I had an unfortunate experience with Blatman Health and Wellness which was related to their…read morebusiness practices. I was charged $600 at the time of my initial visit and was told that a future (second) visit was included... $300 for the first and $300 for the next visit. At the time I thought that practice was odd but I didn't complain, expecting to return at a later date. After several cancellations due to personal conflicts and after researching alternative practices and processes, I decided to go in a different (and what I believe is a better direction) to address my health concerns. When I called to request a credit, I was put on hold, the call dropped, I called back and was transferred to another employee only to find out that there was a different understanding of the credit to be provided. After about an hour, I received a callback from Shane the Business Manager about my request. He indicated that I would only be receiving a $200 credit, not $300 as I expected. After much discussion, he indicated that the $200 credit was final and he would issue a check. I told him I did not agree with this decision and explained that I would be providing a review/ complaint about this business practice. I recommended that the staff should explain this business practice with patients before receiving care so this practice it is clearly understood.

He stripped my fascia and gave me targeted trigger point massage, and I was stunned to be able to hop off of the table with very little lingering pain. He taught me physical techniques to continue reducing pain on my own, as well as healing my inflammation with better diet. I've found both Dr. Blatman and the team of assistants receptive to thoughtfully answering questions and giving guidance. My experience has been a pain healing solution, and I solidly recommend this clinic.

He is very personable, and his staff is professional and nice. I felt comfortable from the very beginning, and never doubted my decision. He came recommended to me by two medical doctor friends, who both swear he is the best. My vision went from not being able to see my hand in front of my face to 20/15 with improved night vision. Dr. Varley is amazing -- don't go anywhere else!!

Dr. Varley is personable and accomplished; I have a major fear of doctors and he put me at ease. The Lasik procedure itself is pretty simple, it only takes a few minutes from start to finish, but it's pretty scary in thought...the doctors actually cut into your eyeball using lasers. Patients are given a "laughing gas" sort of medication to calm and are then led to the surgery room, where eyes are completely numb. From there, Dr. Varley walks his patients through each step of the process. The scariest part for me was when he said, "Ok, you're going to be blind in this eye for a few seconds." I freaked, but Dr. Varley counted back from ten and as soon as he hit "zero," I could see again-and clearly! After the procedure I was required to wear goggles for a few weeks and I couldn't touch/rub my eyes for a few months, but my vision was perfect from the second the medication wore off. Now, more than three years later, my vision is still a perfect 20/20. I still visit Dr. Varley's office once a year for check-ups, and each time I thank him for getting rid of my glasses and contacts forever!
