I was a patient of Dr. Murphy's since I was a boy. I called to make an appointment in 2024 to find out that Murphy had moved on, and his practice had been handed down to Dr. Cara. I hadn't been to the dentist in a while and my teeth were in pretty rough shape, so I was very nervous to go, but I made an appointment. The first thing I noticed upon entering Murphy's old stomping ground, now in the care of Dr. Cara and her team, was the absolute banger playlist of 90's music playing in the office. Collective Soul, Natalie Imbruglia, etc. Right away, I took this as a great sign. The first person I met after getting signed in was the hygienist who I discovered shares a love for horror movies like I do. We talked about the latest one we'd both seen in the theater and hit off it right away. The topic about something I'm pretty passionate about quickly made whatever nerves I had settle down, and I felt like I was talking to a friend. Next I met Dr. Cara, who was immediately very kind and personable, with a great smile. They were able to start working on fixing my teeth that same day, which was appreciated. Dr. Cara talks through the procedure with her dental assistant (who is very funny and will even sometimes sing some of the 90's classics playing in the office while they work on you) and you're able to understand what's happening, and feel comfortable that she really knows her stuff. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Cara. Even though I've only had 2 appointments, I've already had a great experience, and feel very friendly with everyone there. I'm glad Dr. Murphy placed his practice in such good hands. Painless! Let me first say that I hate going to the dentist more than anything. I have been so impressed with the entire office. His receptionist/office manager and assistant were very professional and kind. Dr. Murphy took the time to meet with me before just putting me in a chair. He asked about any concerns with my teeth as well as any previous bad experiences. My experience in his office was completely different than any other appointment I've had. He is completely up to date on technology and uses it to make your experience the best that it can be. I had a crown and several fillings that needed to be updated and I have to say that it was truly almost painless. There was a tiny little prick of the needle but I was on nitrous gas and honestly, barely even noticed. It really doesn't get any better than his techniques. I will say that they aren't cheap but I also find that you usually get what you pay for and this was beyond my expectations. I highly recommend. read more
