Friend took me to lunch buffet and the Footloose performance. The buffet was very nice with a number of protein choices, salads, sides and desserts. Everything I tried was tasty. Staff brought your drink orders. When it was close to the curtain call they announced it to the dinners. There was a pianist that entertained us during the meal. So nice to go from our dinner right to our seats. The performance was very entertaining and all the seat were good in this intimate theatre. There was an intermission to give us a chance to use the apply facilities. Such a nice idea to offer dinner and a show together. You can buy separate tickets to just the show.

Further walk to the right outside of the sunken garden is the rose and dahlia garden. The dahlia is something else! I've never seen so many in quantity and so many variety in one place! Just gorgeous and they're huge! I tried to take photos with my hands for comparison. A little walk further is the Japanese garden and this is what I call serenity, peace, tranquility. It was so quiet except for the trickle of water and the pond. I can imagine meditating in the Japanese garden. At the end we walked through the English garden and stop at the eatery for their huge bowl of chili and a hot dog and refreshment. My only disappointment was that I was expecting to see a greenhouse of exotic, tropical flowers and plants. They have an abundance of flowers and plants but they were all common variety. To start, the bed and breakfast feels like you stepped out of reality and into the movie "The Holiday." It is cozy, quaint, and quiet in the best way. The rooms are smaller but equipped with what you need. In addition to the ambiance, the breakfast stands out as a highlight. From staying in other BnB's we expected danishes, coffee, etc. They far exceeded those expectations making easily the best quiche I've ever had, apple crumb cake, homemade rhubarb jam and butter and homemade focaccia. I woke up not hungry and ended up eating everything it was so delicious. My only regret of the weekend was booking an early ferry and not being able to enjoy breakfast the second morning. The walking trail on site took you on a nice path along the tree line and the blackberry bushes were taller than me.
