Bought a vehicle from Carimex and it was an awesome experience. 9 months after the purchase we noticed paint peeling from the front bumper and peeling from the hood. Peter, a sales manager, stood 100% behind their product and repainted the problem area with my only responsibility being the cost of the materials and Carimex would cover the rest. Absolutely disgusting experience! Awful customer service, poor communication, zero accountability, extremely unprofessional. Why post vehicles if you are not going to respond to customers or reach out or be incredibly rude when you do, weeks later! It should not take a month to respond and pointless to message after sold when ads also are never deleted to purposely mislead. There is endless google reviews saying the same thing. Do not do business with them. Save yourself the headache and Run! So glad for their terrible impression to avoid purchasing with them. Can only imagine how much worse it could get. Honestly, save your time and money and shop somewhere else. We bought a vehicle here in mid-June. Two weeks later the check engine and wrench lights came on and the vehicle was chugging. We were assured we would be taken care of and there would be no cost to us because of a 30 Day Warranty (plus the warranty we had purchased). They had our vehicle for about a week, and called us to pick it up claiming it was fixed. Not two minutes out of the dealership lot was it chugging again with the lights on. We turned around and gave it back. They had our vehicle for another week and a half, during which it was passed between Mazda Kitchener, a transmission shop, and the service department at Carimex. We came back to pick it up. BUT two weeks later, the same problem happened: engine and wrench lights on, chugging, vehicle switched to fourth gear and wouldn't go above 50kph. Obviously this was another issue or the service department is completely incompetent. We took it to a different auto shop, where they discovered that the cover over the computer in the car had been badly corroded, leading to the corrosion of the computer itself; the computer itself was full of moisture and was malfunctioning. Obviously not a new problem.You would think that during the two and a half weeks, at least one of the three groups of mechanics that looked at our vehicle would have seen this. Thank goodness we weren't charged for any of the work.What a waste of time. read more

Buyers beware - consumer fraud alert! Carimex transferred the title a Jeep Patriot with an active lien on it to me and concealed it. We found out about the lien 9 months after purchase when we went to sell the car since we are moving out of the country. Carimex registered the car for us, so we were utterly blindsided when this was discovered. Peter from Carimex told us the previous owners of the vehicle did not tell them that they were still paying the car off and would be done paying off the loan in September (We discovered the lien in April). They claimed they don't know how this sale with an active lien slipped through the cracks, I believe it is impossible they failed to take note of the lien when transferring the title from the old owners name to Carimex, and then again from Carimex name to mine. This caused my husband and I an enormous amount of stress when we had a deadline to sell the car before moving back to Europe. It takes weeks for a lien to clear the title after it has been paid off, so this put immense pressure on us to get rid of the vehicle in time and also diminished the sale price of our car because of Carimex's negligence in checking that the car was lien free before selling it to me. They took advantage of me as a young, first time car buyer and I am so disappointed that a registered dealership would sell me a car illegally. Long story short, don't go here- this place is shady and a huge scam. read more

If there was a negative i would chose that. This business has got to have the worst service in the world. Every time I for a price for something for my car that I bought there, they never got back to me, even tho they said they would. Every time I got my car serviced there, I had to call and ask if they're done it, or if it needs anything, even tho they said they would call me. I bought my car there, and they still haven't given me the original key, its been 4 months, i only have the valet key. it took them 2 months to get back to me about shocks and springs for my car, only because i kept bugging them to call me. and after treating me like that, and wanting to become "my personal mechanic" they still wanted me to pay $30 for getting a loaner car for one day, i drove a max of 100 km. the only good thing about this place i found, was their sales people, they're alright. and when i went to pick my car up after a service, it was at the canadiantire parking lot. do they know what customer service is??? read more

This has to be the worst dealership in the tri city. Usually when you're investing so much money into a product/service you expect the sales associate to be honest to you. Everyone at the dealership is a scam. Unfortunately I wasn't aware of the bad reputation that carimex had but after purchasing a car from them I can confirm this dealership is full of crooks. When I was signing the papers for my car for security purposes I kindly asked their financial advisor to fix some of the safety concerns I had with the car, he promised me that they ENSURE SAFETY on all their vehicles. Surely that was a lie because after getting my car within one week I had problems with my steering belt (which caused me to be stranded on the side of the road), my battery was useless, the bearings were messed up, the tire pressure was off and the tranny pad was leaking transmission oil. When I called them back regarding these concerns they simply said "what do you expect from getting a used car" I expect it to be safe if I am investing so much money into it. I ended up spending $500 on top of buying it for $15,000, not only did I spend more than I anticipated (being a student and only working part time) I also went back 6 times, with one person passing me to the next. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. I will be telling everyone I know about this experience and would never wish the experience that I went through on my worst enemy. read more
