As a parent of four children who have attended Caprock Academy since 2011, including three daughters who have graduated from the school, I can confidently say that Caprock Academy has been an incredible blessing to our family. The education, character development, and sense of community our children have experienced over the years have been truly exceptional. We originally chose Caprock Academy because it so closely aligned with the morals and values we hoped to instill in our own children as we raised them. From the very beginning, we appreciated the school's commitment to strong academics, character education, accountability, and a safe, respectful learning environment. What kept us here for so many years was the genuine care and investment that teachers and staff pour into students every day. Caprock is a place where students are known, challenged, and encouraged to grow not only academically, but personally as well. The classical education model has helped our children develop critical thinking skills, confidence, strong communication abilities, and a love for learning that continues well beyond graduation. We have two (soon to be three) boys who have attended Caprock since Kindergarten. They are thriving academically and socially, and love going to school. The Mon-Thurs schedule, differentiated groups, and smaller class sizes are what drew us to Caprock, but the community support and classical education model are what has kept us here. When my son had a significant medical event this year, staff and teachers were amazingly compassionate and quick to establish a 504 plan for him so he could receive the appropriate accommodations to still keep up as best as he could. There have been some ups and downs with changes in administration, but the commitment to excellence remains and I am confident that the school will continue to thrive. The worst school my kids have ever gone to, and in my opinion the worst school in District 51. The harassed my kids, and did everything in their power to upset our family. The first 3 months of school I had to buy one of my kids like 5 pairs of school, its like they inspected her shoes daily. We couldnt even make it a full year at this school before we were begging other schools if they had openings! They told me I couldnt bring in cupcakes myself for my kindergarteners birthday, then a week afterwards told me that they dont know why I was told that. I also witnessed a little girl running away from a teacher and she was in the middle of the road by the time anyone even got to her. The whole time the little girl was yelling for the lady to get away from her. Their drop off and pick up line is a mess. If the person directing traffic doesnt like you or your kids they will make you wait like 4 turns to go. Those are just a small handful of things that we experienced! read more
