TIP: Captain Steve was really kind in offering to help us with our cooler, and offered to bring a cart/wagon to put the cooler on to make it easier to bring on the walk to where the boat is docked. *Captain Steve: Not only was he informative about the areas, but he was also a pleasure to have a conversation with. This was our first time to New York and we did a sunset cruise and we were blown away!! The Captain and crew were outstanding and so accommodating and pointed out many landmarks around the harbor.. We got up close to the Statute of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Brooklyn Bridge and saw Manhattan lights by night. His policy says that if there is a cancellation due to weather you can't get refunded, you have to reschedule, so he wouldn't give me a refund. I booked him for a trip with friends who were only in town for a weekend and he couldn't fit us in to reschedule during the weekend. I called and left voicemails all day asking him to please call me and he never picked up the phone. Extremely unprofessional, he abused his weather policy to keep my money and also get a private lesson in when it worked for him with no regard for the client.

The crew was friendly, the boat was comfortable, and we enjoyed beautiful views of the bay. It's a great short cruise, perfect for families or anyone who wants to get on the water without a long commitment. They offer a variety of options including private charters, kids summer fishing camp, open boat fishing, and special themed tours. One of the tours they mentioned is the Great Gatsby tour, which is not always available. The tour guide is a book writer who has written many fiction books and has a great ability to provide interesting details that make the experience much more engaging. Overall, it was a pleasant trip. If you're in the Port Washington area, Angler Fleet is a solid choice for a bay cruise or fishing adventure. We'll definitely consider them again for longer trips or one of their special events.
