Tranquil moments! Nothing short of peaceful, relaxing and refreshing!…read moreIf I could be there for a week, with nothing else to do, I would do it in a heartbeat! We were blessed with being able to see our kids and grandkids which made for a busy week. However, we were able to rejuvenate at this home away from home! Bruce and Loni pull out all the stops! Leaving nothing to be desired. They go above and beyond, adding special touches to everything! Thank you for a great stay and we will be back!

OMG! I'm so glad we stumbled upon them AND they were available to book a month out! I was excited…read moreto read up on them on Home Away from Home...however I was even MORE excited when we saw the pictures on the website and actually spoke to Loni during the booking process! Escape for Two is everything you would ever want in a romantic getaway. Secluded and beautiful setting..and amazing romance packages. We stayed in the modern Yurt which is an adorable little round cottage. Its like being in a round one room cottage. We also got to stay on the firefly cabin, where if we had to do this all over again...we would stay here. Because they have a two person hot tub!!! And we will do this again :) The little breakfast packages you get in the morning are awesome! We LOVED the omlets! And if you are willing to splurg on a smoked fish platter...you will be in for a treat! We had snacks for the rest of our stay because of how generous the platter was. We loved staying here mostly because we had a stove to cook and just relax and enjoy our time together. The only thing you can't do is process fish or any game that catch. However if you caught fish...they do have a large freezer available for you to store it. You will absolutely LOVE your stay here. They really made our Honeymoon a dream come true.

If you are using Yelp to find lodging in Homer Alaska, look no further…read more Marcella is the hostess. She is well grounded, down to earth, and easy to talk to. She can share a wealth of knowledge about the area. And can she cook. Breakfasts are over the top. From freshly ground coffee, to the fresh fruit, egg dishes, her homemade jams on her wonderful slices of bread, smoked salmon, and on and on. We are staying in the forget-me-not room. The tempurpetic mattress is so comfortable. There is a choice of jacuzzi tub, or shower. She has a large assortment of bath gels, shampoos, rinses, creams and emollients. The only problem with this place is that it is hard to leave.

The Inn is about a 10 minute drive to the Spit in Homer. Our windows overlooked lush greenery and the pacific ocean in the distance. The apartment provided a sitting area, comfy bed, full kitchen-stocked with any kind of breakfast food you could imagine, and a full bathroom. It was so nice, it was hard to leave it daily to explore other areas of Homer. Marcela was a perfect hostess. If you are planning to visit Homer, I strongly suggest checking out Cozy Inn. It sleeps 4. I would love to return to Homer in the future and will no doubt plan my trip around the Cozy Cove availabilities.

Halcyon Heights B&B/Inn - High bush cranberry in our yard makes delicious jam, we always save some for hungry winter birds to feed on.

You definitely didn't leave here hungry in the morning. The hot tub was nice in the winter; blast of cold fresh air and hot water even when it's snowy outside. Rooms are nice and clean. Their dog is so well trained. He is very smart. I would go here again or recommend this place to anyone. They even had a piano which I was able to play while there. They have christmas cactus growing above an different types of plants. It's actually a very warm and friendly atmosphere. This was my first time to Alaska and I have to say this B&B left a great impression on me even though there is not much daylight during the winter. That's nature for you!

Location: up on the hill with amazing views of the spit, water, volcanoes, etc.. A little further from downtown and definitely not walkable, but the views were worth it. They also sometimes have moose and various birds on the front lawn. Room: We stayed downstairs in the connected Portside and Starboard rooms. There were 3 of us, so this was more comfortable than just one room. There were 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full sized kitchen with refrigerator and stove, and a small patio area. No living room area so any social activities (such as playing a game or cards) would be done in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Heater was adjustable. Each room had a TV with cable. You could hear people walking above you, but it was not too disturbing. It was a bit odd that there were wine shelves in the bathroom. Shower had warm water. Overall, the rooms were clean and had nice personal touches. Breakfast: you eat breakfast in the main house with other guests and the hosts, Steve and Juxia. Juxia cooks breakfast which for us was a fritatta, coffee (which Steve is focused on perfecting, although is a bit elusive about his 'blend'), reindeer sausage, yogurt with fruit on top, and delicious homemade wheat bread with strawberry compote spread. It was great meeting the other guests. Hospitality: Steve and Juxia were great. They greeted us when we arrived and sat us down to tell us about the area and pay the bill. Their house has dozens of beautiful keepsakes, each with its own story. There is a large screen TV with hundreds of movies. The hosts welcome you into their main home to watch tv, play the piano or hear more about local attractions. Both hosts were very friendly and full of information. They also love their dog, a collie, who is showcased in all their brochures/emails. Website has a lot of information, but could use an upgrade. Prices were very reasonable, at least in the winter. Free wifi with good connection.
