David is another man who runs this outpatient and is a very good man. He is often overuled leaving him in a position of powerlessness, which is bad for us as recovering clients because he is conducive to our recovery and isn't given the push or the green light to deal with us as he needs fit. I am very disappointed in Lakeside Milam the outpatient program because they did so much to change my life with their inpatient program. I do not make reviews but the fact I took time to write this review should say a lot. If they do read these reviews, they will know who this came from. I wish you all the best by the grace of God I am doing my best. All is well and I hope all is well for you all ; as well.

I can't thank them enough for all the care, support, and kindness they offered me while I was there. I highly recommend them if you or someone you know is looking for solutions to a problem they can not solve on their own. We don't have to do this alone! There is help out there, and Lakeside-Milam is hands down the best place to find it. From the bottom of my heart (and my family too), THANK YOU!

But the room my friend is in is small, and the window offers no nature view. The only storage facility (for clothes or whatever) is one crude simple wooden closet. It really is horrible in the latter context for handling complete changes of clothing, and my friend with dementia doeosn't do well in organizing anyway. Needs some chests of drawers; cheap would be fine, just needs a decent way to put clothes - and other things - away. I've thought of a service project of building a stack of shelves in the side of each closet. Something. If I stayed in that place, I would soon feel very disorganized in mind and in fact. Be it known that they are on contract with DSHS, and quite influential in that respect. DSHS prescribes that my friend's resources are to be paid down to limit by paying Arcadia; although there are other charitable options and he is going to a new adult family home who have themselves gone to a huge expense to establish. A final note is I don't know if there were other options to be found when VA needed to discharge my friend from hospital to rehab, and am glad Arcadia is there. They have a nice dining room, nice activity room (board games and TV), good helpful social workers, nursing staff, some sort of medical care, meds administration, and provide for meal for patients who've been out during meal time. Helpful staff. They do allow a visitor to access. My comment on room space, on provided better way to organize small amount of clothing and small amount of belongings stands. Oh, and rooms really need a calendar (place for it for longer term patients) and a clock on the wall; ideally, a digital clock with day/day of week is always helpful for resident orientation. (What's the first cognizance check?"Do you know what day this is, what day of week?" )

After researching many facilities, we chose Park Ridge based on its high ratings and preferable North Seattle location, closer to family who would be supporting her. It's not much on the outside -- wedged between an auto body shop and a taco truck, on a busy street corner -- but you shouldn't judge this book by its cover. The staff at Park Ridge are very attentive and caring, including doctors, social workers, nurses, therapists, etc. My mother is gluten-free and struggled for a week or so to get her diet right -- the food manager finally took over her meal preparations himself, so that he could personally guarantee that her meals were free of allergens. Therapists walked her across the street to QFC to buy snacks, and helped her get back on her feet. She recently checked out about a month ahead of schedule, and is doing great. No long-term care facility is a particularly happy place, or someplace you want to find yourself for an extended period of time. But if you have a loved one who needs care, you'll get a high quality of service at Park Ridge.

Your dedication, expertise, and science - based approach have made a huge difference in my recovery from total knee replacement. The pre - surgical preparatory therapy plan you developed for me to improve my leg strength, has really made a difference in not only promoting healing speed, but the success of the whole outcome. Isaac, your sincere personalized approach and encouragement have been instrumental in motivating me to closely adhere to the requirements of the therapy and has been a critical factor in assuring success. This is particularly significant, especially given my challenging history with physical exertion, in general. I am incredibly grateful for all your efforts and the positive impact you have had on my life as well as the privilege of observing the difference you are making for so many other clients. Wishing you all the best in your continued work. Gene Kahn

Her office kindly allowed me to bring my two children with me, & she graciously allowed (& even encouraged) me to nurse & soothe my baby as needed. At times she even held & rocked him herself so that I could make the most of our sessions, & thoughtfully integrated him into our practice so that I could learn methods of strengthening that were practical to my everyday life. Karen encouraged me to work on building strength each day, but she was also understanding & supportive of my efforts on weeks when I struggled. I can not recommend Karen Leitz & Whidbey Performance Physical Therapy highly enough for their kindness & understanding as I did my best to manage my infant & toddler at their office each week. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience & I gained a lot of physical strength as well as a positive outlook on my continued recovery.
