Carlos Auto Glass - Auto Glass Services Near Me - Coachella, California

2018 Toyota RAV4 needed a new windshield. Took vehicle to this place once windshield arrived. When I arrived I realized they didn't have a shop per se, just a dirt driveway covered in broken windshield glass. They had a few folding chairs to sit on in the sun. The air reeked of marijuana as well. Seems there is a marijuana grow and/or processing place close by. Not their fault but I wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. Can't stand the smell of marijuana. When I got home a warning light in dashboard on. They didn't connect the wire harness on the collision avoidance sensor that is mounted to the windshield. Went back, they connected it All is good...or so I thought. The next day or so, my wife said the whole sensor with its mounting bracket came off the windshield. Looked at it and she was correct the whole thing had come down and was resting in the rear view mirror. Called them and they told me to go back and they would fix it. Went back, they supposedly took care of it. A couple day later it comes down again. Shlepped over there once again so they could look at it. This is when they told me they had installed the wrong windshield! They had also been trying to secure the sensor to the windshield with the black silicone type sealant that it used to seal the windshield onto the vehicle! It was never going to hold. On top of it, they damaged the cover for the sensor, broke off a couple of tabs that secure it to the sensor bracket. They tried to glue it on using the same black sealant! So back I go for the fourth or fifth time with the promise they would take care of the issues. The correct windshield had the mounting bracket already attached with factory strength adhesive that would not detach. They installed the new windshield, but used the same damaged cover and once again used that black sealant to try and secure it to the mounting bracket. The cover has since come off again. I wasn't going to waste my time going back again to this dreadful place. I ordered a new cover and will install it myself. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. read more

Within an hour and a half, his employees were at my house and completed the windshield replacement in 20 mins. Their price beat other well known name brand window places by hundreds of dollars. This was Carlos Auto Glass in Sun Valley (818)568-9338 I went first on line found my window for $19-$33 after S&H). I figured a place that sold used parts or a junk yard would be comparable & I'd know what I was getting. After numerous quotes for $100 for the window and 70-$100 for the labor I was headed back home to buy on line and install myself. On a lark I say Carlos's show and decided to turn in. He told me $85 installed. It took less than an hour. He's my hero. TKCAL read more

How many times has your car been sandblasted (aka dermabrasion) and your windshield pitted going from I10 to Palm Springs? The wind was blowing and I ended up with this huge tree branch through my windshield. I called around and got several estimates. Discouraged, I called a friend and was told to call Carlos Auto Glass, (2 shops in the Coachella Valley.) They quoted me a price that was so low, I made them repeat it three times. They came out to the house and had the windshield replaced in less than a half hour. Please trust me on this one, folks. 1 $ cost and a 5* rating!!! THE BEST,EVER!!! read more
