The Car Outlet website doesn't have pricing info, so I provided mine hoping I could talk to someone maybe go to their location and get an idea. Anna called me and completely turned me off. From the beginning of our conversation, she was pushy. I explained what I was doing and immediately she tells me "But you can leave with a car today". I felt I explained myself 3 or 4 times that I was only doing research and trying to get a price range, and each time her response was we can work with you and you can come in today and leave with a new car. I even told her I don't have a license, I need that first. Her response, "You don't need that to buy a car", ummm but I would need it to drive home. When I told her for the 5th time that wasn't my intention, she began to say, well saving money is a waste of time because prices change. I told her once again, I wanted to get a price range not a set price. She then informed me the only way to provide that was to come in because they first have to ask very personal information about me then they can give me prices. In the end I told her that was fine, for now I would go one websites that would give me prices and when I was ready; which wasn't right now, I would go to a dealership. Said it ran great, which it did... for only 2 days! Then everything started making noises and rattling. Then we tried going there asking for help and they were VERY rude. Guess maybe cause we didn't speak spanish! And then we tried contacting our sales rep asking if we could swap it out with in the first 2 weeks (like she had said) for something with lesser miles and she said no because she "didnt say anything about 2 weeks".. apparently we made that up in our head. This is the worst car dealership I ever had to deal with. They sold me and my partner a used 2010 Chrysler Town and Country Limited minivan. The car was presented to us by Marcos Chavez ( salesperson) with a lot of extra electronic equipment that increased my interest in it because I would not look at something that old. A few days later I had to take it in for repairs. Yes the car was a problematic one. The repair lady was trying to tell me that I bought it "as is" when they stated on paper work that it I had a 90 day warranty on it. And then after getting it back and paying my $700 warranty fee only to realize have equipment stolen from it. First they removed the hinge from the rear, then the plastic stepper from the back bumber and replaced it with a faded one ( no silver finish), then they took out the front tweakers domes and replaced the covers with some other cars plastic covers that do not even mach the interior of my car they also took out a second console from center of the car that had a VES video gaming device. All that is what I can remember and see. They where claiming the fixed the actuator of the rear door and the air conditioner sensor. I can only state that because they where asking if I have pictures to prove it. What person buys a car and takes pictures of everything in the car. DO NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THEM. Sleezy salesmen lurk around with intentions to maximize profits and make the most commission with disregard to client satisfaction. Although there is a great selection of cars, the sticker price on the majority of them is way above the KBB value. Not to mention the financing department who charges you astronomical figures in order to lend you a couple dollars, hence their "In House Financing". It's all a car dream scheme with phenomenal advertising both on TV and radio. Their jingle ringing in spanish "Me Voy Pa Car Outlet". Did not find one spoke the general manager and in a matter of seconds he found another truck. The new truck is worse then the first one they still say nothing is wrong with it. They even washed up my car when I left it was running and looking like new. I highly recommend getting a car from these guys . I have had my vehicle for less than 4 months and within the first week my engine had to be replaced. I made a big deal about it because I felt I shouldn't have had to pay for it cause I didn't have it that long and plus that was the vehicle I was looking for so I didn't wanna trade it in. So I paid the fee. When I purchased my car they said the ac worked now that I check it, it doesn't cool whatsoever. Mind you they offer a warranty for a yr that your paying for. Their main target is the Latino population that doesn't know very much about what their rights are and car outlet takes their money on the spot. My husband mistakenly purchased a car from them that ended up being more expensive than my brand new Toyota. I wasn't with him when he dealt with them otherwise he wouldn't have signed anything. They don't report to the credit bureaus but be late making your payment and you won't get them off your back. We had a family emergency and were late with the payment 10 days and we already had the repo guy telling us that they would be here to take the car that same night even though the payment was already made that morning. I would have rated Car Outlet minus 5 stars if possible. I purchased a vehicle from the Joliet location 6 weeks ago while visiting my family (we live in Michigan). My husband and I had been looking for an SUV for a few months and thought we had a great deal from Car Outlet so we decided to make the out-of-state purchase. Well 2 weeks later it started squeaking from the rear. We took it to 2 different Michigan mechanics and they both advised to have it serviced at the dealer where we bought it. So I took 2 days off of work and made the 300 mile trip to have Car Outlet fix my vehicle. The first day (Tuesday) that they had it I was told that they couldn't hear a squeaking noise but that the humming noise was from my tires that needed to be replaced (we knew it would need tires sooner rather than later). I stopped in (Tuesday evening) to test drive it with the mechanic and he did finally hear the squeak that I was complaining about. It had NOTHING to do with my tires. He asked if he could keep it one more day to fix the squeak. I said yes but that I had to be back at work Thursday. Wednesday late afternoon I call to get an update and they tell me that my vehicle is ready for pick up. Apparently the squeaking was coming from the brakes...which I didn't believe because the squeaking was constant. So I pick it up but 30 minutes later it starts squeaking again. I couldn't take it back to them that night because they were already closed. So INFURIATED...I go back Thursday morning (when I should be driving back home). After 2 hours of waiting they said "oh, it's a seal that needs replacing. We can have it ready by 3 or 4 p.m." I had to leave to get back to work that evening so I took their printout with their recommendations (which I just noticed had another customer's name on it) and left back to MI in a squeaky vehicle. So after 2 days off of work and $75 in gas my problem is still not fixed. Now my 3 months or 3,000 mile warranty is no longer valid because they wasted my time and didn't fix the vehicle during the first 2 days that they had it. I do NOT trust them and will never do business with them or recommend them to any of my friends and family in the Chicago area. I am COMPLETELY unhappy with Car Outlet but they do not care. They will just continue to take advantage of people. read more
