Capizzis Italian Kitchen is slightly pricy but very good. The worst thing which can be said for Capizzis is for the price they should include a side salad with every dish. We were in Paris for the Tour de Paris Bike ride so we picked this place for our celebratory dinner. We were very impressed! Our group of 3 started with beer, wine and calamari which was delicious! We then had salads with homemade dressings: I highly recommend the Italian dressing. 2 of us shared a large pepperoni pizza and 1 of us had the chicken and shrimp pasta dish with jalapeños. We all kind of "shared". Everything was so yummy! The homemade rolls and butter are also very good! The service is incredible- someone is always refilling tea and water. Loved this place! read more

I am a vegetarian and in a place like Paris Texas, it is not easy to find many vegetarian dishes except fries and such. This restaurant however had a few options for me. To start off, Capizzi's serves garlic bread with butter as a complimentary dish, which is very soft and delicious As my main course , I ordered the cheese spinach lasagne. Nice restaurant and a hard working crew. The food is tasty. We have eaten their catering for the Chamber of Commerce - Tour d Paris bicycle rally. They provide a good catering service. Very good. It isn't that easy to find good Italian food in Texas, especially when you aren't in one of the big cities. I had the calzone lunch special. For under $8, it was a giant calzone and a salad with good house Italian dressing. I'll come back and try something else the next time I'm in town. I was in Paris for business and was driving around town and came across this place. As a native Italian New Yorker, I'm usually hesitant to stop for Italian food (after several bad experiences) but this place was different. We ordered the fried ravioli, eggplant rollatini, and the chicken francese. Everything was delicious!! The staff were so sweet and friendly, place was clean, and food was delicious. The chicken parm was great. The marinara on the spagetti and lasagne was a little dark, so I was nervous since it was different from what I was used to. But, it ended up being a great, robust flavor that was just perfect. The kids were not a huge fan of the pizza, but it looked good to me and my kids are super picky. Capizzi's is one of our top 3 favorite eateries in town & actually one of only 3 places we really ever eat at. They have daily specials for both lunch & dinner & the owners are friendly & consistant in providing quality food every day. The Chicken Carciofo is my personal favorite & the garlic rolls they serve w/ every meal are amazing! Small & intimate, you might overhear other conversations but it's such a friendly atmosphere we never really mind. A great place to take the family, they have the best homemade pizza in town & you can order by the slice so everyone is happy! Try the pesto salad for something different of the eggplant sub for a lunch on the run, I always make 2 meals out of it or share with my daughter who is a huge Capizzi's fan! Moved back to Paris about 8 years ago. Loved Capizzi's. Haven't been there in about a year. Went tonight and it was Very disappointing. Had fried mushrooms and Linguine carbonara. Mushrooms are obviously purchased pre battered and frozen. The linguini had no flavor, just bland. Unfortunately this the only Italian restaurant in town. My wife and I were looking for something local and found this place after taking out obligatory picture in front of the Eiffel Tower. Small restaurant that looked like it took over an old Pizza Hut building. The service was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the Tuesday special which was baked ziti and another dish that I cant remember the name, but is was sautéed chicken in a cream sauce with mushrooms and artichokes served with a size of spaghetti noodles. We did not like the ziti at all. Why the five stars then? First the service was great, they removed the ziti from our check without asking. Second, the chicken with cream sauce dish I described was absolutely delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a casual and affordable place with very good food. Maybe it was a bad day but the food was terrible, my calzone sucked and my wife was ill after eating their Alfredo. Not saying that's what made her sick, just that she was.
