I would go elsewhere no matter what your health concern is. I was new to the area and didn't do my research on urgent care / health care facilities around me. The bed side manner of the doctor was simply non existent both times I had to go in because my first round antibiotics did not treat said infection. It was basically stated the infection (UTI) was my fault even though I had never had one nor a history of them previously. I tried to ask questions such as how can I prevent this in the future, what was this caused by as I had no knowledge about it. I was told very bluntly it's because I am a sexually active young woman not doing my due diligence after sexual activity, mind you I had told the doctor that couldn't be the case as I had not engaged in any sort of sexual activity in the past two months as I was moving nearly half way across the country and was insanely busy..... He did not seem to care. The second time I was in and out within less than five minutes and he didn't care to ask any follow up questions, just simply assumed it had to be a UTI even though lab work had not been processed yet. Blood work should have also been ordered / done there but wasn't even offered. When I called the office back in less than 24 hours they said if I came back it would be treated and charged as a new visit regardless of the circumstances.... Then a month later they randomly attempted to charge my credit card at 4:53 AM, even though the office doesn't open till 8 AM and I haven't been in.... I had to dispute this random absurd charge today.... Anyways I would never recommend anyone attend this urgent care due to negligence, bad bed side manners, and random credit card charges. read more

Our Tricare for Life wasn't accepted. We had to pay out of pocket. Don't understand why all other insurance is accepted and not Tricare for Life. The majority of military veterans have Tricare for life. Very cool reception from the nurse wasn't expected. read more

We arrived for a simple physical for volleyball at 3:17 on a Sunday with 1 person in line ahead of us. It took the Dr over two hours to see my daughter. But while we were waiting, at 4:30 someone from the staff announces to the team 30 minutes! (they close at 5p) The office is dirty. There was trash on the tables. They clearly have a pest problem with several crickets in the waiting room, spider's in the exam room. read more

Presented with constant sneezing, congestion, very watery eyes and a 3 day migraine. Huge stack of snotty tissues on the exam table. Also mentioned he'd had some stomach pain and diarrhea. Dr Olga came in and introduced herself, said Covid test was negative and that it was a "stomach bug." No suggestions on things we could do to help him feel better. No questions. Definitely no exam. Didn't address the significant symptoms. Nothing else was said before she left the room! I thought I was being punked. So we just left after paying a $50 copay with no meds, no medical guidance whatsoever, nothing. What a waste! read more

They chose to ignore what I said and send me on my way without testing for the flu (covid and strep came back negative) I want a refund NOW or a free visit with a different doctor. I received a message and called and email from my VA Doctor. Go to the urgent care immediately. But first, I was to call the VA Community Network Pharmacy and Urgent Care support for authorization. It was authorized and I was directed to go Care Now at 720 S. Main Keller, TX 76248 (813) 431-2800. I went there and gave them all the information needed to check in under their posted COVID protocol. (wearing a surgical mask and I have plenty of them) They took all information for check-in, and I gave them the information to confirm the authorization and my valid VA ID card. They old me there would be an 8 hours wait and and go home and they would call me in. I waited 7.5 hours and no call back yet, but it was close to 8 hours and so I went back to the facility and they were closed. WTH! I never got a call back. They drop the ball, and Veterans need better service that this. I called them and they provided the spew if it's an emergency call 911. You cannot leave a message. If it was an emergency I would go there in the first place. I called back VA Community Network immediately and reported this to them as an after action report and I also spoke with the VA and told them what happen the next morning. I would expect a call from this facility in the morning, and no they did not call or even offer an apology that they forgot. (So that ship sailed for their excuse) I will never go there again and I will not recommend this facility. I surely hope the other Care Now faculties do not operate in a manner like this. read more

Went here for a Toradol injection. Last resort when my migraine won't go away after a few days. Idk the doctor knew it would not be enough I guess and prescribed something extra. Usually the injection will knock it out but not this time. Very grateful for the prescription and doctor knowing what I needed. I'm sorry I can't remember his name. I usually don't post reviews, but I have been treated many places and this is one experience I think of often. I understand that resources are limited in a facility like this, but the quality or care was so poor. I had severe pain that caused vomiting on the floor. My mother checked me in because we didn't think the ER was appropriate (neither of us have ever been). Looking back I should have sought emergency care, but I am severely afraid of being dramatic. We had waited for the appointment at home as instructed, so I'm not sure why I had to cry in an empty waiting room for an hour before being seen. I could've easily done it at home. The nurse that finally took me to a room was very kind and sympathetic, I wish I remember her name. She asked questions, listened actively, and said 'that sounds terrible, I'm so sorry'. That is what a patient wants to hear. She was lovely. The doctor was an older gentleman and he was the complete opposite. When my mother explained that I had chronic health issues that were undiagnosed, he seemed completely put off by it. He didn't ask any questions about my pain, what had happened, or why I was there. He told me he couldn't do anything for me. He said there's nothing wrong with me. I'd say, as a rule of thumb, if a grown person is sobbing uncontrollably in pain there is something wrong. He told me I just need to see my own doctor, which is accurate, and all he could do was give me a little pain medication. Ultimately, that is what I needed, however the bedside manner was so incredibly dismissive and apathetic I cried even harder when he left the room. It was both incredibly frustrating and embarrassing to be treated that way. Luckily, my mother was witness to it and finally understands why I was so unwilling to see doctors despite my health struggles. Being told 'there's nothing wrong with you' by a stranger (you're meant to trust with your well-being) after being poked for a few minutes is SO much different than saying 'I can't see what the cause is, but you're obviously in a lot of pain. We'll do XYZ and then you should make an appointment with your family doctor'. I felt like a nuisance instead of a patient. I think he could use the basic empathy training I had for my client service job lol. On top of this $300 Tylenol trip, he sent my prescription to a closed pharmacy instead of the one we specifically SEARCHED FOR AND DISCUSSED. Maybe he forgot about us in the fifteen minutes that we sat waiting for him to come back. Getting to the pharmacy and realizing he sent it elsewhere was really the icing on the cake. My mother cursed him out on the drive home. I suffered through the whole night. I can't put my health issues on him. He probably wouldn't have been able to find anything, even if he HAD made an effort. I do have a diagnosis now and it is very serious. I have an extremely rare disease (like 30 new cases in the US a year) that can only be treated with stem cell transplants and chemo. The lymph nodes he 'couldn't feel' are possibly malignant according to my recent scans, and I have to go for additional testing to confirm that. Again, not something he would have the knowledge or tools to diagnose, but the whole experience was horrible. It genuinely felt like he just didn't want to deal with me, or he believed that I was making up the pain that is quite literally killing me. I understand he's done this a long time and probably sees difficult people all day, but his job is to provide urgent non-emergency care AND to demonstrate empathy. That is something the healthcare field is severely lacking in. It could honestly deter someone from seeking the help they need. I have put off pursuing treatment because so many professionals have made me feel crazy. The first doctor to give me the time of day is the one that has saved my life. COVID TEST SCAM!!! My wife went for a COVID test. Be aware, they will give you the test but you will have you see a doctor after. The test is covered by insurance but the 2 minute conversation with the doctor to tell you that you are negative/positive will cost almost $200 and (at least in our case) is not covered by insurance. My daughter went for a COVID test at Better Faster Urgent Care in Southlake. She made an appointment, showed up, was tested outside the building in 1 minute and we left - all covered by insurance. Horrible first time experience, didn't even go in. Sad, as we are new residents to Roanoke and this is how their employees treat people. Long story short, I am 28 years old and have my first cardiologist appointment in about 3 weeks. Nothing serious, just sometimes I can really feel my heart beat when going to sleep. So I went on their website and say they offered a General Physical, Chest X-Ray and EKG. I call up there about these services and the nurse comes on the phone with a rude attitude essentially trying to talk me out of getting these services stating "well if you get them done, we are going to have to admit you to the ER". Me, who is already stressed out, now has a Nurse trying to convince me not to come in and get help, while simultaneously telling me that I need to go to the ER. She was the nurse on June 19th, at 8:15 AM - hopefully they have these calls recorded. Never in my life have I had a healthcare professional try and persuade me out of getting some general tests and preventative care done. Maybe I am crazy, but I don't think any of those services require a ton of work or time. Unsure though. Will never go back. Everyone is commenting on COVID protocols, but let me tell you how awful their system is.. you have to make an appointment online-- but to your surprise it's not a real appointment! They call you 15 minutes before they want to see you (in my case called at 7:28am and asked me to be here at 7:45am when the doors open.) OH mind you, they call you on a blocked caller line so you have no idea who it is. Anywho, fine.. no worries. When you get here, you fill out all your information online on your phone, then you wait for 25 minutes for them to give you a room..... after you get to your room you answer basic questions and get your vitals taken.... then you wait another 25 minutes to be seen by a doctor...... So after being here for over an hour I'm getting seen by a doctor for a double ear infection she did NOTHING but tell me I need to go to the emergency room. After my copay of $180 before leaving they still billed me $448. FOR NOTHING. for a damn visit saying "your ear is really bad, you should go to an emergency room." I don't recommend this place on my worst enemy. They are absolutely useless. I'm even more mad I got sent to the ER in Denton (they're connected) and the Er said there's nothing we can do for you besides giving you medicine WHICH URGENT CARE COULDVE DONE. so I got billed $2090 at the ER and $448 at Urgent care. I thought a quick stop at Carenow for an inhaler would be easy on a holiday weekend (September 2019). Boy, that has been the worst decision of my life. They incorrectly coded the claim when they submitted it to my insurance company (UHC), so it was denied. They started billing me in February 2020, I looped in my insurance company who assured me it would be resolved. Carenow billed me monthly, I called UHC monthly, who called Carenow monthly. Now, Carenow has submitted my case to a collection agency because of their own office incompetence. Avoid. read more

I had to utilize their services to complete a pre-employment drug screening. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door stating no entry unless you have a mask so I had to go home and get a mask to enter, just to find out at the front desk I could have gotten a mask right there. I was not given any instructions pregame that they required masks and wasted gas and time. I waited in the waiting room for 45 minutes just to be called back and logged into the system 1 minute too late and cost me a $21 an hour job. I cannot apply for that position for a year now. 21 days to get my negative Covid results thought they had the results on day 19.... what's funny is my sis the doctor called say 19 and they said they didn't have the results yet. My wife and sister and I started calling every 3 or 4 days (after the 2 week period) only to get a different answer every time. DAY 21 Test results? Nope, call Labcorp Labor's never heard of me Oh, then call Quest Quest had me on robo calls and hold of 25min... Oh then you should talk to the manager, but they're not here, CLICK! I was hung up on so I kept calling back, they called the cops to say I was cursing and yelling. I simply said they should listen to the recorded phone calls to see how they lie. This facility is absolutely terrible. I understand longer wait times during the pandemic, but they NEVER called or emailed my test results, even during the 3 days they had the results!!!! Very frustrating when you job and family keep asking for results/status and it's impossible to get either!!! Side note: If they say there's no way to talk to a manager, just politely call over and over and you will talk to the manager in 20min!!! BIANCA was completely rude and did not care to address My needs in the phone. I came in at 8am and honestly there was nobody there and told me it was a 45min - 1 hour wait. That was confusing considering there are not appointment based. Then the doctor prescribed me medication that has a national shortage and is in back order for 2 months and I cannot get. Keep in mind it's now 11am. I then called and Bianca said she would put a note in my file for the doctor to see and will give us a call. Okay, that's fine. 2:30 rolls around and no call so I call again, Bianca was like yeah, she hasn't seen it yet. Okay, that's fine, 445 rolls around before closing I call again. Bianca says let me get a nurse to better help you - I was on hold for 12 minutes. I call back again and it just rings. Wow. This was my second visit with you guys and I just spent $500+. Y'all are quick to take my money but actually give quality care that you claim to preach. Unbelievable. Was turned away at 10:40 AFTER waiting for someone to pick up the phone for 15 minutes. Just to be told that they open the next day at 8 am after asking if I could be seen today. She finally picked up the phone after 15 minutes just to tell me "it's up to me" as to whether or not to come in... and when I asked if that meant yes or no as to whether or not I'd be seen, she said they open the next day at 8 am... extremely unprofessional. Why have a phone if you're not going to answer it? You stay open until 8 pm, right? If you stop answering phone calls and turn patients away at 7:30, maybe you should change your hours to 7:30? intial covid test experience was fine-however the test came back rejected -I contacted care now for retesting and basically was told you will have to wait until they contact us about retesting otherwise we will get charged again! My 22 year old son started having chest pain while having dinner with a friend in Roanoke. He was near by this Care Now location so he had an Uber take him there. They did an EKG and the "Doctor" said one of the levels was elevated and it may be a heart issue. His suggestion "Call an ambulance to take him to the nearest hospital asap". We declined and after much consideration drove him to a hospital ourselves. 4 hours and $7,000 later, we were told that "doctor" misdiagnosed the EKG. Thanks for that! First of all if I could give 0 stars I would. I have already had terrible experiences with Care Now in the past and it seems that I just don't learn to stay away from this place thinking it will het better. Unfortunately my spouse had serious symptoms for Shingles and because it was Saturday our PCP was not available so we went to this place. After waiting literally 1 hour 30 mins sitting in the examination room, the doctor came in and told us that indeed it was Shingles. A prescription for the Shingles was given but nothing for the pain which was really bad. Obviously my spouse can't be going to work immediately so on Tuesday morning I called this place asking for a Doctors note and when I went to retrieve they handed me a piece of paper with such vague information, not even signed by the doctor, that looked like fake document. The worst part is that is was saying to excuse my spouse from work for Saturday and Sunday! Huh!? My spouse work Saturday or Sunday. They expected my spouse to be fully recovered in 48 hours from this sickness called Shingles! Any person with a fifth grade education knows when you have a strong case of painful Shingles it is not going to go away in 48 hours! Not sure what the criteria is for Doctors to work here but please stay away from here. Bottom line I had to go to a real Doctor afterwards where I was correctly treated and got the correct doctors note with permission to be off work for 1-2 weeks based on how my spouse progresses. read more

So, my wife had fallen and severely sprained her ankle at our apartment walking our Great Dane. I brought her in to CareNow-Roanoke. When I got to CareNow we were brought into Room 1 pretty much right away to finish paperwork and the initial consultation. Fast forward about 25 minutes, and one of the assistants walked in and told us they were going to play Musical Rooms. Fine. Except here's why they get a 2 star..... They made my wife, with a severely sprained ankle WALK, yes WALK, all the way across the building to exam room 5. 2 things... 1.) common courtesy would say get the woman a wheelchair or at the very least crutches, and 2.) I should've said something but I didn't, that part is on me. Waking excessively on a bad ankle is a great way to cause even more injury than what is already there. My wife complained it was now throbbing, which it wasn't before the walk. Good job CareNow. At the end of the x-rays we left with nothing more than a wrapped ankle, prescription for medication, and crutches. Won't be going back here again. read more

Me and my two children needed Covid testing, after finding out we were exposed on 6/17/2020. So I was pretty frantic and overwhelmed when trying to figure out this process. The staff at Care Now in Roanoke, Texas were absolutely fantastic and attentive. They made this nervous momma so comfortable and put me at such ease. I had been having a pretty rotten day but they made me feel so much better I will always be super grateful to them. It's so nice to see such great friendly people after all the negativity going on in the world. The sweet woman up front was such a sweetheart as well and made the checkout very comfortable. The Doctor who came in and guided us through the resting and what to expect was even more phenomenal, very sweet man! Denied Health Care in the United States I experienced what I suspect to be a bad case of acid reflux in the early hours of Sunday, 10/25. I decided to seek urgent care instead of going to the hospital for two reasons: Proximity to my house and to increase my chances of getting to meet a doctor to diagnose my symptoms, and Reduce the complexities of visiting an ER especially given the current uptick in Covid-19 cases I arrived at the CareNow Office at 1530 N. US-377 Roanoke, TX 76262 and checked in - completed paper work and also signed up electronically. During the checking I was asked to provide my insurance card and ID. I obliged and got through the process. At the time of my arrival, there was only one patient present at the lobby. Four patients arrived in quick succession after me and ALL of them were quickly ushered into the office - body temperature and blood pressure checked and entered into the computer and marched to the inner waiting room. I quickly approached the employee (Angelica) at the front desk to find out why EVERYONE who arrived after me received immediate attention and were processed by the nurse on duty to meet the doctor. Angelica replied, "Sir, they all signed up online." Since I was unaware of that protocol, I courteously asked when I would be processed to see the Doctor. "45 minutes!", Angelica replied. Thankfully, my pain was not as severe as it was in the early hours of the morning, so I decided to just wait it out. After nearly an hour wait, I finally made it in. My vitals (temperature and blood pressure) were taken by the nurse and I was ushered into consulting Room 2. Another bout of waiting began. Well, 15 minutes isn't bad, I said to myself. Then 30mins rolled along. 45mins later, I had still not been attended to. After nearly an hour, I stepped out to check what was going on. Incredibly, there was no one at the front desk, lobby lights were dimmed, and absolutely no activity in the building. After shouting out a few "Hellos," Angelica emerged from the back office. I asked her what's going on. Then she said, "my concern is that I am not sure if you can foot the bill (cash) since your insurance is not going to cover." My jaws literally dropped!! I expressed my disappointment and walked out the door. I was literally denied healthcare based on Angelica's assumption of my inability to foot the bill. I reached out to my insurance just to clarify my coverage. They were shocked at my story. A few corrections for Angelica and CareNow (1530 N. US-377 Roanoke, TX 76262): My insurance company informed me that not only am I covered, your CareNow location is actually in the network where I could receive diagnosis and treatment. It's such a shame this happened in 2020. My insurance is following up on this with CareNow and I am doing my part to inform and educate, so this unfortunate incident doesn't repeat itself. Thank goodness my sickness wasn't life threatening. read more

This is for the new facility in Roanoke, TX. Rather than wait on a call back for an appointment from the doctor's office I normally go to I decided to just go to CareNow in Roanoke. There is no mask mandate in Texas and vaccines are readily available and yet there was a sign on the door with the curt statement "No mask, no entry". When I came in there were very few people in the waiting room. The lady that greeted me just said how can I help you. Maybe this is standard but I would rather not divulge, for all to hear, why I am there. I guess I could have just said I am here to see a doctor, but shouldnt that have been obvious? Anyway, it was just an allergic reaction, but that is beside the point. She then very matter-of-factly said it would be an hour and a half wait. This was the closest facility to my home which is over 20 minutes away. Keep in mind this was in the middle of a work day during the week. I decided to go forward with checking in anyway. The lady had a computer in front of her but rather than her entering my information she wanted me to scan a QR code with my phone. I never use those so honestly wasnt exactly sure if I used my camera or some other app. She couldnt really tell me. Of course I know now, but I was wondering why she couldnt just take my info and enter it. I guess pretty soon we will just use our phone to diagnose ourselves and write prescriptions too. In the middle of talking to her the phone rang and, without saying anything to me, she took the call. Finally, I said never mind and left. I ended up going to my normal doctor's office and was able to get right in. By the way, they took all my info and entered it into the computer. So not a good experience at this CareNow facility. read more
