What concerned me most was watching the actual employees in uniforms try to prepare orders while the children insisted on making the food themselves and taking orders away from them. The children also did not always wear gloves while handling food. This raised concerns for me about food safety and hygiene. I understand helping out, but having young children running around, causing a commotion, taking customer orders, and handling food without consistently wearing gloves is not the experience I expect when visiting a restaurant. It's disappointing because I genuinely love Bahia Bowls and have been a returning customer for months. However, the environment during this visit was unprofessional and uncomfortable. No joke, this literally made me "food moan"...sheesh. After I drink my sample and visited the other many booths for the day, I circled back to this one to get a full-size passionfruit smoothie.
