I went there on Labor Day looking for a car for my daughter. They showed me 3 cars. My daughter…read moredidn't like the one so we narrowed it down to two of them. I wanted to test drive them and was told after she ran my credit to get an idea of what I can afford. I told them ahead of time the range of my credit score and was told no problem . We go in and I sit for an hour with her. She runs my credit and comes back to me with the monthly payment and a 2000.00 down payment. I still was not given a car fax report nor was I allowed to test drive either car. She wanted me to purchase that day but I told her I had to come back over the weekend with the money for down payment. I was told I would be able to test drive and get the car fax. I get a text and a call over the week asking me if I was still interested. I told them the car I wanted to purchase and they gave me an appt. We get there and the car now has a dent in the door that wasn't there before. So I asked about the second car we looked at that had the engine light on and was told she didn't know if it was still on because the mechanic wasn't in. So there was new car that was the same type but didn't have sticker on it. I inquired about it. She went in and brought the key out. My son had come with me because he knows about cars. He turned it on and we asked to test drive it. She immediately wanted the car shut off and wanted us to come inside. I asked why? They then act like they were going to run my credit again and I told them no because I didn't want them lowering my credit again when I was told by her I was already preapproved. They did it anyway. She wanted access to my bank accounts. Some man whom I never met was there, he asked an employee to put the sticker info in the car we were interested in and got upset when we were looking at it. He then came over and stated he wouldn't approve me for either car. Not the one we originally came in for with the dent which they acted like was not there or the one with the engine light on. They wasted another hr running my credit again after I told them not too and I was treated like I was delusional for thinking I was preapproved when I was told the price range of car I could buy. I should have known not to trust them when I found out that the price they had listed online was not the real price but the price for the down payment I would not recommend them at all. I would give them a half a star for lying, wanting to get into my bank account on my phone, and wasting my time.

Generally speaking, for a car in decent shape you'll get 50-75 percent of Blue Book wholesale, if that. Remember you're trading a hard asset for convenience and instant cash and you're paying the vig. I have put a few vehicles through their pricing Cuisinart just for grins and believe me, this is absolutely not the best decision you'll make today. No one argues that selling a car privately is anything but a major hassle however, a few pics and keystrokes on Craigslist and at minimum you'll easily double your take. If you have a few days and are not worried about some goons rearranging your face then why be lazy and get ripped off. An extra thousand or two in your pocket instead of the Car Cash coffers sounds like a much better alternative. And watch out for those goons.
