It's set up in a shared space, which I actually thought was really unique, you walk in and the bookstore is to your right, and there's another shop to the left. Even with that setup, it still feels like the perfect amount of space for browsing without feeling cramped. The shop itself is small and intimate, but don't let the size fool you they have a great variety of books. I was just casually browsing this time, but I found myself really drawn in by both the collection and the decor. It has such a cozy, thoughtfully curated feel. Even on a quick visit, I could tell this is the kind of place you come back to when you want to slow down and really enjoy the experience of book shopping. I'm already planning to return so I can take my time and dig deeper into everything they have to offer. Definitely worth stopping in if you love a charming local bookstore with a cozy vibe. I chatted with Audra who was helping out in the bookshop and she was helpful and informative. There are bathrooms inside the shared space both upstairs and downstairs. I got myself a "blind date with a book" which came with lots of little goodies and surprises between the wrapping paper. The tag tells you about themes of the books, and also includes other ratings and triggers. Definitely excited to unwrap and read! Prices of used books are easily marked, which is nice. Lots of variety of genres. Fun to run wild in the shop and see what's in there! My favorite little detail is their business cards are actually a bookmark, which they included with their shopping bags. Their shopping bag is hand stamped with a bow! So cute. Will be back.

They had a print that was hard to find, the price was competitive, and communication after sale was excellent. The print arrived today securely packed and on date promised. Can't say enough about this experience. When I look for prints in the future I'll come here first.

Hooray! -The painting arrived two weeks later as promised. And the negatives: -I emailed the company to inquire about framing, which is one of the options they offer on a purchase, and I never got a response. Ever. -The skimpy packaging scared me a little when it arrived. The painting was wrapped in one layer of that thin sheet styrofoam stuff and placed inside a cardboard box. Upon further inspection, no damage found. Phew! -The 'order status' link they sent me is wildly inaccurate. I already got the painting, but the site still says it will ship in 1-2 weeks. Huh? All in all, an online shop would probably not be my first choice for buying art. But if you're looking for a good price on something you know you like (ie. a piece or artist you've already seen in person), this is a good site to check. I'm happy I found it.

From the minute you walk through her door and climb the stairs to her studio you know you are in the presence of something wonderful and possibly life-altering. She greets you with the enthusiasm of a long-lost friend. She will stop whatever she is doing to talk with you...and be prepared to spend some time because there is so much to talk about! As you wander through her studio, which is on the small side but jam-packed with wonderful things to look at, Brenda will happily explain to you the history behind each piece, what inspired it, why she created it, and if it is part of a series. We just enjoyed "Talking Tombstones" a cemetery walk with a theatre element, presented by the…read moreMechanicsburg Museum! Period costume actors portrayed cemetery residents. Each character shared stories of their lives in Mechanicsburg, with plenty of anecdotes about the town and eachother. It was entertaining and educational. It gave me a human perspective of the history of this area. There is a lecture presentation of "Talking Tombstones" on Sunday October 27, 2024 at 2:00pm at the museum.
