My family's favorite. I take my car here, my husband takes his truck here and, my daughter takes her car here. We have their wash card that we all use. I've never had an issue over the years and have never heard my husband nor daughter say anything but positive things. I'm very disappointed in Clean Getaway. The service for the last several months has gone down in terms of how clean my car gets - things such as the wheels being a mess or swipes of paint not being dried but I've been tolerating it. Today however was the last straw. I took my car in and paid the usual $18 for an external wash with wheel and tires package. After I got the thumbs up that my car was cleaned I drove to the vacuums and as I walked around my car I noticed how bad it looked. There was dirt all over my wheels (BMWs are known for lots of brake dust) and one of my fenders was almost untouched with black water on it and other spots. I fetched one of the car people who didn't speak English and pointed at it and she fixed my wheels but not my fender. I then drove off and while on Main Street I turned back in to have my fender fixed. I paid $18 and my car was still dirty. They should fix it. Now I grab another person and show them my fender. While looking at it I saw more brake dust on my wheel. She started wiping down my wheel and then with the same towel started wiping my paint. Get that? She wiped my paint with a towel covered in abrasive brake dust. Seriously? I told her she should not use that towel now on my paint since it had brake dust on it. I asked her to get another towel and she said "why?" and stared at me like I was foolish. Okay.. Training issue. Then a manager shows up. I explained the whole story and show him more spots. I told him I'd had at least 20 washes and this was by far my worst experience and that I would not be back. His response? "Okay thanks sir" read more

They made a CLEAN GETAWAY with my money. I visited this place based on the reviews. Little did I know that when I paid for "the works" that they just run your car through the machine and barely do anything else afterwards. The guy hand drying my car tried to up-sell me on a wax package. After I declined and told him I'm going to inspect the car, he took a step back and ignored me when I pointed out that there was still dirt on the rims. My rear bumper had massive black smudges on it as well. He spent a good 3 minutes up-selling me on wax and didn't even spend 1 second addressing all the obvious dirt on the car. Simply put, they don't clean the car after it cycles through. They just dry it off and expect you to accept whatever way it comes out. The car came out looking like it drove past a car wash, not through one. read more

I usually go to the $7 car wash on Preston. I decided to give this $5 one a try since it is closer. First off I cave the attendant $10 and I asked for the $5 car wash. He said ok and closed the cash drawer. I said excuse me I gave you a $10. He laughed and said oh ya sorry and gave me my change... They never taped down my wiper, I did not think anything of it until later when I tried to use my wiper. The wiper blade had snapped off I assume there, but I can not prove it. I have a couple car magnets and one flew off, my mistake I forgot to take them off. I asked the attendant and he did not look happy to go check for me, but he did and found it! Went to the car parts store near by and was told it happens all the time at a particular car wash. So in the end it cost me way more than $5. Stay away. read more

Absolute Nightmare! I have never had an experience like this and I don't think I've ever given a business only 1 star. I'd give no stars if possible. I initially felt pretty confident going there after reading the mostly positive reviews. When I arrived, most people seemed to use the car wash and self vacuum instead of the FullService...now I see why. If you don't want to read on, I recommend using the car wash and self serve vacuum Only! Don't let them touch your car!! Unfortunately, not all the staff takes the same care with your car. All my car needed was dusting and vacuuming but the leather I keep clean. The two people cleaning my car did a terrible job. When I got back in the car, there was a black, gummy, sticky tar like substance ALL over the console and sporadically over the 2 front seats and back seats. I was speechless! All I could say was Uh?! Uh?! What is that? This nice younger man who had helped me when I dropped off the car, came over when I was trying to find help. I showed him the black tar and he looked pretty disappointed..he said he remembered that the leather was not dirty when I dropped off my car and apologized profusely. I told him he didn't need to apologize, I appreciated him helping me get this tar off and he apologized once again for his co-workers. I don't know where it came from, a tire? The door rim? Why would someone give you your car back after making it dirtier than it was to begin with? And why do they think it's okay to wipe that substance all over the interior? Change the towel if something is on it! The young man and I scrubbed for almost 20 minutes and not all the tar would come off! This nice man came over and brought some kind of new cleaner and was able to get it off. Id like to say thank you to him and the young gentleman who helped me. Meanwhile they're trying to get the last few spots and the manager comes over and lectures me on using his towel and spray. Sigh. Really? I told him we've been scrubbing a black sticky substance the cleaning people put on the leather for the past 20 minutes. He pretty much didn't care and goes 'well , looks like your done'. Um no, so I pointed out the last few spots we were still scrubbing. The manager was very apathetic and acted like he didn't care, was Not helpful, or proactive about fixing their error. I recommend NOT going here unless you're just gonna run your car through the wash and vacuum it yourself. I won't be coming back. read more

it's Christmas Eve and my car is filthy. I ran into a Volkswagen employee who told me at Lowes I should get my car washed. I had already tried once before yesterday, but the line was wrapped all the way into Main Street. I arrive at exactly 5 o'clock on Christmas Eve. they stop the line the car in front of me. I use my puppy dog eyes and :-(, but the manager was going to be strong for his crew, they deserve to get home early for Christmas Eve. I explained this was my second attempt and that I had just got my husbands car detailed for $145, but having bronchitis all week have not been able to get mine done. with a big smile and I thank you for your business, he sent me through as the last car. I made sure to tip the last employee $10 and wish them a Merry Christmas. I highly recommend the clean getaway, they work very hard and it's obvious the management protects his people. I love how his first thought was so his employees get home to their families. so I certainly appreciate his accommodating me after my trials. ATTENTION FRISCO RESIDENTS!!! Beware of Clean Getaway Car Wash in Frisco 3520 W Main Street. Exceptionally poor customer service/Dangerous situation. It was quite scary as no emergency shut off was initiated because no one was attending the area. We began to honk feverishly, however received no response. It was quite a scary ordeal as I didn't know whether to try and reverse, possibly hitting another vehicle or prepare for the larger vehicle ahead of me to overtake and crush my car, which was very likely. Eventually the cars began to move forward again and exited the car wash terminal. The driver ahead and I got out to make sure the other was alright and to assess possible damages. Aside from being shaken up there was no damage. No one from the business came to check on us nor was aware of such an incident that just occurred in their car wash area. I proceeded to bring it to their attention and was put in contact with the owner, Jason Grant, who showed no empathy, professionalism or concern for his patrons. I then had to call the local police department myself as Jason was uncooperative. As a result and now having done more research on this Clean Getaway Car Wash location, it appears that other patrons have experienced other terrible incidents and such treatment at this establishment. Stay away from this location. There are many other car washes in the area with better service, better prices, and who appreciate their customers. I wanted to let people know that this is my first time on yelp but I am so impressed with this business I wanted to let others know. Six months ago I left my ipad in the waiting room while I had full service done but did not realize it till that evening. I went back the next day and spoke with the manager, it was found and in the safe. I was so relieved. Then today I cleaned out the trash from my car at home and drove to the car wash for a $8.00 wash. Not realizing I had left my cell phone on the back bumper of the car until the attendant walked up to the vacuum area and handed it to me. I once again asked for the manager and expressed how lucky they were to have such wonderful employees besides always getting a great wash from them. Great prices, variety of washes and services. We went through the car wash with our new (less than 6 months old) SUV. We have a rear windshield wiper and they did not tape ours down to the back window. When we went through the wash we heard a terrible sound and upon turning around we noticed our windshield wiper being pulled in all directions away from the car. It sounded as if it might be completely pulled off. When we got out of that portion of the wash we took it over to be vacuumed and noticed that the wiper was bent and there was a hole through the metal of the back of our car where the wiper is attached and the paint was coming off. We brought this to their attention and ended up staying for about 30 more minutes for them to take pictures and document everything. We still had to pay for the car wash. The attendant that was helping us was very nice which is a plus. The manager told us we would get a call from corporate in a few days after they reviewed the tapes they took as our car went through the wash. One week later we still hadn't heard so we called the manger back. We were told we would get a call in a few days. No call so we called again. We were told the same thing and once again no call. This happened four times and we even asked if there was a number we could call and were told there wasn't. Finally after three weeks we were given a call and told they had never seen this happen before and wouldn't pay. We told them to look at the tapes as there was no other way this could've happened. We also told them we had pictures of other somiliar cars on the same day we got the wash who had their wiper taped. Three days later they called back and said to get quotes and they would decide where to send our car to get it fixed. Over a month after the damage the car was finally fixed. While they did finally come through they were not easy to deal with and I don't trust them. **Beware and make sure they always tape your back wiper if you have one! read more

i went here today 7-26-14 and paid for the works plus for a total of $19. it's not the price or the quality of the wash i'm writing about. once i got out of the wash and they dried my car, i pulled around to vacuum my car. i did the driver's side first then went over to the passenger side and opened the back door first only to see about 30-30 scratches above the wheel-well of my car for which i took pictures. i went directly to the lexus dealership and bought some touch-up paint to try and fix it. at that time, i remembered i still had the receipt in my car so i called in and asked for the manager. the man who answered (jason) who also identified himself as the owner got immediately defensive when i told him what had happened so i emailed the pictures to him. he then proceeded to tell me that someone must have hit me. however, the damage was to both sides of my vehicle; not just the passenger side. it was just worse on the passenger side. i was merely calling in to inform him what his car wash was doing so that it could be prevented from happening to others only to be chastised and not offered a free wash (not that i would've gone back there anyway) or given a refund of my money. the main reason i am writing on here is so that if anyone else notices any damage to their vehicle like this, they will know where it came from. read more
