I usually enjoy visiting this library with my family, but our recent experience was very disappointing. One of the staff members (a man working at the front desk/checkout area) was extremely rude to us. Instead of offering help or speaking politely, he raised his voice and acted disrespectfully when we asked a simple question. It made my family feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Libraries are supposed to be friendly, safe spaces for everyone, but this person's attitude completely ruined the visit. I hope management addresses this behavior so other families don't have to experience the same treatment. read more

depends on who is on the desks. they are quite pleasant, knowledgeable about computers and some specialise in copier usage, & new life outside trees and baby birds, geese, swan & ducks, adds to ambiance; but room for improvements. outdoors muck car park and sidewalks because we track it indoors, which invites insects and breeds germs. indoors staff can patrol computer area for grazers/snackers that enjoy breaking rules. and yes, we all know we can contact staff about grazers, come on, we have to remind staff to do their job. read more

The library is very square. It is probably the least exciting library for a new design compared to the others around town since the NW Library was constructed. The landscaping is super cute here, and that makes up for the architectural blah; the window views from inside are mostly outwardly facing the lake and garden pathways Lots of enclosed study rooms and they require a reservation; those can be made easily online on their website. You can also call in to see if they have any last minute cancellations if you need a last minute rsvp. Lots of tables with electrical popups on the surface with usb ports and ac outlets The seating is scattered around and there are desks along the west wall. Those desks are first come first serve, and I'm not sure if they are sanitized after each use, but there is sanitizer around the building They have large meeting rooms for events, lectures, seminars, etc and if you're familiar with the OKC Metro Library system then you know they offer tons of these events so check it out on their website. Lots to do for kids, adults, homeowners, crafters to name a few Lots of parking and easy in and out in several directions. One thing I noticed was terrible cell reception except for a few rooms on the east side while in the building, so if you use your phone as a modem for net access then it may be a challenge read more

Guys, libraries are awesome. I grew up going to the local library in my hometown, but sometime in college between all the homework and required reading, I lost my love for reading. Good news: I found it again, thanks to the Metropolitan Library System! The first time I went to the Bethany Library was to open a card. Just bring your ID and a piece of mail with your address on it and its a very quick and easy process! I mainly wanted to get a library card to utilize the online e-book library to check out books on my kindle. I asked about this when I got my card, and they told me the web page to go to and ensured it was simple. They did mention that if I had trouble I could come back and talk to one of the staff that specializes in the e-library. I was able to figure it out on my own, but its nice to know I have assistance to fall back on if I ever run into trouble. Checking out e-books is very simple and for most books just requires a wifi connection (some you have to connect your device to your computer via USB cable to download the book). Another great aspect of the Metropolitan Library System is that you can request a book from any library to be sent to your library of choice at no charge. Since the Bethany library is so close to my house, it's an awesome feature that makes it easy to check out any book. 5 stars for free books that save me money and a lot of room I don't have to hoard books! read more
