They were super thin to begin with, and with age they had started to thin out even more. They were so thin, they disappeared in photos . Anyways, she helped me pick out color that would complement my ever changing hair color. The process it self isn't completely painless. She uses numbing creams on your brows so it is a lot less painful than getting a tattoo, but you do still feel the tools slightly on your skin. (A little) pain is beauty, right? Keep in mind your skin and your skin care routine can really impact how long it will take your brows to fade. You should expect to come in once a year for an annual touch up. Immediately after after a visit you'll need to avoid getting water on your brows for a day, and then avoid being in direct sunlight and sweating (I avoided taking cardio) for about a week for the ink to set. This is the same with tattoos (which I have a few of so I was prepared for this). Your brows will look darker than expected due to scabbing but your real brows will be revealed by the end of the week! One last thing to be prepared for: funny looks from people when your skin starts to heal and peel One patch of skin on my right brow which for no good reason just does not hold ink. It fades super quick compared to the rest which stays and fades consistently over a year, but this one spot just refuses to keep ink! Amy has been super helpful and nice in doing extra sessions to try going over that spot a bit extra. It's definitely easy enough to fill in this one spot with makeup but wanted to mention since Amy has done everything to to try to help it, but it's clearly an issue with that patch of skin. For you people who hate calling to make appointments, you can schedule online and even text her direct (I've sent photos of my brows this way) and she's super quick (within 24 hours) in responding!

Her salon is clean and pretty. Like many, I was nervous with how dark my brows looked at first but trust Jennifer! They will fade after the healing process and get lighter. Then the brows really look natural. My pain tolerance is probably on the lower end and I thought it was overall tolerable. Some areas there was little discomfort; some areas on your brows there's more discomfort if it's a sensitive area. After a week later, I came back to do lash lift and I am so glad that I did! I am Asian and my straight lashes actually curl up now! No pain or discomfort with this procedure. Love the lash lift and plan to touch up every 8 weeks. I was pretty nervous about getting permanent makeup done because it's... you know... permanent, but…read moreJenny did an amazing job with my eyeliner and I'm LOVING it. The whole process took about 2 hours. I took a Tylenol 30 minutes before my appointment as recommended in the pre-care instructions. First, Jenny drew on my eyeliner and confirmed it was the look I wanted. Next, she had my close my eyes and applied numbing cream to my upper lash line. I laid there for about 20 minutes and then she came back and gently scratched the upper lash line and applied more numbing cream and I laid for another 20 minutes. The actual tattooing portion wasn't exactly painful, but was highly unnerving because there was a tattoo gun on my eyeballs. I felt fine for most of it and only really felt pain toward the end when she was doing the finishing touches on the outer portion of my lash line (the inner corners and middle of the eye weren't painful whatsoever). I think this was because after having been gone over once the eye was more sensitive during the final touches. After the procedure she gave me an ice pack and I kept them on my closed eyes for a while before leaving. I would say that the two days after are the most uncomfortable part of the experience because your eyes are swollen. I iced them on an off the rest of the day the day of and as needed the following two days. She said it would be a bit swollen for the following day and then would be better, but for me it was more like 3 days until my eyes felt truly normal. I would recommend getting a cooling gel eye mask that you can wear the day or 2 after for simplicity. The days after aren't so bad you need to ice constantly and I think if I had had a cooling gel eye mask in my fridge I would have just used that to soothe the swelling. It's been 2 weeks since my procedure now and I've gotten fully accustomed to the look. It's soo nice that I look put together even when wearing absolutely no makeup. For the most part my daily makeup routine is just mascara and some lip balm or gloss so I loveeee not having to apply eyeliner. I'm also able to apply eyeshadow right over my eyeliner if I want and it will still show through. I've only actually drawn over my eyeliner once because I was going for a dramatic look. I would definitely recommend a natural look that you can play up if you want. Great experience overall! :)

I was super scared they would come out really dark and look like lipstick- but they look so amazingly natrual, most people think I have on a lip stain or some sort of gloss! When I got to Sommer's studio space, I was very nervous (even though I have countless tattoos ) but she did amazing at making sure I was comfortable and very informed about every step throughout the procedure.. that in itself put my mind at ease especially because I had a mouth guard in and couldn't really ask any questions () . Also, she keeps her space very very clean, & tidy. (Plus her disinfection & sanitation is on point!! ) I had a specific color in mind and Sommer was able to find the exact color I wanted very quickly and even let me try it on to be sure that's what I actually wanted! I told her my concerns about my small upper lip and she showed me how she could accentuate my cupid's bow & natural lining of my lips to give a fuller, more feminine look- I was skeptical but decided to just go for it! Sommer made sure I was comfortable and as numb as possible throughout the procedure as I didn't take too well to the first round of numbing cream, she explained that once the skin was broken she could use another numbing cream and when she did, I was totally numb!! The parts of my lips closest to the inside of my mouth felt a little "prickly" but nothing unbearable at all!! After the procedure was finished she explained all aftercare to me and sent me home with an aftercare kit to use for the next 10-14 days... there was some peeling and dryness to my lips for the next week or so but that was to be expected. I felt no pain or tenderness after the first day, once the initial swelling went down. Then, after about 10 days they seemed to be healed up very nicely and I am absolutely in love with them!! Perfect if you're looking for something subtle but still sexy! Now all I have to do in the mornings is put on my lashes and clear lip gloss and I'm done!! Thank you so much Sommer! It was truly a pleasure & I can't wait for my touch up!!

I was a client myself and also brought my 16-year-old daughter for treatment. The owner was unprofessional, inflexible, and provided poor customer service. When the treatment was ineffective, my daughter was made to feel as though it was her fault, which is completely unacceptable--especially when working with a minor. There was no clear plan of care, no accountability for poor results, and the equipment used does not appear to be state-of-the-art. Rather than adjusting the approach, responsibility was shifted to the client. I would walk around with a full beard before I ever give this woman another penny of my money.
