A thorough diagnostic process should begin by confirming the basics, especially when that information was provided upfront. Additionally, your diagnostic did not identify a faulty fuel injector as the cause of the issue. The person I spoke with on the phone specifically stated that checking the fuel injector would be the next step in the diagnostic process--not that it had already been confirmed as the problem. That directly contradicts what you stated in your response. You also stated that repair shops do not keep replaced parts to show customers. That has not been my experience. Every dealership and independent repair shop that has worked on my vehicles has either offered to show me the replaced parts or kept them available until I picked up the vehicle. It is a common practice for shops that value transparency with their customers. At this point, my concern is not just the repair itself but the inconsistent explanations and lack of accountability throughout this process. Rather than addressing the issues I raised, your response contains inaccuracies and does not reflect the level of professionalism I expect from a repair facility. I see that your name also appears more then it should on the bad reviews for this establishment. Enroute to Columbia, South Carolina for a basketball tournament weekend, and my oil light popped on…read morejust as I entered the city limits Friday evening. Unfortunately, I hadn't checked it before hitting the road, but no worries -- Columbia is a big enough city, so finding a Chevy dealership shouldn't be a problem. Luckily, I found Hendrick Chevrolet less than a mile from my hotel. I rolled in around 8:00-8:15 Saturday morning (May 16th) to see if they could squeeze me in for an oil change, and they had no problem accommodating me. I was able to drop my car off, head to the basketball tournaments, and come back later to pick it up with zero hassle. Mackie was my service advisor, and he was awesome -- friendly, personable, and made me feel like my car was in good hands. He kept me updated throughout the process and even recommended an engine filter replacement that I genuinely appreciated him pointing out. Overall, excellent customer service and a smooth experience from start to finish. I'd definitely recommend Hendrick Chevrolet whether you're local, passing through town, or just need a quick oil change while traveling. Solid 5 out of 5 stars!
