I won't be back after going in to cash lottery tickets and then having the manager lecture me and…read moreinterrogate me rather than listen to me and his clerk about the issue that had happened. It started with notifying the clerk really calmly and kindly that their Sprite fountain was empty on flavor. I wasn't mad, I grabbed a bottle version, I thought I was being nice by letting them know. When the clerk told the manager, the manager starts giving me a really intense vibe like I attacked him. I had to repeatedly say I wasn't upset, I was just letting them know, it wasn't a big deal? Don't you want people to tell you so that you can label the fountain? Then the only time I've ever had a problem with scanning lottery tickets in my life. Upon first scan, the clerk told me I had $16 rather than the $70 I had scratched and drawn on Powerball. I was very calm and said it wasn't correct, he went and scanned again, came back with $0 on Powerball and brought back the printed tickets to show me. I told him to bring me the original tickets because I knew it was $50+ wrong. When the manager came over again unsolicited, he got involved and lectured me about how the machine works -- which I already knew, but then he wouldn't just look at the cards which clearly indicated I had won more than what was registering. The clerk was clearly trying to resolve the situation, but was scanning tickets at the same time as someone else and things got crossed -- no problem, except why am I being lectured and having a manager interrogate me and tell me I'm wrong repeatedly. He wouldn't listen to what had happened from either me or the clerk. At one point he told me he was training the clerk, like that's the reason he was being confrontational to me? I just wanted to show them how the receipts and tickets lined up, but the manager held my scratched cards and wouldn't show them to me, grilled me about how many cards and which ones were mine. When the clerk did his calculator, it was evident that I had over $70 to pay out. We both tried to explain what had happened because genuinely, whatever the first scans had done were not registered right, and the manager was pretty confrontational. When I laid them out on the counter with the correct scans, the manager was like "see it's right!" -- I had literally multiple different scans from the clerk and was trying to be helpful in illustrating what went on. I just wanted my money and to get out of there. Again, let me emphasize, *I literally never asked him to fix anything* so he was really intense for no reason. They were about to short me $50 and I wasn't throwing a fit or anything, I'm just trying to show them that something went wrong. After unnecessary stress and being scolded and interrogated, I wouldn't go back here. I'm sure gas station customers can be tough sometimes, I'm sure there's stress and people wanting to "see a manager," but I did not complain, I was not mad. He came on really strong and was projecting something onto me. The clerk was nice and genuinely tried to help me, but I don't want to risk losing $50 and having someone be so aggressive at me when I'm just trying to get my money.
