The kitchen section is my favorite, and there was no shortage of international specialty foods, glassware, baking pans and trays, and all sorts of other convenience items that I didn't even know I needed. I even managed to score some food storage containers in my favorite color, Tiffany Blue. There are multiple displays for both spring and independence Day so if you are looking to refresh your home for either of those holidays, they've got you covered. I took a quick brows through the other sections. The pet care section has so many items for free friends including climbing towers for cats. There was a small collection of paintings for the home. I saw a couple of nice lamps that I don't need so I had to turn my head quickly and look the other way as I walked past. Also love the paper goods. Lots of pretty cocktail and dinner napkins to choose from. If you're in the area it's definitely worth stopping by to take a peek.

It was barely used and was in excellent condition, but for some odd reason the cushion was sinking. I figured, if I got it reupholstered to the color of my choice and had the cushion replaced, it would be good as new. I took to my handy dandy Yelp app and did a search and Mill End popped up. I'm familiar with the shop, since a family member worked there years ago, but I had no clue they did this type of work. I gave them a call and was told to bring in a picture to evaluate the chair because they didn't want me to be without my chair for a long time. Well, I thought bringing in the chair itself would be easier, since I wasn't in a hurry for it. I was greeted by a very knowledgeable staff member who gushed about how beautiful the chair was. She did an evaluation of what would be needed to repair and reupholster it and then showed me the fabrics that were available in the color I selected. They have a large variety of fabrics on-sight in the store, but they do have options that can be ordered. The one I selected was on-sight. We agreed upon the estimated price, I filled out some paperwork and I was out the door. It was literally that quick and simple. Since they have a pretty extensive client list waiting for their projects before me, my estimated date for the chair to be completed was about 2 months or so. To my surprise, I was called about a month later informing me that my chair was ready. I arrived and was extremely pleased with my brand new chair. The workmanship was beautifully done and the cushion they replaced was perfectly placed. They did such a phenomenal job, my parents wanted their chair back. Lol! Not on my watch! Yes, Mill End is a bit pricey, but so worth it! They're truly professionals. I'm planning to get my dinning room chairs reupholstered in the near future, so I made sure to get an estimate while I was there. I'll absolutely be back in the near future.

I've been to a few locations looking for good pieces of furniture, with no luck. But this Bowie location is GREAT! I walked in expecting to walk back out shortly thereafter, but I browsed for quite a bit! It's quite a ways from my house, but I was in the area and would come back just to see what new items they have. I was looking for a comfortable chair to place in my bedroom and some counter-height stools for my kitchen. I did see a lot of options but didn't make a purchase because I didn't have a way to transport. But they really had some nice couches, ottomans, and paintings! I'm definitely coming back even if only for a painting. The employees weren't hovering (which I love). Mekhi was especially helpful with information about heading to their website to find additional counter stools they didn't have in stock. I'll be back!
