I always try to stop at the Kenly 95 truck stop when we are on a road trip. It's a fun place to look around and stretch your legs. I also love that there is a Caribou Coffee shop at this location. I've actually never been to a Caribou Coffee shop anywhere so this is my only experience with an actual brick and mortar shop. It used to be SO good. I always got great coffee from here and it was always a pleasure to visit. This time - not so much. I wanted to try the iced honey cold press coffee but I was informed they were out of honey. Bummer. So then instead I went with the iced oat vanilla shaken espresso. I was rung up but then told they did not have oat milk, so they offered me coconut milk instead, which as we all know, changes the consistency of the drink. When I was handed the drink it had one of those icee type tops on it and it was filled to the brim, so the coffee was spilling everywhere! Once I cleaned everything up and took a sip of it in the car, it was just not good. It was overly sweet, watery, and not creamy at all. I was so disappointed as it cost me $8.00. #49/2023 1992 Minnesota Edina to be exact Caribou coffee is founded They have a mission to want to be like a Starbucks maybe a little better. Many of them do have some standalone places like Starbucks and other coffee houses but a lot of them are also found inside shopping centers food courts malls etc They offer many different styles of coffee like any kind of a coffee specific sort of brewhouse Some say they're a little pricier but it seems like they're competitive with Starbucks only not as burnt tasting to me because I am not a fan of Starbucks This is a second one by the Iowa 80 group that they bought in franchise themselves the other one in the main Iowa 80 world's largest truck stop. I don't really do those fancy schmancy coffees at all the kids and the hipsters are into and all the flavored things I just like cream and Splenda LOL. So I came in and got just a regular house cup of coffee before I walked back out to the truck after dining at the food court and the service was good by the Iowa 80 employees and a whole lot more it was perfectly fine and I don't have any complaints. read more

My 2 iced coffees and 2 bacon egg and cheese bagels were $30 and it was inedible. This Caribou is in a truck stop so don't expect your normal Caribou experience. I wish I could get my money back both my husband and I are underwhelmed with the coffee and the sandwiches. Also don't get me started on the service lol the counter was gross crumbs everywhere sticky and she rolled her eyes when I asked her for straws. Just keep driving and save your $30 bucks! read more

I bought our breakfasts a few yards away at the Wendy''s, but we wanted to get Caribou coffee to go with it. They had to brew up my wife's decaf, which is normal for most coffee shops. The front line server offered to mark it so I would give myself the wrong one. As a small bonus, they had saccharine sweetener packets there (the pink packets), which most have stopped carrying and so we bring with us. read more

got the iced matcha vanilla latte and the spinach artichoke egg and provolone sandwhich for breakfast. the line moved slow, the latte tastes nasty and the sandwhich is literally just a packet they throw in the microwave. i just threw it away instead of eating it. just buy a frozen sandwhich yourself and microwave it and pick up a drink from the store. you think when you buy food from a restaurant or fast food its made fresh thats the whole point lol read more

I don't really know how this Caribou Coffee came into being, but I was very happy to find one in not-heavily-populated-part-of-North-Carolina-off-95. It's in the large travel plaza with the gas station and several other businesses. The space itself is small and tucked away, which makes it slightly tough to spot next to Subway. I appreciated that they still managed to make the booth feel like a wee coffeeshop with some armchairs and wood (or faux wood?) paneling. The service was really slow when I went because there was one person working between the Caribou booth and the Subway. She hopped over after finishing up some sandwiches and I was quickly on my way with an iced almond milk latte to give my drive some excitement. Caribou Coffee is a tougher brand to find these days depending on where I am. Apparently they were bought by Peet's and many stores were converted, but thankfully this one is still a Caribou. read more

Great little Caribou Coffee shop. Like real Caribou Coffee shops, they use chocolate chips instead of chocolate syrup. You cN also choose between White, milk, and dark chocolate. So much better than Starbucks. read more
