We rented a Jeep for the afternoon and had a blast. Russell is friendly and knowledgeable. He thoroughly explained the routes and helped us map our adventure. The Jeep was a blast. We enjoyed the trails, saw some deer, and some of the most beautiful views of the forrest and the lake. We even found a few mud holes along the way. Can't wait to come back! read more

Fun time! The owner is super friendly and helpful. I think the jeep rental was worth the money in the end, 4 hours is plenty of time. We ended up deviating a bit from his recommended route because my husband was looking for more extreme off-roading. The usual routes are pretty tame, gravely but smooth, so if you're a beginner it will be easy. The main lookout point is really special, not like any of the views you get hiking or driving around otherwise. read more

We have our own Jeep, but had never been off road and didn't have a clue about where we could safely and legally drive off road. While staying in a Hochatown cabin, we stopped by hoping someone could help and were treated just as if we'd rented a Jeep from them. We got the app, the map, advice and answers to all of my questions to help get us out on a trail. Three trips out and we had a blast for our first time off roading. Thanks so much for your help and we'd highly recommend Captain's Hideaway for off road newbies and Jeep rentals. read more

We rented their jeep for the afternoon. Great off-road experience with a reliable GPS-based maps app and detailed guidance from the owners before heading out. The sceneries at the edges of these off-road trails were spectacular. We had a dog that does not shed so were able to get an exception to take the dog along with us in the jeep. He loved the ride too ! We stuck to their plan (to stay out of trouble) and it took us a good 4 hrs to complete the trip and return the Jeep. Overall, Great way to spend an afternoon. read more

So much fun! First, Carrie is very helpful, kind, and personable. She made booking, picking up, and dropping off the jeep as easy as could be. You are required to download an app that shows you exactly where you can go. This app is amazing and really puts your mind at peace on getting lost. I have never gone off-roading before. Thank goodness my husband has but, my biggest concern was that I wouldn't be able to get behind the wheel and drive myself. The trails are very manageable but still so much fun! I am so happy that I was able to drive and experience this. I can't wait to come back and rent the UTV next! read more

6 stars!! I can't recommend this business enough. Took a shot at this adventure with my travel group. We were able to rent a jeep for four hours same day. The owner Russel was responsive, courteous, friendly, and very professional. His trail recommendations were incredible. We thought we might drive up a few random trails through Broken Bow but decided to follow his advice instead. We were able to make some incredible memories in a short amount of time and the views were epic....like straight out of a movie kind of epic. It was the complete package! Anyone new to off-roading should give it a shot. Russel walked us through every step and even personally coordinated a safe way for us to get back to our cabin when our transportation plans fell through. Service like his is hard to come by these days. If you're in the Broken Bow area please give Captains Hideaway a shot at your business. P.S....nobody asked me to promote this business. I had an awesome experience here that was too good not to share! read more

We stopped in to see if they had any maps available for Jeeping. They were extremely helpful and helped us download an app and showed us all the trails they recommended for what we were looking for. Extremely helpful very nice and they have really nice Jeeps for rent if you're looking for a jeep experience but do not own one. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area. They made our vacation amazing! read more

We wanted to do something memorable for Father's Day weekend during our visit to Broken Bow, so we decided on a UTV rental for a trek into the Ouachita National Forest. From the start, Carrie was incredibly helpful in helping us chose the right option for our family. They walk you through the trail app, provide clean helmets for all riders, give you suggestions for a great ride, and even help you get the trailer attached to your vehicle. We had the most AMAZING day on the backroads on the Teryx UTV we rented through Captain's Hideaway. Their customer service is awesome! We are already looking forward to renting a Jeep to check out the Jeep trails for our next visit. 5 stars all the way! read more

This is one of the most fun adventures I have went on! I highly recommend that you visit Captain's Hideaway and rent a Jeep. We were able to see views that you can't see in other areas. We had so much and laughed so hard. They even provide you with an app and map. It is extremely helpful because cell service is very spotty in some areas. We will be renting again! read more

Came here with friends looking to rent a UTV. The gentleman in the front didn't appear to be interested in providing service or answering our questions. I took my business elsewhere. Outlaws down the street was way more helpful. read more

The best service ever. The lady was EXTREMELY thorough when it came to trails, safety, instructions. The app was extremely helpful in knowing where you were going. Jeep was clean, fun to ride in, and worth the money. The view was BEAUTIFUL. (Actually left my Airpods in the Jeep, and she made a special trip to personally let me get the Airpods back since we were leaving the next day). read more

Off Road Trail Driving in Quachita National Forrest and Trails was at the Top of our list with our visit to Broken Bow. The provider of our Jeep beat all expectations to make sure we enjoyed it. The information related to the vehicle and what to expect on the trails was detailed and friendly with an emphasis on safety. Russell reviewed a mobile map and provided detailed input as to stops and trail information. This was my first off road trail ride experience and I intend to use Captain's Hideaway Rentals on my return to Broken Bow. read more

Captain's Hideaway is awesome! We rented 3 Polaris Rangers for a full day of trails in Broken Bow, OK; Carrie, the owner, was super helpful and gave us a great map of the trails that gives GPS directions. It ended up raining the morning we booked the UTV's, and they ended up giving us an extra hour at the end for the lost time. Great experience, will definitely be renting again next time! read more

Doors locked during business hours, don't answer the phone and mailbox full. Great way to run a business.

Highly disappointed in this place. While in broken bow we called repeatedly trying to make a reservation for a jeep rental. We even texted their phone number trying to get ahold of someone. When we got no answers or calls back we visited their office front only to find a sign saying to call or text them. Terrible service. Would not count on using their rentals. read more

What a great experience!! We rented a Jeep for a full day and took it on the trails they recommended! Riding through the trails is only half the fun!! The views you are able to get to by going through these trails are unbeatable and indescribable! We also used the jeep after the trails to stop by some local must see places in Hochatown! Great people and awesome experience! read more

What a great find. Highly recommend the Jeep rental. We had so much fun. Jeeps are in great condition and the instructions we received led to a great off-road adventure through beautiful landscapes we would have never seen otherwise. We can't wait to return with the kids! read more

The place is easy to spot right off the highway as you come into Hochatown. Our kids really wanted an ATV experience. We gave them a call as we were heading into town and they suggested that we stop in and sign all the waivers and insurance details. We also fitted our helmets which are included and required for kids. The next day, we headed up to Captains Hideaway early, hooked up the trailer that was waiting for us, and drove to the forest. The trail app worked great and we had an awesome, dirty four hour drive in a nearly brand new 4 person TeRyx!! read more
