After…read morecalling my insurance company to find out the procedure for scheduling the needed repair/replacement (and what my deductible was), I had an appointment with Safelite to have it replaced Saturday at my home. Technician (William) was prompt, courteous, professional & pretty darn good on how to replace the old windscreen. The whole process took a little over two (2) hours, only because my Mini Coper was being fussy over having the windscreen removed. Once it was removed, William said it would take about 20 minutes to complete & it did... Everything looks great and looks almost like a new car. This is the second time in my driving life that I had to replace a windscreen. (1st time was about 20 years ago or so, also with Safelite.). I'm a happy camper & will easily recommend Safelite again....

Of course now the story changes and he says he doesn't have enough time to complete it but note he called me at 1:30pm . So of course he was full of it. They call me back and try to reschedule again. I would let these incompetent people touch my truck if it was free. They must delete all the bad reviews because they stink.

I had to tell the local manager that I did not want new wipers despite his HARD SELL. 2. Between the three people working, none of them called me to tell me the work had been completed. Instead of 2 hours, it took 6 hours to get my vehicle back. Forcing both me and my daughter to take two full days off from work. 3. I could not call the local branch where the work was being done because they have no published phone number. When I called the main Safelite number the call auto-disconnected after the automated system told me to hold for a representative. I finally had to use the online chat to find out that the work had been completed. With an obnoxious "sorry for the inconvenience". 4. The $495 recalibration only has a 30 guarantee ...which you don't find out until after the work is completed. So after 30 days, there's nothing to say that the $495 recalibration is still valid. Does that seem right to anyone? Most of my disgust is due to decisions made at a corporate level. I'd take their business license away if I could. ...and much worse.

Also, many reviews speak on how friendly Moe was with them. With me, he was stoic and did not give off the same friendly, warm vibes I read of in the comments. When I left, he kind of just gave a half wave and didn't bother asking how I liked the work, if everything was fine ... Nothing. (However, Moe's assistant was such a nice person. She even took the time to show me how a product looked on her vehicle before I decided if I wanted it on mine or not.) I will also mention, I am clearly not Caucasian. Mike told me on no less than eight different phone conversations that he would be giving me a refund as soon as he could but times were very difficult. I told him he could pay me $100 or $200 a week that it doesn't matter as long as we get the refund, whatever was easier for him. He kept telling me to call him tomorrow this happened over and over again. It is not OK to steal peoples money especially $1000. That is a lot of money for a lot of people , we've literally been playing this game of back-and-forth for two months before I decided to write this review.
