NO STARS. Shut It Down .
I , 71, disabled had an appt. today. As I walked off the elevator, I was met with paint fumes!!!. The staff nor painters felt the need to ventilate either the hall or the clinic, through the work day!
( A VIOLATION OF HEALTH DEPT. REGULATIONS).
6 hrs. later, I will have to go to Urgent Care .
As the painters probably started at 9 am, the staff by now, was high/ sedated by hours of inhaling fumes , and didn't know or care. They were without emotion, and failed to summon a manager!!
As I began filming the painter's activity, sans fan, I was warned not to film the painter. I assured him he wasn't that important. And, since he ignored my request , I contend, HE IS AN ILLEGAL, and if he was union/ American, he would have complied with state law.
The painting company needs their license pulled and employees deported. A call has been made to immigration. Its easier to apoligize healthy, then let the ignorant assholes kill me.
Finally, as I left- teary , itchy eyes, difficulty breathing , itchy, severely elevated bp, and massive depression , no one cared, or offer any first aid. And the adjacent hospital failed to help when I becane upset.
Accordingly, the Clinic, which is headed by the Sisters of Charity Leavenworth, has failed to ensure the health of its patients, and the CO. Dept. of Health has taken a grievance against this clinic.I intend to pursue to legal action. Worth a history of asthma, well- controlled , I was thrown into an attack- AND NO ONE CARED!!!
As an EDUCATED nurse ( ret.) who has resided in Denver for 45 years, on Medicare/ Medicaid now, quite frankly , how this low income clinic , that treats the street/ poor people, doesn't surprise me. Nor the quality of care. After all Trump's Medicaid wants us dead, anyway....
But for the staff nor painters to not care about a health hazard that can create problems - IN A CLINIC, IS UNACCEPTABLE ! And legal action will follow. It should. The fact they ignired the impact on their health doesn't surprise me either.
Neither Caritus doctors, management, building management, low level staff, nor St. Jos. Hospital cared that THEY were working in a hazardess situation for OVER 8 HRS.
This says this clinic needs to be placed under new management , with professional staff ( front desk are NEVER medical , but usually immature young women who do the tasks, but are incapable of providing patient care - kindness, a deep cconcern for a toxic environment. Its time to replace these less- then -professional employees, with all those retiring RNs, who actually understand the Concept of Serving . This staff, not even close. read more
