Hi Pure Water! Will you please update or post your hours online? I arrived at 6:55 pm on a Friday but it was closed :( But there was a sign outside saying that your Friday hours are until 7:30 pm. I understand that hours tend to change and it would be great if the sign was updated. Apart from that the service is efficient and quick! It's a cash only establishment and the people working there are very helpful with assisting me with refilling the water jugs. If you feel lucky can also pick up a lotto ticket before you leave from the counter or from the machine. read more

Excellent place to buy or refill your water bottle. I would recommend this place to refill your pure drinking water.

I came inside and was refused because I use glass bottles for sustainability. She said she'd charge me per bottle which I don't understand. 5 25fl oz bottles equal 1 gallon. I told her I go outside to do it all the time and she told me to go outside. I'll go somewhere else they're refusing me service. I don't like to use plastics and I shouldn't be charged extra for that read more

This place is closed during shelter-in-place. You can still buy water for $0.25 per gallon outside. Note that it only takes quarters and one dollar bills. read more

I can't believe I haven't wrote a review for this place' I must give this mom/pop water shop a shout out! It is New Years Day '2023, and THEY ARE FREAKEN OPEN! Such hard working people! I asked for their holiday schedule and they told me they open every single day, all holidays. Seriously I am just lost for words, like a water shop open every single day run by older people to provide people like us fresh water to drink everyday... I honestly feel alittle teary writing this cause it just reminds me so much of how hard our parents have to work to provide for their family. I've been a customer for years now since I was a teenager, my mom bought water here and now I am as a parent myself. Just wanted to write a review to let them know we appreciate all their hard work, am thankful to be able to buy water here any day, just admiring these hardworking folks for staying open for people like us that gets the day off and paid for it. They are always smiling and helping me refill my water containers (other places you have to do it yourself) they go out of their way to do it for me and I'm like a young adult I can do it but they insist, I mean just seriously nice, friendly, hardworking people here. And yes, they are the best water shop in San Jose! I recommend them to all my friends and family, even my neighbors lol. Thank you! read more

Clean shop, water doesn't have any weird taste, and the fact that this spot is near my house is a plus.

The lady owner here took a dirty rag on the counter and shoved it in my 5 gallon jug then poured some water in and rinse it without my consent. Not only that, they switched my water jugs with another customer's jugs. Filling the water here and leaving it on the kitchen counter to use and 2 weeks later I noticed green mold inside the 5 gallon water jug. The owner yells and talks loud to other customers. I'm never coming here again. read more

This place is okay. I went here to get water couple of times and most of the time the owner is on the phone. They have one of the worker filling up the water bottles. Some times when I come here I feel like I'm at a temple because the owner plays temple music. Over all the water here taste good. read more

Family has been going here for years - never had issues with them. Clean and fresh water. People are hospitable and nice. There is sometimes a slight language barrier with English, but nothing major. read more

Capitol Pure Water is the cheapest water i've seen, .20cents/gal. u can fill up outside without going into the store. downside is it's hard to find parking, unlike other water stores with designated parking places. read more

The man working here who is one of the employees is a nice guy. The owner who is a middle-aged woman doesn't seem that friendly. I still come to this place since it's nearby my house until I was disturbed at how she mistreated a customer by yelling at them the other day. I decided I'm not going to be returning from then on. read more

I don't come here to get water, but I would come here at times for lottery tickets and scratchers as well. I really like this place, because the worker is so friendly and would always smile and allow me to feel welcome when I come by. read more

Obviously they don't care social distancing ! Employee in her late 40s was right next to me. She even touches me! It was crowded, She refuse me to have social distance according to law when we refill water. they don't disinfect faucets and carts between customers. There were several non customer Asian men socializing talking loudly without mask. There are senior apartment next to the business Hope they don't harm those people read more

HAHAHA, am I seriously reviewing a water place? This place is great, it's 25 cents a gallon, they close at 8:30PM, they almost always have an assistant helping you fill up your jug (no pun intended), and they sometimes have a little dog outside their shop. They always make an effort to clean out your jug prior to actually filling it up, and they wrap the neck of the container with plastic wrap so it stays extra clean and dry. However, do mind that if you come in here and pay at the last minute, the owner has a tendency to complain about you while speaking Vietnamese -- only if you are not Vietnamese. Don't worry, it's not malicious, it's just your typical Vietnamese woman banter. read more

I have been going here for several years now and still go here but it is close by. Only the last time, the guys there did not help me out for some odd reason. Usually they are pretty helpful. I noticed the ladies get more of the attention of the helpers there. I noticed a lot of people not returning the water carts so maybe their service has declined? Been going here since they closed down the Pure Water near my house. Typical water store. Lots of bottles, same reverse osmosis purification from city water. Water tastes good. There is a helper there to assist, parking can be a pain, but there is parking and carts provided. I believe the cost per gallon is 25cents, but I prepay mine. I pay $20 for 100 gallons, ask for a card and they will mark it off as you come in. But just dont lose the card. Right next to Subway, Little Caesars, and Starbucks. read more

I was in the area and decided to check this place out. I usually go get water on the opposite side of town by my house, but figured I would get it done since I was here. As I was walking up a gentleman took the water jug from me, washed the inside and filled it for me. He then wrapped the top and sealed it. He even offered to take it to my car for me. I declined, but loved that he offered. As I was leaving he did the same thing for a gentleman that had just arrived. The place was clean and I didn't notice any smells. I had a horrible experience at Capitol Pure Water. My bottles were dirty & the owner did not want to rinse the bottles. So we decided to leave. The owner grabbed our bottles & started filling them after we told he to stop. He continued & didn't want us to leave & refuse to rinse bottles. We've asked him to stop again. Then owner said they don't rinse bottles. So if owner don't want to rinse then we have the right to go another place to buy water & owner refuse to let us go. Owner grabbed our bottles by the top & won't let us go. That was scary moments. I will not return to this place......please be careful as we had a horrible experience. I have never been dealing with such cheap people like this business owners in my life. When a customer cut a piece of plastic to cover the top cover of the bottle, the owner (husband) kept whining and complaining the plastic cut by the customer too large and costed him money. My wife used 2.5 gallon bottles (stated on the bottles themselves). The owner wife complained the bottles are too large for 2.5 gallons. They measured the bottle and the said the bottles could actually contained 2.7gal instead of 2.5 gal and they want to charge for 0.2 gal of water. Really? If they are that greedy and cheap, I doubt they spend properly on the filter system to purify water. Not recommend. Dealing with them would ruin my day. read more

I constantly go here to refill all 12 of my 1 gallon water jugs, at least once a week. It's hardly ever crowded, the people are nice, especially the old man who helps me out with my jugs, and it's only 25 cents a gallon. read more

This place is the rip-off place. They charged 25 cent a gallon of water when you come in the store. But the outside machine is only 20 cent a gallon. That's 5 cent rip-off for each gallon of that we are drinking. Talked to both lady and the owner about the difference price they both can't answer the questions. They just shut their mouth and ask for the price of 20 cent a gallon.
