I wanted a wedding ring to sit flush with my engagement ring and how I researched real and artificial Alexandrite, and that I wanted the blue/purple kind that changed to green and not the red to green kind, and was fine with the artificial, and here are 10 pictures of what I like. David listened to my verbose wants, took my prized engagement ring for measurements, and sent me on my way. I don't go to the Northshore on the reg but every couple of weeks, he'd say, "Come one over and see what we're working with." I brought my husband the second time and Robert loved him some David. David showed us what artificial Alexandrite looked like and what natural looked like, and explained why he suggested the natural. We went in that direction and made some minor tweaks to the design. A couple more weeks and he had the ring ready. So, silly me, I didn't ask about pricing. ;) I wanted my dream ring but Robert was obviously footing the bill. It was like playing The Price Is Right because it came in right at our budget. I would suggest talking price ahead of time, but I couldn't be happier with my ring. I'll try and get a picture that does it justice. We loved working with David and when he wasn't there, his associate was just as great. Highly recommend checking him out even if it is a wee jaunt to the Northshore. Eat breakfast around the block at Autonomy and it'll totally be worth it.

This is the best place on the Northshore for jewelry. You wont be ripped off and there is no sense…read moreof you being pushed and shoved into something you don't want. If you don't see what you want , they will be quick to offer to make something unique that is exactly what you want. It won't cost you more for this so be sure to explore this option. We had an old ring that was missing some diamonds and was not the style we wanted. Dave turned it into a showpiece that has a "one of a kind" feel that gets the most flattering comments. Shouldn't jewelry reflect our personality and not that of some designer we don't know?

Made sure to call before hand to make sure they were able to change the battery in my tag hauer. Yes!! Come on in!! Walk in, there were a few people waiting. I show them my watch, that was purchased from Aucoin Heart and they looked at me like I had 3 eyeballs. Made me very embarrassed Never again. Nobody beats Aucoin heart. I'm sorry. They treat you like royalty. Not this establishment. I'll take the drive across the lake. Aucoin heart changes the battery for free anyway.

Boudreaux's Jewelers is a great, local jeweler…read more I recently purchased a new watch and needed the band adjusted. The watch came with an extra link, but I needed an expert to attach it. I decided to stop by Boudreaux's on the recommendation of a family member, and was very pleased with their service. Despite not being an authorized seller for the watch brand I owned, their expert was able to install the band in under five minutes. Problem was that the watch still didn't fit. This caused me great frustration, but the jeweler had an easy suggestion. He whipped out his catalog and ordered one additional link. I figured it would be a week or so for it to arrive, but in a couple of days, they called and told me it was in. Now for the interesting part of the review. When I told my mom that I needed to stop at Boudreaux's for my watch link, she remembered a piece of jewelry that she had dropped off to repair. Problem was that she had dropped it off nearly two years before and forgot to pick it up. I was sure that Boudreaux's would have melted it down or sold it, but surprisingly they had it in a box somewhere. They told us that they actually never get rid of stuff customers forget, they just box it up. That kind of service is amazing in this day and age. More amazing is that since I was buying a watch link, they didn't even charge her for her repair. If you need jewelry or repair services, I strongly encourage you to check out Boudreaux's.

Oh, hello there locally owned jewelry shop of my dreams…read more I received a beautiful watch as a gift recently and it needed a few links removed to fit just right. I called Champange Jewelers since they are very close to my workplace and also locally owned. I love supporting local businesses whenever I can. I was informed they could remove links for around $13 and could do it while I waited. Perfect, right? Here's what they didn't tell me. Removing links takes just long enough for you to browse (and by browse I mean gasp) and ohh and ahh (and by ohh and ahh I mean nearly faint) at all the pretty little things under the glass here. I had no idea I NEEDED an aquamarine ring that will cost me upwards of $7000 but I do now. I really wish I hadn't seen those diamond earrings that I'm putting on my wish list as we speak, but I did and it's on now, baby. I was barely able to drag myself out of here once my links were removed...which I might add were perfectly done. P.S. Sorry about the drool on your cases you had to clean up when I finally did go.

But the folks at Champagne couldn't be more cordial and welcoming even though it wasn't a big ticket repair. They called me to let me know when everything was ready and let's just say, it was priced more than fairly!! Very pleased with my experience and would not hesitate to recommend their customer service...and their jewelry...exquisite!! Rarely have I seen such quality and creative pieces - and I'm a vintage jewelry collector!! Highly recommend that you walk in and look around. Champagne Jewelers has a no-pressure approach and a beautiful showroom with everything from High School Grad rings that I would be proud to wear, to the most delicate pearl and gemstone sets. Breathtaking designs!

We worked through several designs and concepts until we found a most purposeful presentation, which my wife, and many others over the years, adore. Recently, I returned to Lowe's with a challenge and as always they were up to the task. I have a medal I have worn on a chain around my neck for over 53 years. It was removed for boot camp and for medical procedures and tests other than that it remained around my neck. Needless to say, the sterling silver was worn and I was afraid that the jump ring and or bail would be giving way soon, as even with the naked eye one could see the wearing of the silver. Brian, looked at this personal treasure as his own and with an expression of respect and dignity offered several options to repair and replace portions of the medal without altering my lifelong treasure, which was gifted to me by my wife before our wedding. Lowe's, lead by Brian, was masterful in handling my "treasure" respecting, as if it were their own, my 53 years of wearing this medal. Thank you Brian for your craft and all the folks at Lowe's who always greet me as family.
