The staff mentioned they don't have a CT scan, but said that was okay and still checked me in and charged me $100. I then waited for over two hours before being called back. When I finally saw the doctor, I was cut off mid-explanation and told that they don't test for concussions at all and that I would need to go to the ER instead. This should have been communicated before charging me and making me wait for hours. It felt like a complete waste of time and money, especially when dealing with a potential head injury. Very frustrating and unprofessional experience. I would not recommend coming here for anything concussion-related.

Dr. Perrine suggested that I have the impacted earwax removed from both ears. Paige, a medical specialist in earwax removal, did a superb job to accomplish this complicated and time-consuming task. Dr. Perrine also prescribed an antibiotic for me that he called in to my pharmacy on record. The prescription was ready for pick up when I arrived. The wait time was less than five minutes because I was there when they opened at 8 AM on a Tuesday. I was unable to get an appointment with my family doctor that week. Pansinusitis should not be left untreated for too long, so I did the right thing by going to Patient First for superior medical care from a friendly, caring and knowledgeable staff. I would give Patient First a 23+ out of 10 ... fabulous ... fantastic and a life saver when a family doctor cannot provide immediate care. The LPN at the desk was so pleasant and helpful, the nurse who took my vitals was very caring and the PA was fabulous! Turns out I had infection in both my eyes and infection in my ear. If I would have waited 5 days I can't image how miserable I would have been. Thank you Careworks Urgent Care for being there and providing this service. I would highly recommend Careworks Urgent Care. When you are sick you do not need the run around, you need caring compassionate healthcare!

Also, we learned that she has a fracture, but were told she most likely didn't and to be sure to walk on it some so it wouldn't get stiff. They open early and I went right in; Carmen at the check in desk was friendly and quick to register me. As it was first thing in the morning, it was a minimal wait to see a doctor. Dr Beth listened to my issue (a foot injury which has since healed), gave her opinion through an exam and gave me an x-ray referral. Her medical opinion ended up being correct and it thankfully wasn't an issue too long. All told I was here less than 30 min and mentally felt a lot better. It was simply a standard copay for an office visit and no other billing issues. If you're visiting Hershey and something happens to you or a family member, this is a great alternative to the ER.

He asked for a shot of Tordol which is what is neurologist recommends for these situations. They gave him a combo shot of Tordol, zofran for nausea and a steroid. They said that they wanted to stay in the exam room to make sure he did not have an allergic reaction. PA left and closed the door and no one checked on him for 45 minutes. If he did have an allergic reaction, no one would have known. He finally walked out into the hall and they were surprised to see him. If he had anaphylaxis, he could have died.

She accommodated my request for a nebulizer treatment and gave me a plan after I left. Overall, I am glad I collected the strength to get help. It was a good experience.
