Last year my mother took ill and in less than 4 weeks she passed away. She was and will always be the love of my life. While at Princeton Medical Center, the staff provided me with various options for hospice but spoke particularly well of two. I chose Caring People and I was deeply grateful that I did. They lived up to the commitment they stated and did more than asked. They spent a great deal of time working through my feelings and emotions during this time of required bravery through deep sadness and loss. They encouraged me to allow my mother to leave this world but showing her that I would be okay. They treated her with dignity and grace. But most importantly they gave me the strength to understanding the process of dying so that I would understand the steps that my mother was going through. She passed on with their care and carefulness. After her death, they continued to reach out to me for more than a year, sending a lot of information and engaging letters. Each one so supportive. They seemed to arrive at the exact time I needed that particular piece of encouragement or understanding of what I was going through. When we were coming up to the anniversary of her death, they reached out again, sending me a card to showed they continued to care. I called the Grief Counselor to thank her. What an amazing group of true professionals - with true heart, hard work, dedication, and kind understanding. I will never forget how much they did, were at my side and helped my mother's ease into her passing. She is now at peace yet will always remain at my side. I could not have gone through it without these true Caring People. Thank you always. Jan E. read more

As a HHA for this company I have been through plenty of ups and downs but the company is good. They treat the staff fairly and with respect. Some of the clients are tough but that is to be expected with any agency and what I like is they tell you what to expect when you go to the client home. You don't walk into somebodies house and not know what diagnosis they have. I've worked for other agencies and have been given only a name and number and expected to show up and understand what is wrong without someone explaining. I've spoken with someone names Ms. Wade when calling recently and she was a breath of fresh air. It's nice to work for people who want to work with you and see you make it. read more

I applied to this agency about 2 weeks ago and it was a good experience. They had me fill out a booklet worth of paperwork and the called me in for orientation which I attended in the Bronx. First off, the nurses are so down to earth! They were kind, cracked jokes us and gave us gentle reminders when we couldn't figure out some of the tough questions. It was almost like a clinical refresher because they showed us how to use oxygen and clean the ostomy in case we haven't worked with clients who have these needs. They even had a hoyer lift and asked if anyone needed help reviewing transfers. I'm hoping they call me for a case soon. read more

My grandmother had lung cancer and we are unsure how long she had to live. There was no way I was going to trust someone I did not know well to care for her since she did not get out of bed often and I don't want her to be taken advantage of. They sent a caregiver to my home who had experience with hospice and oxygen so that mom would be well taken care of. She was cared for like she was part of their own family. Of the 3 aides that worked with her, 2 came to her memorial service to be supportive. If you want to have trustworthy staff that genuinely care about your family, call this company. read more

I heard about Caring People from a coworker of mine. A few months ago my grandmother came to live with me from South America. As much as in my culture it is a custom to take care of your elders neither me or my mother can do it. We both work long hours in Manhattan which means that we leave our homes early and return late in the evening. I was beyond stressed about this predicament until I found these guys! God Bless you all for providing my family with a solution to our situation. Great staff! Great company! read more

This company name really explains it all. I was checking rates for a friend who is in a great need of help for her dad. They were very honest about how they can help, what services they provide, rates, and what types of people can work with mom. It was interesting to be asked what type of personality we would be looking for because if it works the first time, that's a major win in our book. I would easily recommend family and friends, my friend Danielle recommended me and I'm very happy she did. read more

Been working with the company for a few weeks and it is a wonderful family style work place. People try hard to work together and foster meaningful friendships which makes it much easier to communicate. The administrator of the office is sensational and works diligently to advocate on behalf of the staff. Its very easy to talk to someone about your concerns and see a meaningful resolution start to form. I hope I'll be able to move through the ranks and stay with the company for a long time. read more
