They were not the cheapest, nor were they the most expensive. After getting quoted $425 for the entire car with ceramic tint, we scheduled the appointment. I dropped the car off and was told it would take about half the day. I arrived back to pick it up after receiving a call about 4.5 hours later. I went inside and paid. They originally tried to charge me more than was quoted because of a total of 9 windows instead of 7 (they count the 6 inch triangles next to the front two) but Peter made it right, and only charged what he had quoted. I should've inspected the car before paying, because their were several issues with it. After inspecting it, I brought Peter out to take a look. There were several scratches up the sides of the windows, and what looked like rust particles under a few. I am aware that there would be bubbles for a few days while they dried, but this was not that. Peter told me that it was from the plastic tool that they use, and that it should go away in a few days, but if it didn't, to come back and they would redo them. I also noticed that from spraying the windows and the film, our car doors and rear seat had stains on them that were not previously there. I messaged Peter and was scheduled the next week to have them redo some of the windows and have the detail guys clean the fabrics. After bringing it back to them, they did replace the window tints that had the scratches, and I couldn't tell if they actually did detail it, because some of the liquid lines are still visible. Unfortunately, this $425 window tint is going to cost me more money because I'll have to take the car to a real detail shop to clean up. They also left scrap tint trash crumpled up on the floor of the back seat. Overall, I'm not sure how they do with car electronics, but I would personally not recommend them for window tinting.

Needing a real stereo system for my car, I investigated a few shops and decided on Mobile West. My challenge is that all of my music is on iTunes but my amartphone is Android. I don't want to Bluetooth music from my Android as it drains the battery. My goal was to use my iPod shuffle as the music source, which they said could be done. It can't. The speakers, while good, were located in an area that were blocked anytime I had my gym bag or groceries on the floor. After a few back and forths, I upgraded the stereo and put in additional speakers to give it surround sound and to avoid the side door situation. I have a tiny car, which makes it challenging. Mobile West gave me full credit for the previous equipment and the install, which I put towards the new configuration. Stereo system works, not with iPod shuffle, but with an old iPhone that I keep just for this purpose. Most important, the sound is fabulous! Several months later, I noticed the small microphone for voice commands had popped off, opening the sun visor had knocked it. I stopped by the other day and Steve greeted me at the door, remembering me and my car. After taking a look, he said the microphone should be in a different location away from the visor. Without hesitation, he said they would rewire and install a new microphone holder, no charge, since they stand by their work. I didn't have to bring my receipt or anything. He remembered me and that was good enough. I brought my car in the next morning, it took just 10 minutes to rewire to new location. Not only did it look better, it picks up my voice better. Thanks, Steve, I really appreciate you and your team!

He had to order them (despite the fact that I had already paid for them) and said he would return the following week to install them. I never heard from Will again. He completely abandoned me. I have reached out to him probably a dozen times over seven months. We set up several appointments to fix my car and he simply did not come to them. I've tried to text him, tried to call him, he just never writes back. He never calls back. Per my original invoice, I have paid for more than $200 worth of equipment and service that I simply never received. And I have no way to get it back, because Will keeps ghosting me. I feel like I have been stolen from. Totally unacceptable. At this point I don't know what recourse I have except to warn you not to use this company. They will steal from you and then avoid you forever. If I do hear from them, I will update this review.

Do yourself a favor, go with a better Yelp rating before trusting your vehicle to Car Toys. Here…read morewas my experience. A couple of weeks ago, Car Toys tried to get me to buy a THIRD, yes, THIRD user interface from them at no discount, no free install, to control their system in my van. Also, I had the displeasure of being treated with disrespect, and being talked down to, and felt bullied into buying that third system, another $1,600 after the last install at $2,100 a few years ago. Here are the details. I left my van with Car Toys for a week to recreate the glitches in the Kenwood system, which have been getting progressively worse. They confirmed the Kenwood touchscreen is not working proplerly, and they suggested 6-8 weeks to send the faulty Kenwood system to a 3rd party to repair, but I cannot wait that long because the van is used for business. I spoke with numerous other professionals who all said the Kenwood system is quite trustworthy, and that this seems odd. When I picked up the van from Car Toys, I noticed my rear speakers were no longer working even though they worked when I dropped it off. When I asked the manager what can be done about my new larger problem, he became pushy, adjusted the balance to the front speakers and said everything works fine, told me that they have been trying for a week to get a hold of me to tell me to come and get my van, said that he already had told me they can't do anything until they replace the interface, and had me follow him into the store and stood behind the counter with a new $1600 interface waiting for me to hand him my credit card. My 12 year old son was offended by how this man spoke to me, which says a lot. I decided to get a second opinion from independent installer's, have their hands on my system. They discovered four firmware updates on my Kenwood system, dating back to 2022 that had never been installed. After updating the Kenwood system, the touchscreen now works perfectly, better than the day Car Toys installed it because one of the updates was right around when it was installed in the first place! I cannot believe Car Toys wanted me to spend another $1600 on yet another user interface, meanwhile, they didn't even try the update. The folks from where I got the second opinion had to take apart the entire dashboard of my Sprinter in order to do the update, because car toys did not make the port accessible for the update. I find it inconceivable that a company can stay in business doing things like this, not installing updates, not allowing access to perform the update, pushing repair/replacement instead of updates. Here are some other things my independent installers found: -Mismatched screws, none of which came with the Kenwood system -Missing mounting screws -Improperly installed sound insulation in the car. (Closed cell rubber not removed before butyl rubber installed, so butyl stuck to closed cell rubber) -Possible damage to my amp while testing touchscreen, thus the reason for the rear speakers not working. P.S. You can find my independent installer by looking for the best Yelp reviews under this category. P.P.S. I am a woman, not sure if that is part of why I was treated like this, but I was quite kind in the face of the attitude I was given.
