A very interesting store. I love the fact that they are trying to sell green products and support local and Canadian businesses. I didn't buy anything the first time and mostly I went there to explore and see what it's really about. I know I will definitely go back there for personal care products and little things I can get as gift for friends. Their cleaning products were awesome and I thing that would be on my shopping list the next time! I believe we should always support these local businesses and that's what I will do. :) read more

If you make a complaint about their business protocols or products be prepared to have allegations thrown at you, blocked on Facebook, and then being told sarcastically to "have a nice day". Enquired about doing a return and was told we weren't allowed due to AHS's guidelines. AHS told me they had no such guidelines and that Carbon had made it up. They're trying to keep every penny just in case they go under during COVID. We try our best to support local businesses but not when they act like this. read more

Let me start by saying I love supporting local shops, and one of the benefits of shopping local is you usually get great service. Unfortunately, I have found the service at Carbon to be pretty lack lustre. And I'm basing this on multiple visits, not just one. There has always only been one employee when I've visited, and I've never actually been able to ask any questions. Most recently I went in to look at the pillows, and I was the only customer in the store. I was checking out the pillows, giving the good old touch and feel. The employee never paid me any attention, so of course right when I was going to ask her a question, a regular customer walks in and instantly gets all the service to refill her soap. Each experience at this store has been similar. Unfortunate, really. read more

I thought perhaps the last time I visited this store the lady working was having a bad day so I decided to give it another shot. Again - I was not greeted and I was never asked if I needed help finding anything. I found an item I wanted to purchase, set it down on the counter and waited for almost a minute before she acknowledged me while she was fiddling with the till. Still no "hello" "did you find everything you were looking for" blah blah nada. She rang through my item, told me the total and that was it. Carbon is very unique and a trend setter. They carry some amazing products but what I really love is the home design section. As a Realtor the growth in building a home or designing with recycled materials or safe paints is going to be huge! They offer a great selection of countertops, flooring and paint all "green" and they look amazing. I am also a huge fan of all shaving creams and shampoo's they carry that you can trust. read more

Luckily one only comes across businesses with such poor ethical qualities only rarely. Promises made are readily broken and once money had been paid over, the relationship is over for Carbon Environmental. I always enjoy going to Carbon. They have unique quality products that I can't find anywhere else. Their customer service is impeccable, as Coco once tried 4 different cleaners on a stained jacket of mine that I brought in. She then told me they were out of a product that might work, then called me to let me know that the product would not be coming in, but had other suggestions. It is refreshing to have quality customer service coming from people who care and go out of their way to help you. read more
