So let me start off by saying that the Owner Sergio is amazing. He was straightforward and honest and right to the point! I admire that because most people now a days try to take advantage, especially a woman in the car world. I am from Hollywood, CA and Sergio made me feel welcomed which I truly appreciate! Before I came to his shop I stopped by 'Stero King' Mike quoted me a ridiculous amount of money even though I had the my speaker and amp! The quote was over 800$! I went down the street to 'Car Stereo' and Very quickly no beating around the bush was quoted $500 LESS by Sergio! He was friendly, honest and to the point! The entire process took maybe 2 hours tops! I appreciate you and your business! On a Google check this business shows that it is open on Sunday just to clarify it is not. I showed up there on a Sunday afternoon. There were cars parked out front. I walked up to the door and even though the light was off, the door was unlocked. I called out to see if anybody was in there and was greeted by a gentleman and I say that vaguely as he didn't get up out of his chair and he said they were not open I informed him that Google was saying that they were and his response was " I don't care about Google. I don't care about what it says, and I don't care about reviews. I've been here for years and as long as I'm here the money keeps rolling in" he then priced the project I was looking at which was beyond outrageous. I found another local guy, not even 1 mile away with great customer service for half the price. I would not recommend doing business with this company. read more

The reality is, this person (owner) or franchisee wouldn't exist in any other realm other than this, as a small business owner where he holds 100% control. His work is terrible. His communication is condescending. As customers you have an option for where you want to go. There is Distinctive Sound in Portland (stellar customer service and great work) and sounds Unique Inc in Beaverton. Coming back with a third car left me pleasantly surprised how willing the management here is willing to keep the customer happy. I had sort of a confusing order of ripping a cd unit from one car and placing it in another, and also changing the bulb color on my HID's. We were able to schedule an appt for two days out for all the work to be done.They charged me hundreds less than their competition Stereo King down the street for the exact same job. The guy who helped me was very cordial, helpful and knew that I wasn't hip on the newest Technology (I hadn't put a system in my car since I was in highschool) He gave me quotes and his name and said to give him a call when I'm ready. Sergio is normally who you'll find when you walk in the store. He might seem a little ruff or not the jump around you're in the store kind of guy (you need to be careful with those kind anyway...). I wanted to put a Carplay head unit in my 2007 Tacoma. The choices in the market are bewildering for a non-expert. The guys at Car Stereo City provided outstanding advice and steered me to a unit that I couldn't be happier with. The installation included bluetooth, XM, rear view camera and multiple USB connections. It was a bit of work and they pulled it off flawlessly. It looks and performs better than anything you could get from the factory today. The pricing was reasonable and they were a lot easier to deal with than some 'larger' retailers in the area. Bad customer service! I bought an hid kit for my car and the job was done great. The reason why only 2 stars is because after having my car in a shop, the headlights didn't work, I drove by there and ask them if they can check them, the guy on the counter seemed uninterested and told me in about an hour he'll have one of the guys in the shop look at it. I told him it could be something simple yet he said they were all busy so I waited. 15 minutes later a guy came with an F150 and had some issue with his hid and the guy behind he counter jumped and went outside to help him with a super awesome smile while I was being ignored. 40 minutes later the same guy told me to come back in 30 minutes and they'll get it fix, I left and took it to another shop that sells hid in Beaverton, even thou I didn't buy them there they fix it for free without an appointment just so they could gain a potential future customer. read more

I see some bad reviews on here about this place. Let me start off by saying they beat out there competition up the street by a lot. I have a Cadillac deville, Anyone who knows about these cars know its well beyond a basic installation. I came in and talked to the manager about parts I needed to do the installation myself. After talking to him for a while and him explaining what I had to do and was going to need, I knew I was in over my head. He was still willing to get me the parts, no pushy sale at all. I ended up letting these guy do the installation and got a new deck all for a better price then everyone else just for the installation. It's been like 4 or 5 months now and everything still hits like it should. Good job guys! You have a customer here for life! read more

The guy who claims to own this place is rude. They take your money no problem. But then they dont do the work. He did work for me and my womans 2011 mazda 3. He took everything apart and didnt put it back together. Then he refused to finish the work on the car because me and my girl are white people???? We are paying customers. He took our money. Bbb is going to love to hear about this guy. My shop kadels told me they would fix my stereo for free. Due to the fact it was because of a crash i was involved in. And kadels did the work on my car. But forgot to fix my system. All they needed was the diagnostics. But the owner refuses to give that up as well. Now i have to pay another fee to another company. Don't go through these people. I stopped in the other day to check pricing on the HID headlight kits they advertise. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a very friendly staff who answered all my questions, gave me a price quote and offered to install them right then and there. Their customer service is excellent. I looked around the store, they have a lot of woofers and boxes but was disappointed with the low selection of head units. I think there were less than 10 on display and they were pretty much all the same. I'm guessing they use the showroom as the warehouse too. It's pretty cluttered with sub boxes. Not just ones on display but all the stocked ones. They desperately need to vacuum the floor. But I'd still check them out for stereo needs and they did a fast job installing my HID's which look great. read more
