This does a great job keeping the expected increased noise level of children quelled across the building. Other libraries suffer from this lack of design, so this is a great accommodation for the kids while being mindful of all others in the general space I wish they kept the carpeted ceilings tho lol

Lots of computers for use and I even saw one guy watching a livrary movie on it. Never feels too crowded. I am always worried parking will be a problem, but I have found a close spot everytime I have come. There are homeless who use the facility, but I have never had any issues. None of them seemed to be on anything so security must be monitoring for that.

The Northwest Library has honestly become one of my favorite community spaces in the area because…read morethere's truly something for everyone here. I primarily use the children's area and it's such a well thought out setup. There are several computers with preloaded educational games and activities, tables for coloring and checkers, and even a basket of board games available to use. There's also an indoor play area with lots of pretend play activities that keeps little ones entertained while still feeling educational and creative. Outside, there's an additional play area with shade and seating for parents, which makes a huge difference during Oklahoma weather. One of my favorite touches is that every couple of months one of the librarians creates a new scavenger hunt around the library. It's such a fun and simple way to get kids excited about exploring books and different areas of the library. I've also used their printing services several times and found the process incredibly easy and convenient. You can upload documents directly from your phone by scanning a QR code, which made printing quick and stress-free. Additionally, earlier this year I attended a free yoga class hosted by the library and had a wonderful experience. I genuinely hope they continue offering more adult programming like this because it was such a great community resource. Every staff member I've interacted with has been friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. This library really feels like a true community space rather than just a place to check out books.

There are so many rooms you can go to for studying. I like going to the fourth floor. No one is ever there. They have whiteboards for studying and rooms you can rent. They even have museum artifacts on the second and third floor I believe. It's a great library and the people that work there are always eager to help.

Those desks are first come first serve, and I'm not sure if they are sanitized after each use, but there is sanitizer around the building They have large meeting rooms for events, lectures, seminars, etc and if you're familiar with the OKC Metro Library system then you know they offer tons of these events so check it out on their website. One of the staff members (a man working at the front desk/checkout area) was extremely rude to us. Instead of offering help or speaking politely, he raised his voice and acted disrespectfully when we asked a simple question. It made my family feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Libraries are supposed to be friendly, safe spaces for everyone, but this person's attitude completely ruined the visit. I hope management addresses this behavior so other families don't have to experience the same treatment.

The customer service staff at the front desk are always friendly and helpful. They all seem to enjoy their jobs and enjoy helping people. I would not be able to make my extra side money without their help. They truly go the extra mile. Aside from the staff, the programs, services, and special events at this library are fun and educational and most of them are free. They offer more traditional events like storytelling for kids but they also offer classes for adults where you learn some new skill all for a very low cost. .
