I struggle with cheese in soups and chili because it "coats" the spoon and feels lumpy. But it tasted delicious as did my tuna melt. The staff were very friendly, patiently answered our questions since it was our first time eating there. The decor and atmosphere were welcoming, homemade cooking and conversation thriving in this business tucked back in a small strip mall location. I especially loved the cork board with receipts for extra meals already paid for, so people needing a hand can get what they need in a respectful inconspicuous manner. What a loving gesture. The pricing was fair or the generous portions. I highly recommend this cafe, they do things right!

I love the laid back atmosphere too. I can't wait to return next time I'm back in town.

The food was absolutely delicious--we highly recommend the pepper jack cheese appetizer, their pizza, and the cheesecake for dessert. It's clearly a local favorite; even arriving early, almost every table was filled by the time we finished. The atmosphere is great, too--it feels like the kind of spot where you'd see a row of snowmobiles parked out front after a fresh snowfall. We're already planning our next trip back to try more of the 'house favorites' marked with the fork icon on the menu!

Our server, Carissa, was fantastic and friendly offering her recommendations upon my asking. I'd go back again if I was nearby.

The servers are the only reason i'm giving them two stars. We've eaten there several times, and the food is getting progressively worse. I had the 12oz prime rib tonight. I asked for it to come medium and got well done. In fact, it was well beyond well done. It was dry. It was flavorless, except along the edges that had a grunch of pepper. The baked potato had to have been baked yesterday. I will still go here because sadly, it's one of the better restaurants in the area. If you go there, have the pizza and forget the menu.
