My kids and I have been part of Elysian since 2009. The staff, the scratch-made meal program, the…read morenew facility, and the Seven Habits program teaching life-long lessons makes it a positive and encouraging atmosphere. Parents are welcome to be involved and teachers are given the resources they need to educate. The middle school program is improving every year as more and more kids enter those grades. Homework is minimal allowing my children to have time to play and be kids after school. Conferences and open houses have well orchestrated and therefore highly effective. Elsyian's sports program continues to grow under a competent athletic director. The school is always super clean and my kids LOVE eating breakfast and lunch at school. Being new to Montana, my only negative comment about my fifth and six graders' education is the curriculum is far behind where we were in Louisiana. The school does their best to accommodate faster learners by pairing them up with upper grade teachers in the subjects they excel in.

And I feel sorry for anyone who wastes their money here. It doesn't even deserve one star. Save your money and if you're thinking about having your child attend, just don't. You will regret it but luckily, I won't be around to say, "I told you so." Plus you would be buying uniforms on top of regular clothes. Yep, uniforms are required all the time. Not worth it at all. If I could go back in time, I would never attend. I do not understand how or why people consider this to be a higher degree of education, compared to public schools. It just simply is not. I attended a public school halfway through 8th grade. I liked it so much better. I already knew private Catholic Schools were a mistake. I'd rather have gone to a public school, where I could have had just as great of an education, if not a better one.

I am currently attending Rocky Mountain College. Overall, the staff, faculty, teachers, and…read morefacilities are all really good. However, for all the good this school offers, I have major complaints: First, the dorms and the dorm staff are horrible. If there an crime committed in the dorms, the staff will not own up to the issue and investigate to find out who did it. Rather, they will post a note on your door, sit back, and expect people to turn them selves in. Additionally, the staff will hold random "mandatory" meetings and have rules like you are supposed to go through the main entrance after 10 PM, but you will see the Residence Director (RD) go through the side doors all the time after 10 PM. They are hypocrites, and don't seem to have a clue as to what they are doing. Second, the staff and administration won't be adult and take responsibility for what they are clearly responsible for. Unless you are loaded with cash and can pay for everything that the school won't own up to, don't come to this school. Case and point, if the trash truck comes into the parking lot and a glass bottle comes out of the truck and hits your windshield and breaks your windshield, the school will not take responsibility for whom they hire and bring into their parking lot. How much more immature can you get?

This school district is a joke when it comes to academics and the teachers at the middle school…read more Our child is being picked on by certain teachers and is not getting any of the help promised and is now failing one of his best subjects. Instead of working with parents to make sure the children are getting all the help they need and deserve, they tell the parents what "they" think is best and the children continue to fail. The communication, or lack there of, is so bad that I had to call the superintendent just to get something done. I finally had to pull him out and put him in a private school in order to save his education. These people care more about their paycheck than they do about the kids. The school we just enrolled our son into has a lot of kids from Laurel for the exact same reason, not to mention the school failed academically 2 years in a row. I am highly disappointed and will never send any of my children to any school in this district again. Shame on them!

Great little spot for toddlers to go crazy! I say toddlers…read morebecause any older ones I don't think would dig this place. It's basically one giant room with a bunch of toys to play with. There's a great coffee bar for moms which I really enjoyed. Unlike another kid place in town, parents are not charged for admission, which is the way it should be. But it's $7 each. The cool thing is that you could come in the morning and have free reentry on the same day. My little 1.5 year old liked the Thomas train, the cars to get in and go around, the shopping carts and the stuff to climb on. We met up with a friend and they had a great time. It looked like a bomb went off! No effort had been made to straighten the play areas and it was so bad the boys couldn't even find anything in one piece to play with. The snack tables were dirty...so, no I don't want any of your snacks. Makes one wonder if anything is ever cleaned (toys, costumes, bathrooms). There was one mom and child and the lady who checked us in and her child so the mess had been there a while. Can't say I enjoyed taking my grands there!

Right now there is a student there named Tiffany, I would suggest her if you are looking for a hair cut/color/style. I have very curly hair which is hard for a lot of beauticians to handle, but Tiffany does a very good job of getting the cut just how I want it. She has colored my hair before too, and she takes her time to make sure it is done right. For how inexpensive the services are here, it is very nice to find someone who knows what she is doing! I wouldn't normally recommend this place (unless you need something quick and cheap) but Tiffany does a very good job!
