The report issued for my home was "less than" to say the least. Over the last 10 months since…read moremoving in, the lack of thoroughness and completeness of my home inspection from Ernst Home Inspections, LLC has cost my family more than $45,000. The roof needed to be replaced immediately and was actively leaking. My report said the roof 'should be good' for another 5 to 8 years. The basement leaks from simple ground water, and has foundation cracks throughout. Additionally, there are so many building and safety code violations we've needed to correct simply for the health and safety of our family. Some of these code violations include: plumbing from the basement is incorrect, there is no egress/escape system at all in the "finished basement", entire house electric is basically just wrong and there are at least 20 power outlets on a single circuit. The breaker trips after plugging almost anything into more than 4 outlets at a time; not to mention a refrigerator is meant to have its own circuit but instead is looped in with at least 6 power outlets. Furthermore, the inspection report itself is vague and has caused more headache, such as the fact that there is are two exhaust fans into the attic, but only one was fixed because the report does not specify which exhaust fan needed to be corrected. These issues do not cover all the issues my family has encountered and had to deal with over the last 10 months. Lastly, when I attempted to contact this company about what we've been through, little to no response was received and we were then stuck fighting for all this on our own. Be cautious when considering using Ernst Home Inspections, LLC for your requirements.

The seller Clay was related to the realtor companies Jamie which we later found out they were relatives . 6 months into our home and we've ran in a multiple amount of problems. First day after signing the basement flooded because of the sump pump which was "new" . They "replaced it " but it flooded due to the pit not being installed correctly . Afterwards we attempted to contact the warranty company and it was told we're unable to use our warranty (HMS HOME WARRANTY)due to it being a pre existing problem for the "new heat pump " we had the hvac company who installed the system come and check it out he stated that he explained to the seller the system wouldn't work well but was told to do the work as the equipment (which wasn't new) couldn't be returned. We had to use space heaters for the winter. We were told a " new roof " was installed but we still have leaks in the house during cold weather as no ice shield was installed. The front porch was put on BACKWARDS and recently while upgrading the house we can see daylight from the basement. How was this over looked ? Beats me ! The sealer boarder was cut out and wasn't replaced; leaving a big hole into the basement . You can only imagine the chipmunk nest and other rodents . Elite termite pest control we also attempted to contact Them multiple times no answer. Sent paper to the address it came back . We drove to the address it was a house a place of residence.
