Oddly enough I haven't been inside the Edmond library. However during this pandemic I found myself using online reservation system and curb side pick up. Believe me it is a dream. They developed a fabulous system and follow masking protocols. And can I just say they are so sweet during their brief interaction with you? Yep! I can and I will. Love the ease of obtaining an e-card for reservations. Easy to accomplish and that earns an A+ in my book. read more

This library has provided many wonderful resources this past summer. With great AC, plenty of available computers, quiet reading nooks and desks, printers and copy machines, and many books, I have spent many happy hours here! The staff are masked, and there is a hand sanitizing station right near the entrance. They have a very efficient check out system, and returning books is really easy to do as well. I have noticed different programs for kids going on throughout the summer, as well as various classes for adults, such as one on the Constitution. Also, when I have requested new books to be added to the system, they have often been accommodating and purchased them for me. Overall, a great library and a great place to read/study! read more

The Edmond public library is a great library. The air is always comfortable. They have so many free programs for the community. One of kids wants to sign up for the summer reading program. As a college squatter, I am always on the look out for a comfortable, convenient place to be with my computer. My campus library is ALWAYS packed, I'm just not comfortable here. So, I decided to try the Edmond Library. Great choice! It is a large building. Split into two sides: adult & children. The children's area is absolutely adorable! They welcome you when you walk in the doors and immediately. I went ahead and signed up for a card but note that you do not have to to use their public WiFi! There is a little spot in the back "Teen Spot" and there are multiple tables for people to sit & work. I ended up going in the teen area because it was empty and I love privacy and solitude when I do my work. It was outdated, as is the building but this is totally understandable: it isn't as if they have a huge budget to work with. I mean, there I sat for 5 hours and the only money they got from me was .90 cents for printing. It was nice space though, even had outlets on the table top! Loved that. The employees inside are so cheerful and really seem like they are happy to be there & passionate about their public library. A lady helped me with the printing and she was very patient with my computer that decided to act up ( of course)! My only thing was that it isn't very open which meant each time I had to get up to use the bathroom, print, etc; I had to pack up all my stuff and take it with me. There are a lot of people so I just wasn't comfortable leaving my things out to the public. Overall, great library & loved the seclusion. I will definitely be going back! read more

Why anyone would bother buying books when the library is a free public service is beyond me. The Metropolitan Library system makes it incredibly easy for anyone to become a reader or a learner. If you enjoy audiobooks or ebooks, they have an app that allows you to download your borrowed books straight to your phone. They also have DVDs for those movies that aren't on Netflix. ;) There's no need to worry about late fees because the library will send you a text when your book is coming due. read more

This is Edmond's only public library branch which is chock full of useful services if not abundant in activities. Parking is usually not an issue but slackers both from the college and the church next door have been known risk tickets by taking up library parking from time to time. This is a smaller branch then you might expect given the population and wealth of edmond. The stacks are moderately respectable-the non fiction is terrible(you can always try you luck placing holds from other branches though), but the fiction has some surprising depth.The visual stuff-movies/music are not too shabby and the free wifi is better then most coffee shops. Plenty of cozy seats and tables scattered around and the twelve hour weekday hours are nice as well. There are super quiet study rooms which are perfect for serious studying. If you need a quiet study room it's best to call ahead as they are in high demand. The public bench statue thingy outside makes more sense then any of the statuary the city of edmond has decided to waste taxpayer money on elsewhere downtown (this includes the shannon miller monolith that shares the small park with the library) and the edmond branch has fully embraced RFID automation technology. Checking things out and in are both fully robotized which is kinda interesting to watch. Well the first time anyway. Well done Metropolitan Library System, nice use of public resources. read more

This is the best of the libraries in the metro library system (with the exception of the downtown location). They have an excellent children's section as well as a wide variety of adult books and plenty of meeting rooms if needed. read more

Not a bad place to study and read a book. The setup of the library was organized and very clean. I like that they have separate tables for laptop users and a quiet room for reading. I enjoyed studying here and will definitely come back in the future to study. read more

I'm a big fan of the whole Metro Library system, but I love Edmond Library the most. This is a great place to conduct tutoring sessions, take kids to pick out books, and find some books of your own. The library system offers so many digital services now that you could get a FREE library card and access ebooks, download music, and stream movies at home. read more

I've been going to this library since I was a small child, and it's only gotten better! I moved away and I'm not sure how long ago they remodeled, but the new features are great. I especially love the Quiet Room - no talking, no cell phones, no food or drink - this is probably the quietest public space you'll find in all of Edmond. Free wifi is available throughout the library, and the architects magically saw into the future, and included enough easily-accessible power outlets, so everyone and their cousin can bring their laptops and surf/work away. read more

The Edmond Library is my go-to when looking for a place to study, read or relax. The atmosphere is clean and inviting; usually provides a calm environment for my young son. After their newest remodel, the library looks fantastic. I appreciate that this location incorporates a variety of activities for all ages and am interested in attending their "Mommy and Me" workshops. Overall, the Edmond Library is great and provides a variety of resources, from books to public computer access. Love this place. read more

It has books in it. The people are really nice. We pay at least $100 apiece per year for it through our county taxes. But it is not an "archiving" library, so if you want to donate your favorite books, forget it. They might be sold in a Friends of the Library book sale or thrown in the trash.
