This school district is a joke when it comes to academics and the teachers at the middle school. Our child is being picked on by certain teachers and is not getting any of the help promised and is now failing one of his best subjects. Instead of working with parents to make sure the children are getting all the help they need and deserve, they tell the parents what "they" think is best and the children continue to fail. The communication, or lack there of, is so bad that I had to call the superintendent just to get something done. I finally had to pull him out and put him in a private school in order to save his education. These people care more about their paycheck than they do about the kids. The school we just enrolled our son into has a lot of kids from Laurel for the exact same reason, not to mention the school failed academically 2 years in a row. I am highly disappointed and will never send any of my children to any school in this district again. Shame on them! read more
