Nonethess, I came across a very supportive, loving, listening, caring, empathetic, and kind intake coordinator at NewpoortAcademy. She was like a breath of fresh air. She has guided me through the whole process and genuinely cares about the patient. I just love this approach and is a great reflection on the organization. Thank you for caring enough to listen. Tech and Nursing needs more organizing. Some nurses know what is happening while others are stepping in, perhaps for the day, and are unsure what has been documented and not. Techs have good intentions, however communication and consistency is lacking. Odds are this is due to those who oversee the departments providing lack of funding. Overall a wonderful place to start recovery.

David is another man who runs this outpatient and is a very good man. He is often overuled leaving him in a position of powerlessness, which is bad for us as recovering clients because he is conducive to our recovery and isn't given the push or the green light to deal with us as he needs fit. I am very disappointed in Lakeside Milam the outpatient program because they did so much to change my life with their inpatient program. I do not make reviews but the fact I took time to write this review should say a lot. If they do read these reviews, they will know who this came from. In one instance, she was left waiting for four hours before anyone responded to her call light - and when she tried calling multiple times, a caretaker ripped the call button out of her hand and didn't respond her needs. Staff rarely checked on her, and the response time to her needs was inexcusable. This is absolutely not a safe place for anyone who requires round-the-clock care. We will be reporting this facility to the state - elder neglect is never okay.

Providence recently purchased Swedish Hospital so the doctors there are very connected and come here. We saw the 5-star ratings on Medicare site. Location is in West Seattle just south of the end of the bridge purched high up on the hill with a view of Downtown Seattle & Elliot Bay. They have a chapel with Catholic & Protestant services. The food is good. Nice park like setting. Large visitor parking lot, but can also park in the nearby residential neighborhood for free for extended stay. My mother & father both lived here together while she received rehabilitation in Neighborhood 5 (5th Floor South). The food was good & reasonable for non-patients. The staff was extremely friendly. My girlfriend is a RN and worked here and recommended we go here and we're extremely happy we did! The care was excellent and would recommend to anyone. Her recovery was so fast she only had to stay here a week!

If you're reading these reviews because you're in the same situation I was in--trying to decide…read morewhere to send your loved one and just trying to make sure they go to a safe place--this is why I'm leaving this review. I didn't know what to expect, but had I known, my decision would have been different. Don't leave your loved one here! ​They will work hard to get you to agree to have your family member transferred from the hospital to their facility. They will even tell you a story that they only have one bed left available, though according to the hospital social worker, that is untrue--they tell everyone that. Once your family member is there, they stop returning your messages. ​My family member lost over 20 lbs during their stay. They were fed three undercooked meals a day, usually the exact same thing every day. In the mornings, it was one piece of toast and a small amount of eggs. For lunch, it was an undercooked fish sandwich or undercooked potatoes, with no snacks in between and no beverages provided unless it was mealtime. ​Their medications were also handled incorrectly. They failed to give them their water pill, dementia medication, or blood pressure medication, all while reassuring me that they were receiving everything as prescribed. It wasn't until my family member was discharged that I realized they hadn't been getting all of their medications. ​On top of that, they kept them there up until the exact day Medicare and Medicaid would have stopped paying. Looking back, I realize they probably only needed three weeks at most. When you're navigating this on your own and forced to make a sudden, critical decision on short notice, it is incredibly overwhelming. I should have kept them closer to home. If there is ever a next time where a skilled nursing facility is needed, they will be going somewhere else. ​If you look up the official list of complaints against this facility, you will see that this is not an isolated incident--they have numerous formal complaints filed for these exact same issues. ​While the front desk staff and the female physical therapist were very nice, the nurse and a male staff member with a Southern accent were unfriendly and seemed completely uninterested in addressing my questions or concerns.

After researching many facilities, we chose Park Ridge based on its high ratings and preferable North Seattle location, closer to family who would be supporting her. It's not much on the outside -- wedged between an auto body shop and a taco truck, on a busy street corner -- but you shouldn't judge this book by its cover. The staff at Park Ridge are very attentive and caring, including doctors, social workers, nurses, therapists, etc. My mother is gluten-free and struggled for a week or so to get her diet right -- the food manager finally took over her meal preparations himself, so that he could personally guarantee that her meals were free of allergens. Therapists walked her across the street to QFC to buy snacks, and helped her get back on her feet. She recently checked out about a month ahead of schedule, and is doing great. No long-term care facility is a particularly happy place, or someplace you want to find yourself for an extended period of time. But if you have a loved one who needs care, you'll get a high quality of service at Park Ridge.

At times she even held & rocked him herself so that I could make the most of our sessions, & thoughtfully integrated him into our practice so that I could learn methods of strengthening that were practical to my everyday life. Karen encouraged me to work on building strength each day, but she was also understanding & supportive of my efforts on weeks when I struggled. I can not recommend Karen Leitz & Whidbey Performance Physical Therapy highly enough for their kindness & understanding as I did my best to manage my infant & toddler at their office each week. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience & I gained a lot of physical strength as well as a positive outlook on my continued recovery.
