Caprice Strings played before our daughter's wedding and during the ceremony. What a wonderful touch to the day! The music was beautiful, they were super easy to work with, and everyone loved having them there. They gave us an extensive list of musical choices ahead of time, and were happy to learn new songs if we chose. The great list of classical and contemporary music options fit the ceremony perfectly. Many thanks to Victoria and the Caprice Strings musicians! read more

We hired Caprice Strings for our wedding and couldn't have been happier. Everyone was raving about the strings, and they sounded incredible. The team was very easy to work with, quick to answer questions, and great value for all options. Consider them for your next event! read more

Caprice Strings played for my charity gala and all I could say was WOW!! Everyone absolutely loved hearing them perform and their presence brought together the whole event. We had many doctors, CEOs and investors at our event and they had nothing but good things to say about Caprice Strings. I met Jenny, Francesca, and Victoria and they were so incredibly kind and patient to me and my team. We had them up on our stage and they were very fast moving their equipment on and off stage (I hardly even noticed!) Through this whole process, I was conversing with Victoria and she was so amazing to work with! She answered every question that I had and was really open to the songs I requested. Since I booked them very far in advance, it was a worry of mine that they would cancel last minute (happens too many times with other companies I've work with in the past), but I was so so soooo pleased and relived that they still came on time to perform at our event. Although one of them had family commitments, they still were true to their word and came and performed. I am so incredibly grateful for them and their help in making our event much more elevated and I highly HIGHLY recommend working with them for your next event! read more

Caprice strings trio played at our daughter's recent wedding at Mt. Woodson Castle and they were just perfect. The musician's were very organized, on time, professionally dressed, and ultimately the music they played was beautiful. The music we requested was played flawlessly and timed perfectly throughout the ceremony. It was truly a magical day for a fairy tale wedding and wouldn't have been the same without Caprice strings. Thank you! read more

Caprice Strings played as a Trio at our wedding, and they are wonderful! So easy to work with, kind and professional. Their music was beautiful and really added a touch of magic to our ceremony. They offer both contemporary and classical songs and have a massive list of just about any song you would want, versus other musicians will charge you for contemporary songs. I would absolutely work with them again. Thank you Victoria for your help and flexibility! read more

In looking for a cellist for our ceremony, Caprice Strings came highly recommended by our wedding coordinator, Julie Scrivener. Francesca was incredibly warm, kind and patient through multiple postponements from the start of planning our wedding in early 2019 to finally celebrating July 3, 2022. The song selection Caprice Strings has to offer is outstanding, and Francesca helped navigate the format of our ceremony and choose the perfect pieces. Thank you to Francesca and her team for adding such musical beauty to our ceremony at the Japanese Friendship Garden, and for being a part of our special once in a lifetime day! read more

We hired Caprice Strings for a gala in San Diego and they did such a wonderful job entertaining the guests. It was the perfect, elegant addition to the event and I know our guests were impressed. The team was super easy to work with. I would definitely hire Caprice Strings again and recommend them to others. read more

Simply the best musicians you can find. Professional, kind, and personable, they will enhance any event with the beautiful music they make. If there's something you would like them to play and they don't already have an arrangement for it (but likely they do, as they've played in every kind of venue imaginable) they will do their best to find an arrangement that will suit their ensemble. Absolutely the finest in the business - you just can't go wrong with Caprice Strings! read more

Caprice Strings was one of my top vendors for my wedding. I hired the violin trio for my wedding ceremony, and their music was absolutely perfect. I can't imagine what the ceremony would have been like without them! Francesca communicated with me for a full year leading up to the ceremony. She was SO lovely to work with - you could tell she really cared about making sure my groom and I had the ceremony we were dreaming about. She would always tell me she wanted to make sure our experience was "perfect." I really appreciated her enthusiasm, sincerity and attention to detail throughout the entire process. What is also fantastic is Caprice Strings has a HUGE catalog of songs they can play. I found several string trios/quartets would charge a fee for learning certain songs I wanted, but Caprice Strings had ALL the songs I was looking for, which weren't your typical wedding tunes. For military brides, they do offer a military discount. If you want to have live music for an elevated, elegant wedding ceremony and have the very best experience with a wedding vendor, hire Caprice Strings. read more

My husband picked this string quartet for the Game of Throne covers, I'm writing this 5 star review for their cover of MGMT-Electric Feel. I had a vision to walk down the aisle to this song when I first started wedding planning and Caprice Strings delivered! I'm incredibly grateful for the group for making the moment so special for me. read more

We are absolutely impressed and thankful for the beautiful performance of Caprice Strings at our wedding ceremony!!

Francesca and the group did a beautiful job at our wedding. They were on time and very professional. At first, I'd have to admit, I was uncomfortable because there was no office for me to meet with her. I met with her over coffee and talked mostly on the phone to plan the wedding. But, she was very professional and friendly. We chose our music. She gave some suggestions of music choreography due to the double officiants. Thank goodness I listened to her b/c I didn't know about certain cultures and traditions. read more

I am a wedding coordinator and I had the pleasure of working with Caprice Strings this past weekend. Francesca was great to work with - before the event, she was quick to respond through email and we worked together to make sure that the timeline for the ceremony was right. To ensure the best performance, she made sure that the trio arrived on time to set up and to hold a practice with the Father of the Groom who was going to perform a song with them. On the day of the event, the trio provided beautiful melodies as the guests started to arrive. They were professional and very talented. Francesca and her team are all so sweet and friendly, truly a pleasure to work with! read more

I can't praise them or recommend them enough. They were a pleasure to work with and extremely responsible and professional. I hired them to play music while the guests were being seated, all the ceremonial music and the cocktail hour. I had asked for very specific classical music for the ceremony. The ceremony was about 30 min and they played beautifully. For the cocktail hour I requested anything but classical music and they were happy to play all my requests. They played Bon Jovi, Led Zepplin, Journey, etc. It was a huge hit and I got many compliments on it. read more

Caprice Strings created a fun, romantic vibe that permeated our wedding event and helped send my wife and I on our way to living happily ever after. They totally understood what we wanted and had the versatility and enthusiasm to pull it off -- from Ave Maria to Take Me Out To The Ballgame. (Go us ... go Padres!) Communication with Francesca was always clear, concise and fast. We're looking forward to their encore at our post-Covid reception. read more

We had a fantastic experience with caprice strings for our wedding. They played beautifully for our guests before our ceremony started & even through all the rain on our wedding day they were absolutely wonderful. My husband and I had many guests come up to us to compliment Caprice Strings. They even learned a song my husband had requested and waited until we arrived before they played it! Working with Francesca was great. She made everything simple and easy to understand. Their fee was very reasonable for the level of quality received and I am so glad that they were able to play at our wedding. read more

Caprice Strings played at my wedding and they were perfect! They played such beautiful music, they were all very elegantly dressed in black, and their version of Pachelbel's Canon in D was superb as my wedding march. I hope I have an opportunity to work with them again, Francesca is so nice and so easy to work with, organized, professional, and a fantastic musician. I can't recommend them enough! read more

We are really happy with Caprice String's performance! We had a string quartet, and although Caprice wasn't the cheapest, they were very easy to work with, were on time, and even learned a new song (for no additional charge) to play for our wedding. Our ceremonial music was perfect! The only thing that was key for them was making sure they had seats that were in the shade; so as long as your venue has shade, you're good! read more

Caprice Strings played for my wedding ceremony this October and they did a beautiful job! Francesca was so easy to work with. She answered all of my questions via email super fast and was very warm and kinda. Come the day of my wedding Caprice String arrived on time and set up quickly. They played all the songs we discussed before hand perfectly! It really added a more elegant romantic touch to my vineyard wedding! I would recommend Caprice Springs to anyone looking for talented, professional musicians for your event. read more

Francesca with Caprice Strings did an incredible job at our wedding. We hired her as a solo violinist and she made phenomenal music during our ceremony. I wish I had more time to speak with her at the event but I was busy getting married! She was a great communicator before the event and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend her for any classy event! read more

Caprice Strings is simply wonderful! Francesca was very easy to work with and helped along the process in choosing music, etc. The trio played for our wedding, welcoming guests to their beautiful sounds. They continued to play throughout the ceremony and for half of our cocktail hour. They elevated the experience to a whole new level as their music captivated everyone. If you're looking for a fantastic group of musicians, look no further and call Caprice Strings! read more

Francesca and Caprice Strings did a great job, for the second time, for our corporate event in San Diego. Everyone at the event enjoyed the music - just the right touch - not too loud, but that great background music that is noticed but clients may continue to hear each other.... and the group are truly nice people - something not found that often any more... I give my highest rating to Caprice Strings. read more

Francesca and her Caprice Strings Trio played gorgeous music at our wedding ceremony, and they went above and beyond. We asked them to prepare a special arrangement of "One Hand One Heart" for our ceremony, and they did a superb job, and it was a special part of our wedding we will always cherish. Although I was so nervous, and concentrating so hard on my walk down the aisle, I do not remember everything about that very special walk. I'm glad I have it on film thanks to Taylor Films:) And, I can say that they did a beautiful job with Pachelbel in Canon D, which I'd always dreamed of being my bridal accompaniment:) Wonderful people!! And highly talented and professional:) Thank you so much! read more

I worked with Caprice Strings recently for my wedding in partnership with Republic of Music. They were amazing. They learned a special song for me to walk down the aisle to (at no additional charge). Their communication was seamless and efficient. I can't say enough positive things about them. They will handle your special event with class and care! read more

I hired Francesca and her group Caprice Strings to play at my wedding back in 2010 and to this DAY I refer them to every bride I know getting married in the San Diego area. Their elegance and professionalism added a touch of class to my big day AND working with Francesca was so easy. She is an absolute sweetheart; organized, attentive and easy going. It is so scary choosing vendors for a wedding; however, if you are looking for a talented group, look no further. They can play ANYTHING. I wanted my music to be both traditional yet blend in Coldplay, Death Cab, Beatles and Enya - they did it all and more. The beautiful music they played before my ceremony and after has forever touched my heart; of all my vendors, they are the one that left the longest lasting impression - obviously - since I looked them up over two years later to Yelp about them! read more

Caprice Strings played for our September 2016 ceremony and cocktail hour. They were fabulous. Responsive and easy to work with. They arranged several songs specially for us. My only regret is that as the bride I wasn't able to pay more attention to them playing during our cocktail hour. read more

Caprice Strings was a real pleasure to work with. Francesca helped plan out a selection of music that matched our tastes, accommodated multiple program changes, and delivered a truly wonderful performance at the event, both during the ceremony and during the social/cocktail hour following it. This review is as overdue as it is genuine and heartfelt. My husband and I got married in a small ceremony at the beautiful Cordiano Winery in June 2015, and when I mentioned that I really wanted live music, Cordiano's wedding event planner, Kim, immediately recommended Francesca and Caprice Strings. I am so very, very glad we went with that suggestion. First of all, Francesca really, honestly cares about your ceremony, the music selections, and making the event as individualized and special as you want it to be. She's always equally well adept at taking all of those decisions out of your overwhelmed hands and coming up with her own program for your review if you feel lost and paralyzed by too many options. Francesca had to deal with me from both angles throughout the planning of our wedding, and she was just so lovely and genuine and caring through the whole process. First, when she initially contacted me about ideas, I was too overwhelmed to think about music and I just asked her to create a program for me. She created three different hypothetical programs: the traditional, the modern, and a combo. As the weeks went by and I began to feel like I had a better idea of what I had in mind for the ceremony, I used her programs as a springboard...and then I just completely went off the deep end with music that was perfect for our small gathering but also contained music selections that her group would have to learn from scratch. I was BLOWN away by not only her willingness to think about learning and composing a strings version of music that they had not done before, but her genuine enthusiasm in engaging in that kind of project. Not only that, she gave me the most fantastic idea: she suggested that I ask those really close to me, especially since it was going to be such a small wedding, for their favorite song or music - and when they hear it at the wedding, they will feel that much more connected to the event. It was a brilliant suggestion that showed how experienced she is at these kinds of events and how much she cares about creating a personalized experience for you. Well, that suggestion was just an absolute hit with the small wedding party and each person had a song that they heard that they felt really connected to. I could not have created a more special kind of atmosphere if I had tried. Four months later and I still have guests commenting to me about the wedding music and the music selections during the post-wedding brunch. Bottom line, Caprice Strings is just an incredibly talented group and they really made our wedding day special and one of a kind. read more
