I brought my boat in for a simple repair and it took WEEKS for them to "fix it" and when I was finally able to pick it up my bill was over 3,000. I asked what was wrong with it and Charlie couldn't even form one sentence to explain what it was. Mind you they did work I didn't approve of them doing. Whatever I paid and left.... but could not make it home because my boat broke down in their canal. Unbelievable. Brought it right back and they told me it's been bay tested and someone would look at it because they don't know why it happened. Charlie then proceeded to tell me if I can't afford to fix the boat I should not own one. Who the hell are you to say that to someone? Waited another 3 weeks for my boat and it still never ran right. Brought it to a different place and it was fixed within 3 days, only 600 to fix and it's been running GREAT ever since. All they care about is money. They do not care about fixing your boat. And will charge OVERLY charge you and get confrontational when you ask them about the prices they're charging. They're rude, lying, good for nothing pos! I even spoke with people who dock with them who say they are leaving after this season because they are horrible! Please save your self from this less than HALF A** marina.

Upon check-in we'd learned that the limit is typically 4 people (700 lb maximum), but since most of us are pretty small we were well under that weight limit even as five people, so they allowed it (and I lived to write this review so, all good). After signing my life away and a very quick motor tutorial by a kid who looked like he couldn't be older than middle school, we were on our way. The motor on this boat took a little getting used to, but once I got the hang of it I was a pretty good captain (I'd like to think). We put down the anchor and got out to explore Bird and Gull Islands, then headed over to another beach with a hill to climb up and get a bird's eye view of the area. Before we knew it, it was time to head back to the harbor, but we kept the party going with some drinks and food (will review that separately). Jay (who I think is the owner or manager?) told us we were only allowed to rent a boat if we took a picture and it turns out he was serious (see the photo shoot results in my photos which turned out pretty cute). He took these on his phone so not sure what else he plans to do with them.

The property is dotted with bamboo around the walkways that bring you through wooded area over to the other end from the lot. It's a quick jaunt to/from the LIE (though we always take the back roads) and is kinda equidistant in terms of the entire Peconic route, offering some nice portage (including a ramped launch between tunnels that seems to amaze newcomers every time when they spot the bottom of a not-that-severe dropoff into tunnels, which complement the one up the road).
