You meet at the End of the trip pick-up point , The Alameda Bridge, then Nick takes you to the put-in point , About 8 miles north. He sets up the kayaks gave us a few brief pointers on what you remember and off we went. The cruise was great. The water was cold but not at all uncomfortable. Even though the kayaks are hardshell and a bit wider, hence more stable, we still managed to capsize one after a mistake we made approaching a narrow passage. We capsized the kayak BUT righting it was surprisingly easy. With the mountains to the east and the natural environment along the river, with ducks and egrets, the trip down the river was scenic. We both really loved the solitude, and the quiet, except for the sounds of nature. Just a thoroughly enjoyable paddle down the river. We were grateful to come across this business,Spirit Fly Expeditions, to be able to do this. Have thought often about maybe getting kayaks but at 68 & 72 years old I'm not sure how much we would use them, especially given the processes of getting them on and then off the river. We found this to be a great opportunity to experience the river via KAYAK without having to purchase them and then deal with those processes. With this option available to us, I see us on the river several times a year, maybe with friends, visitors to Albuquerque, etc. as well. When we arrived at the pick up point. Nick was there to greet us. We got out of the kayaks thanked him and off we went. He took care of everything else. Again, we were grateful to have this service to be able to have the river kayaking experience. Without this service it would not have happened for us. We're already planning another trip with some friends. If this sounds like an experience you would enjoy we highly recommend Nick and Spirit Fly Expeditions.

There are even bathrooms when there is no Covid pandemic crap happening but during this they put out "Porta potty's" (don't understand really how they are any better or safer or anything really) but they are there. Most of the river is knee to waist deep but there are currents. There is a place to launch your kayak if you want also. And right down the road you can rent horses and go horseback riding. It's great. Weekdays are less people but even the weekend isn't bad. I love to cleanse my crystals and meditate and get nice and grounded. You'll want to thank me if you go! Go!!! It's free too.

It was December and the track was on break. However, a very kind lady named Adriana responded the same day. She was very kind and welcoming. She let me know when they would be starting back up and how to get involved. I was very intimidated as I don't know anything about BMX. She was so kind and welcoming. I am so thankful. We showed up on the first day of gate practice and Adriana set us up with a free day pass. She then directed us towards where we could get loaner gear. We were loaned a bike, helmet, and jersey for our 6-year-old daughter. She rode the course at least 10 times and got a bit of a feel for the gate process. She loved it. We went again today for her first race. Multiple people were so kind to my daughter who is very clearly a novice and Adriana helped us on how to understand the Moto sheets and such. We look forward to the season progressing and Novice training starting. I will highly recommend Duke City to anyone. Can't wait to see what the season brings.
