The menu was short, and I have to admit, I was a little surprised by the price given the quantity, but I ended up going for half pork and half potato. Because I was stunned by the price, I didn't go for the toppings, which were an extra dollar, but I think that would have been wise. The pieorgis I got were okay, but they seemed a little bland and super greasy. They went very well with my beer, but I am not sure I would rush to have these pierogi again very soon.

She was getting ready to close up but was willing to cook some up for us (bonus points!). We tried the potato & cheese pierogi and the pork pierogi ... both with bacon and onion on top. We had a some sticker shock at the price (the price board was already packed up) but we already ordered and didn't want to change our minds after she offered to cook while closing up. It was worth it! Lots of bacon and onions draped over these ethnic pillows of yum! We will be back to try more flavors of pierogi as well as other dishes they offer!

It seems they have a food truck too, but I believe it was not operational during the winter. I tried a few options from here, all vegan, 3 different mini burgers for $10 (I don't see this option on their menu any more), sweet potato fries and onion rings. Everything tasted delicious. The eatery is more of a parking garage and it felt really cold during the winter. They have a bar and it's a self service place. There was only one employee taking the orders. Overall, we had a long wait time before we got our food. I will be back to enjoy the food as the weather is getting warm. I highly recommend this place to vegetarians and vegans.

My husband ordered a cosmo from the bar, I just got a bottle of water. It was pretty expensive and the wait time was LONG. We were the only ones there when we arrived. The drink took at least 15 minutes to come out and was literally the smallest drink I've ever seen. The food took even longer, 20-25 minutes after ordering until it came out. We asked for ketchup, but they never brought it back out to us. There are no condiments or napkins available for self service. One bite of the empanadas and we were met with a strong rancid taste. Same with the onion rings. Completely inedible. I'm not sure if the food was bad or the oil had gone rancid but it was unacceptable. Sliders were ok. The hangover slider was disgusting with an egg patty on it that was easily 3-4 times as thick as the burger itself. Like an omelet. Usually when there's an egg on a burger it's a nice sunny side up fresh egg. This was gross, and it was brown. We took that off. The burger still had a funny flavor so we skipped eating the rest of it. The general tso's slider was good but other than that I had an overwhelming feeling like I was going to get sick from this food. We left the food mostly uneaten and left to go somewhere else. I would definitely not go back!

Terrible TERRIBLE experience at this food truck. Even 1 star is too much!…read more So tonight I was at the Hamden Food Truck Festival with my friends Kari and Laura. Kari and I went to look for hot dogs. We finally found a food truck that wasn't sold out of hotdogs - Dad's Food Truck. So I ordered a hotdog, Kari sees that they have mac & cheese grilled cheese and asked what it was, they said cheddar cheese mac & cheese tomato and bacon on a grilled cheese. She said oh can I just have mac & cheese. So the girl replied back "okay so just cheddar cheese Mac & cheese grilled cheese. No tomato. No bacon". Our order came out & Kari noticed that there was bacon AND tomato in it. We specifically asked for it without because Kari is allergic. I kindly go back up to the window and say we need this without tomato, she can't have tomato. So I see the girl bring it to the guy in the back & say they want it without tomato - the guy proceeded to open it up with his bare hands and pick out the tomatoes and just fling them off to the side. WHILE IM WATCHING. The girl comes back and hands it to me - I look over to Kari and she goes "did he just pick that with his bare hands?" I was like yup! I turned to the girl and said can I just have my money back please.. she goes, "why?" I was like well he just picked through it with his bare hands, not to mention that even though he picked the tomatoes off, which we could have done ourselves, there would still be tomato juice left behind - so she looked back at him and said she wants her money back.. She then tried to tell me that I didn't say no tomato - oh yes honey I did because my friend can't have tomato. The guy in the back then starts screaming, while making a 'shoo' motion with his hand like I'm some rabid animal saying "just give her her money back!!! Get out of here!!! *shoo shoo motion* He gave me the nastiest glare. Beyond disgusted with the way these people treated a paying customer AND the fact that they are less than sanitary. I will never go to this food truck again and I urge you all to do the same.

The Tacos were three for twelve dollars which wasn't a bad price. I don't know what the fourth Taco was that was given to me but all the Tacos were delicious. My favorite Taco was the Mango Habanero Taco. The first bite was spicy but the flavor in the chicken was dynamite. The Steak Taco was nicely seasoned, moist, and tender. They were just all around delicious Tacos and the customer service is great.

Stopped here for lunch, we got 4 tacos and we could also not leave without trying their Crunchwrap. They have a wide variety of flavors of protein to choose from, each come with two dipping sauces. The tortillas were super crispy and have a brown cheesy coating on the outside, that's what makes it stand out from the rest. We also got the Mango Habanero Chicken Crunchwrap, outstanding as well. Service was quick and friendly, they are passionate about what they do. Hours are limited and they only have one table for outdoor dining, best bet is to take this to a park somewhere, that's what we did!! We will absolutely come here again, amazing food.

I heard so many amazing things about Heritage Spice so I absolutely had to check it out! Also I friend of mine recently catered from Heritage Spice and the food was delicious (I loved the jolllof. It had the perfect smoky party Jollof flavor). I'll start off by saying the menu items are pricey and the prices nearly turned me away...but the food was INCREDIBLE! I seldomly come across a Nigerian restaurant that fully hits the mark on flavors and keeps everything true to the culture. I tried the egusi soup with goat meat and fufu. The stew had a generous amount of goat meat and the egusi tasted very fresh. There was a good level of heat without it being overly spicy. The spices in the stew reminded me of my grandmas home cooking. Lastly, the fufu itself was soft and tasted very fresh as well. The egusi stew truly hit the spot and was the highlight of my work week. Overall 8.5/10 for the egusi and fufu (8/10 for the jollof I tried at a catered event and 10/10 for the puff puff I tried at a catered event). I also ordered the food on Grubhub so that most likely inflated the prices. I'm excited to try out other items on their menu! When I went to the restaurant I was hoping to also get the puff puff because I tried their puff puff at a catered event but I was told they only sell puff puff on Sundays or do pre orders for specialty items like puff puff or meat pie.
