I mainly see Megan who is fantastic and she's going through the same injury as me and it's nice knowing someone that's going through it too and seeing the progress with her! I've also seen Justin and Nick when I can't get in with Megan. My only complaint is the building isn't handicap friendly..there's not a button to open the door so I have to struggle with the door to the building but then the elevator is super easy!

She called to tell me I needed prior authorization before getting an appointment/treatment and was incredibly unhelpful in explaining how to do this (and as it turns out, gave me totally the wrong instructions on how to do it). After WEEKS of going around with my Dr's office and my insurance, it turns out I DID NOT need a prior auth. (Something I told her, she fought with me, and INSISTED I did, while also refusing to double check herself!). So I have had to endure FOUR extra WEEKS of unnecessary agony thanks to her incompetence. I am a full time teacher and don't have loads of time to be chasing down wrong insurance information. Additionally, when she calls, instead of identifying herself, the bare minimum of professional courtesy, she just asks abruptly, "Is this so and so" and only then identifies herself. In this day of scam/spam calls, a professional should first identify themselves. I have heard great things about this PT office, but they lost a prospective patient after this experience. I refuse to deal with this level of carelessness and rude behavior when it comes to my health. Unbelievable.

I was warned in advance that this would be the case. Once I was in the room to be seen a super nice tech took me back for x-rays. When I called to get an appt I immediately received an email to create an account in My Chart, which I did. What is going on in a huge medical practice when you make an appt only to find out you haven't? I work full time also and had scheduled right after I made the appt to leave work at noon so I could go home and get a bite to eat before I had to go across town. I am 66 yrs and have NEVER scheduled an appt at any Drs office only to find out it was NEVER put in the system. Incompetence....

They will if your regime calls for it, but this is functional manual therapy. They have to release my myofascial pain, and do trigger point release. The other PT was old school and had no idea what I was even talking about. These people here knew just what to do. They have other modalities like dry needling (not covered by insurance), and low level laser therapy. They give you some exercises that you can do at home, but you don't spend 45 minutes doing just that, without the release. There are only 3 places in town that do this kind of PT, and one is on Patterson Ave and the other is in Chesterfield County. Many of the patients here have gone for years because they are getting the relief that they can't get elsewhere. Had originally posted a poor review due to the temperature reading equipment during COVID-19 pandemic not working or staff not correctly using it, but that has been remedied. They are no longer use the ear thermometer which was not accurate, but now using the one you point at the forehead and that's on the money every time. The therapists are very knowledgeable. They do dry needle therapy, which I haven't tried yet, but I hear Tracey Adler is amazing. So far they have treated me by releasing my trigger points. The front desk staff is also very kind, I am always greeted, and they are always willing to work with me on scheduling. My first appointment was an external exam, then for my second appointment they did an internal exam. Lauren checked my movement ranges and informed me that my neck turning ranges were significantly below standard levels. I knew that my neck was tight, but had not realized how far off my neck was from being able to turn side to side like most people. For years I regularly tried to expand my range without luck. To my amazement, Lauren showed me a few techniques that I had never heard of including nerve flossing, and I was suddenly able to move my head another 20+ degrees! She also helped cure my rotator cuff injury with specific exercises I had never seen before and could do at home. Thankfully my shoulder is essentially trouble free now and I have full range of movement with my neck. You owe it to yourself to give Lauren a try for any physical therapy needs!

I was hesitant at first but after visiting their website, reading reviews, and listening to several people tell me great things about it. I made an appointment. After my first appointment I was hooked! Dr. Sam is incredibly friendly, professional, polite and extremely knowledgeable, he helped breakdown what I was feeling, what he would be doing in each session and then where I might be sore or feel some pain the next day - he was SPOT ON with each. He is careful with his movements and really walks you through everything. I worked with Mel as well and she was extremely helpful in helping me work through some of the exercises, some modifications, and to help with next steps. Both were extremely patient with the number of questions I asked - which was A LOT! Dr. Sam is also incredibly accessible, he gave me his card during my first appointment and reiterated several times that I could reach him by phone, text or email. I did have some questions after my first appointment (about 24 hrs later), I sent him a quick email and responded within the hour with advice, suggestions, and recommendations. The work he did and the resources/exercises they gave me after only two sessions has cleared up my pain and they have assured me that if I stick with the exercises and listen to the warning signs I should be good to go. I am extremely happy with the results and highly recommend anyone who is feeling any sort of pain to make an appointment to see Dr. Sam Brinkley!
