I guess a combination of alcohol, sun, and waves helped for a headache to spawn in a couple of us, so I knew we needed to get some Advil and quick. As everyone sat and ordered lunch at Monty's, the Snoops and I made our way to you, the little marina/boating store located directly in front of Monty's. What a lifesaver. Once inside, we quickly decided to take a glance around at all of the boating goodies. From first aid to safety equipment, from extra parts to finish rods, from life vests to sunblock, there wasn't anything one couldn't find. I ordered five quarts of paint, and everything went well until the UPS tracking number revealed…read morethat the package had been damaged in transit and discarded. Hopkins-Carter was supposedly notified of this fact. What followed was two weeks of me having to pester customer service about whether a replacement shipment had been sent and when I could expect it to arrive. Customer service was slow to respond to my emails. Eventually I did receive my paint, but was surprised to find that the cans, which are not very sturdy, were packed only in bubble wrap and shipped in an over-sized box. Two of them were dented, and I can easily see why the first shipment was destroyed -- the packaging was inadequate for the task. So, I'm happy to have finally received my order, but not thrilled about it taking three weeks and two tries to get here.
