I especially love the walking path that goes along the lake, and my daughter and I like to spot gators in the water or sunning themselves on land. Last time we were here we saw gators, raccoons, squirrels, the cutest wild bunnies and a variety of large & small birds including roseate spoonbills. He loved running around and looking through all the different tanks full of fish. It's a pretty small aquarium and tickets are relatively inexpensive at $15 pp. You can also buy a ticket bundle and combine it with the Madame Tussauds wax museum next door. We didn't do that this time but not a bad deal if you want to see both. This is definitely a tourist attraction, being located on I-Drive, but we still enjoyed it. We went through it in about 45 minutes, but you could go at a slower pace if you're not chasing a toddler. Even with the size, there's still a lot to see and a wide variety of fish and sea life: sharks, turtles, axolotl, starfish, stingrays, seahorses, jellyfish, moray eel, and more. There's also a touch tank at the end if you want to participate. It also wasn't too crowded and was easy to navigate.

I'm super impressed they even carried the reincarnated version of my favorite discontinued Hershey candy bar "Bar None". Not quite the same as the original, but I suppose nostalgia ain't what it used to be.

We spent two nights in their newly renovated cabins. Upon arrival we were given a cabin number and…read morea key. When we got to that cabin there was an individual with a car in the assigned parking spot with the hood open. I asked if she was staying in that cabin and she said no, her car was overheating and she simply pulled in to put coolant in her car. Fine, no issues. We got our dogs out to walk them before we unloaded the truck. This individual then began telling us we had the wrong cabin. Well, the registration desk gave us the key to said cabin, so how is it wrong. She then informed us that she worked there and we were not supposed to have this cabin. So we go back to the office and was then told that yes, this person worked there and she wanted that cabin for the weekend. Now I'm of the school of thought, the customer comes before the employee, but apparently not in this case. The cabins themselves are cute and the inside is basically set up like a normal hotel room. Queen size beds, full size refrigerator, toaster oven, Keurig, microwave and sink. The mini split air conditioner could not keep up with the room and the over 100 degree heat indexes, so maybe another one or some additional cooling means would be great. The bathroom is decent, however, the water will run out of the shower due to the location of the rain shower head. I was finding bugs here and there, now I grew up in Florida so I get it, bugs are inevitable, but found this on the clean towels, not sure if it's a flea or a bed bug, but either way more attention to extermination would be helpful. Beds are not comfortable and they are loud. Moving around on the bed is a nightmare because of how things are set up. Overall, the stay was just okay. The issue with 'being in the wrong cabin' fiasco was probably the most aggravating part. Take care of your customers first, so you have a need for employees.

My 17 year old daughter and I had so much fun at Wild Florida! We visited both the Gator Park, the…read moredrive thru safari, and the lemur experience and all were well worth the price of admission. First the safari - You drive your own car through this safari and in our experience, you really don't have to worry about damage to your vehicle. There are so many animals, many species that I didn't recognize. When we entered the safari, we were given a booklet that had photos and brief descriptions of all of the animals, and that was a huge help in identifying what we were viewing. I loved that we could go at our own pace and there were plenty of pull-offs for us to use if the vehicles behind us wanted to travel more quickly. The animals trulya re right in front of you - most are wandering freely without cages, fences, or other barriers, and at times we had to stop to let animals cross the road in front of our car! At the end of the safari, there is a place where you can park your car and go up to a platform to feed the giraffes ($5 per person). We did it and it was so much fun to get to see the giraffes so close and have them take food right from our hands. We enjoyed the safari so much that we went through it again after touring the gator park. The gator park was super fun as well, and there are so many animals other than gators, too! We enjoyed the gator feeding. It was fascinating to watch them eat chicken meat off of a hanging line, and the commentary provided by the show's host was very informative. We also enjoyed holding a baby alligator and getting a digital photo. My 17 year old daughter loved the add on of the lemur experience. She, along with about 6 other guests, got to go inside a room next to the lemur exhibit and interact & feed a lemur. She truly loved this experience and it was definitely worth the added cost.
