I did have a lovely experience with Dr Thomas but she doesn't provide within my realm of needs at the moment. find a better provider if you have any needs which are at all complex or urgent. they care more about almost everything else other than the patient. read more

I will be fair and say the receptionist was great. I wish I got her name. Outside of that, I would rather a body part fall off before I step foot back in this place. Care providers wee ok- nothing great nothing terrible. As others have said, their billing practices are obnoxiously bad. When you can't pay for a service in person...strange. When you can't us the QR code on the bill to pay the bill because it is "not found" ..weird. When you call both the in office billing and the 800 billing number multiple times and can't get hold of a person so you can pay the bill..getting ridiculous. When you finally get hold of someone in billing and they tell you you have zero balance and nothing showing in collections and to call the service provider back and disregard any further bill - shocking. THEN to get mail from collections for the same "nonexistent" bill and call billing back just be told that actually it did get sent to collections then get hung up on when you ask for clarification is just bad business. It should be simple to pay so to have to pay an additional amount just to be done and get some peace is just terrible business practice. it seems as though you need new billing practices as in all my years I have never had to jump through so many hoops and STILL have penalties. READ REVIEWS BEFORE YOU SCHEDULE!!!! Okay, I came in because I had two periods that practically almost killed me probably because I am a bit underweight. I can't remember the name of the woman I saw, but I told her that I needed to get a handle on the pain (for my next period) for me to gain some weight. The pain has been so bad that the second I start to bleed that I can't keep food or water down for several days (not helpful for weight gain). This experience causes me to have severe nausea for about a week from the time I start bleeding. I explained that I am about to turn 30, I am married, I don't want children, and that I have tried many different forms of birth control in the past decade and they have all made me sick. I told her that my husband is 63 and has already had kids and that he is fixed. Her solution was to prescribe me BIRTH CONTROL. Yeah... I wasted $130 and I will not be back. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. Listen to your patients you incompetent people. Stop prescribing us birth control to make Big Pharma richer. It's not the solution and I'll be getting my tubes removed. read more

Terrible Place! The doctor wrote the wrong code for an ordinary blood test (the doctor mistakenly coded as an Experimental Blood Test) which my insurance company explained, "We don't pay for "experimental" anything. The insurance company told me to go back to the doctor and have them resubmit the blood test under the right code and it would then get paid for. Went back to the clinic, they blamed it on the company performing the blood test results and refused to help. They really couldn't care less an I ended up paying for the blood test out of pocket. If you can't even get the simple codes right to ensure my insurance will pay, how am I supposed to trust they get the hard stuff right like proper medical treatment? I've been coming to this practice since I moved to the Frederick area in 2018, and it's not because I really wanted to but essentially because there wasn't a closer option. I agree with the other posts that Dr. Lee is inappropriate. I recall not particularly liking a comment that he made to me during my first visit 4 years ago. Most recently I've had to go here because of my pregnancy. One of my biggest complaints is the time it takes for them to complete a doctor's appointment. Every visit I went to during my pregnancy, I literally would spend at least an hour at the office. This is ridiculous when I arrive on time, and the time spent in the room with the doctor is less than 5 minutes. Most of the time was spent waiting to be seen. The other complaint that I have is, when I first began going to my prenatal appointments took a while for CWC and Maryland Perinatal Associates to coordinate my visits. At one point, they couldn't figure out who and when I was supposed to be seen because, of conflicting notes. I recall someone asking me if I knew, and I told them "no" and that I was going by my appointment cards. I don't have access to see what they see in my chart, and this miscommunication went on for weeks. It wasn't until my 34 week appointment that I was fed up, and we finally straightened it out. One another occasion, I remember having a late appointment, and one of the doctor's asked me, "where did you come from?" She hurried me out of that appointment so fast that my head was spinning! On the other hand, I will say the staff is nice and very friendly and very helpful! They've helped me scheduling and getting appointments when I needed them. Also, the Ultrasound Technicians, Brittany and Dana were super nice, and I enjoyed talking to them during my visits! They both completed my ultrasounds during the final weeks of my pregnancy. Also, some of the Obstetrics Physicians that recommend and really liked, and had a pleasant interaction with were Dr. Brian Heyman, Dr. Amy Heyman, Dr. Adachi, and Dr. Toufo. They were all wonderful. For instance, there was a scare during my pregnancy at 37 weeks (if I'm not mistaken) where my baby wasn't moving during my weekly check up, and Dr. Adachi sent me to the Labor & Delivery to have them monitor him. My baby ended up passing the tests there, but I'm so glad the the physician was cautious and wanted to ensure that he was ok. Dr. Brian Heyman was friendly and always professional, and he was the physician that performed my baby's circumcision. Finally, Dr. Toufo, delivered my baby, and she was also always professional and clear in her information and instructions the day before my scheduled surgery, as well as, the day of. Overall, if there were another option, I likely wouldn't come to this practice. However, because it is the closest to me, and some of my areas of complaints can be rectified with attention applied to them. I recommend being selective in Physicians that you see, and I know that I will going forward because, I have no choice but to continue to go to this practice. I hesitated to write this review but considering that other patients have described the male doctors at this practice as inappropriate I want to lift my experience. I sought care after a small cyst which turned out to be a vulvar boil or a clogged duct (still not exactly sure) showed up. These are quite common but pretty concerning as I had never had one before and naturally your mind jumps to the worst case scenario, i.e. STD or worse. I mention this because I'm sitting in the exam room, very freaked out and in walks Dr. Lee. The first thing he says is "Who have you been fooling around with?" Great "joke" doc. Sooo professional. I echo others sentiments that he is incredibly condescending, I didn't feel like my concerns were heard. If anything it was as if I was an annoyance he needed to get through as quickly as possible. read more

Honestly, this is a really crappy place to go to. Not very kind. I told them I got my period when I was 13, and have not gotten it since. As a 22 year old, I still don't get it. I've asked to get tests and they said not to worry about it. I don't know if they're lazy, but I've talked to friends in the medical field and they said it's not right. I've had an IUD for three years, but all of my friend who have the same IUD still get their periods. I don't understand what's the issue in getting tested for imbalances or infections or cysts. I would like to have kids in the future, but I might not be able to because I've been complaining for years, and they keep brushing it off. They don't care. They won't care about you either. This facility is the worst and are utter crooks! I visited their office in March 2023 for an annual visit which went well but then the provider asked me what else is going on so I told her about an issue that their office had referred me to a specialist for treatment last year. I was well aware of what is going on with me because I was being actively treated for it. However as she asked, I obliged with an answer. If I had know i would have been charged for that, I would have told her "nope! everything is fine!" Their awful office manager referred to signs placed in the office and could not answer me when I asked her what fell outside the scope of an annual visit. She totally disregard me when I said it was incumbent on the provider to have informed me that if she gives me any other information, I would have been charged. I will not be going back! read more

Absolute worst place you can go to care for you during pregnancy. Their doctors don't have enough confidence in themselves to even deliver a healthy mother and thriving baby. I have been going to Capital Womens Care since my first pregnancy which was in 2003 and Dr. Lee delivered two of my babies and almost my third. I have nothing bad to say about any of these doctors it must of been an emotional day for these ladies and assumed the worst. Dr. B is great as well.. The billing department used an older insurance policy to bill my appointment. When they were provided with the correct subscriber number, they continued to bill the old information. I called to schedule an appointment and they refused because I'm in "collections" due to their own mistake. Not only did I give them my correct card upon my appointment, I followed up months later to provide the correct information again to correct the billing issue. Called today for an appointment, after a 90 minutes on the phone with their Scheduler... Then collections ... then Insurance ...Then Billing w/Insurance ...Then scheduling again ... then billing again ... only to be told that I am the one that needs to file this claim because Insurance is going to deny. What the what? They make mistakes and I have to pay for them. I don't think so. I would highly recommend not going here because of the BILLING DEPARTMENT MANAGER and Incompentence to bill the correct insurance. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I relocated to the area and was recommended this facility by two of my husbands family members. Not only is the front staff rude but the doctors are rude and condescending. Half of them do not even introduce themselves when you walk in. Bedside manner is severely lacking and so is organization in the office. Let's not talk about if you have a specific time for your appointment and how you wait 45 minutes to an hour each time. I decided to continue there once I found out I was pregnant which was a huge mistake. The day I showed up at the hospital sick and the rudest doctor in the practice was there I should've turned around and gone to the vets office I would've been better off. Dr. Lee was extremely rude and made very condescending remarks to me. I was already hesitant about seeing a male doctor and this just confirmed that I will absolutely never do that again. I went to talk to him about how my birth control was causing me poor mental health and wanted to see what other options I had. He was completely dismissive of my concerns about depression and told me to "exercise more". When I couldn't remember the name of my childhood primary doctor he acted like I was brain dead and stupid. He made me feel idiotic. I was terrified to go to CWC due to the reviews. I mean, wow.... There are so many bad ones. Well, I ended up not having much of a choice. I had been to the ER for excessive bleeding with fairly large blood clots(not my cycle) I've never had an irregular cycle before and my husband and I are ttc, so it alarmed me. ER told me notta, sent me on my way(kindly). 2 days later, still bleeding; I needed to see an OBGYN and I'd have to take my chances with CWC, because it's so last minute and not much else to choose from. I called the Mt Airy location even though Frederick is closer, because most of the bad reviews were against the Frederick location. The young lady was super helpful and sweet. She told me the soonest appointment that would work for me was Dr. Bienkowski in Frederick. I'm like "ugh.... There are so many bad reviews at that location and against every single Dr there" but I needed to know what was going on, I was willing to take the chance. Plus... I've also rarely experienced the awful experiences that others have in other reviews, so I was going in with a positive mindset. So my appointment was at 8am this am. I was there a couple minutes early, was greeted and was asked to self check In. Within a matter of 5-10 minutes tops they had me in the back. The nurses that helped me get weighed in and situated were very kind and professional. The Dr came in, and I explained what was going on. He was very attentive, but matter of fact (which I appreciate) he took a look under the hood and just like that, after 5 straight days of being bed ridden due to bleeding, there was no more and it's now 8pm the night of my visit. He had me get a sonogram to make sure he wasn't missing anything and I truly appreciated that. My husband and I are trying for our first child, but I'm 37 and he is 40, so I appreciate him taking the extra care to be certain it was nothing worse than just irregular bleeding. I also spoke on a very sensitive subject for me and as I shed a few tears, Dr Bienkowski shared a personal story and showed me so much empathy. I could tell he was busy, but he allowed me to have that emotional moment and did not dismiss me nor it. I personally did not have a bad experience my entire visit. Request a female doctor or you'll be stuck with one of their creepy male doctors. I would recommend seeing someone other than Dr Lee, the experience I had with him during my check up was uncomfortable and I left feeling violated. They also won't fill your birth control prescription unless you come in yearly for check ups. read more

If I could rate it a zero I would. Several months ago I went in to see Dr. Miller about my irregular periods and what not. I mentioned nausea, diarrhea, very severe cramps, migraines, etc. And we discussed everything except my period; from seeing a psychologist to seeing a therapist to seeing an ENT for allergies (unrelated btw). Out of all the doctors I've encountered, I have NEVER been more frustrated and UNHEARD in my entire life. She of course jumped on trying to get me to try yet another birth control (I've then tried all the oral pills out there.) I said that other birth controls didn't work out because they made me feel so emotional and crazy and have moods wings. She said that's unheard of and absolutely impossible. "I don't see how the birth control can make you feel like that...that's impossible." She said there's other methods of birth control and if I don't want something implanted then I'm out of luck. I would never refer anyone there if they want a chance to be HEARD and UNDERSTOOD. She was so DISMISSIVE of my symptoms that there wasn't even a point in explaining them any more because she wouldn't listen. They LACKED BEDSIDE MANNERS big time. I never felt so disgusted by the the lack of bedside manners; that's a huge part of nursing that shouldn't just get skipped along. Let's not forget the staff was rude and unhelpful, also dismissive of any questions or concerns... like it's some sort of BIG INCONVENIENCE for them. Also, Ms. Silvia showed to my wife an arrogant and rude attitude, and we are acknowledged that this lady speaks fluent Spanish. Saw Leah Howell, C.R.N.P. for pelvic pain for about 1-2 weeks. I saw her hoping to get an answer and some relief. She did all the work-up she felt would be necessary for whatever reasons, without any explanation as to why. Nothing was ever explained to me. All I got was that we didn't really find anything. The whole reason why I went there: Pelvic Pain wasn't acknowledged and when I asked what should I do about the pelvic pain. (because she gave me no answers) I got a typical generic physician response of just use Advil. Come back and see us if worse or not getting better. Horrible experience of medical gaslighting! The healthcare system needs to do better! Stop ignoring people's pain and they should KNOW as medical professionals that every body is different! You can squeeze us all into typical categories, that if we don't fit then we are not acknowledged and our symptoms are downplayed or blown off! read more

I scheduled an appointment for HRT and was told I had to travel to a different office for that doctor. Once there, they had no indication I was there for HRT and thought the appointment was for an annual exam. So, I rescheduled the HRT consult for an entirely different office, paid my 50.00 dollar co-pay to see the 'HRT Guru' Dr Schipper for a consult. After a painful 20 minute sales pitch about pellet HRT combined with unsolicited and unwelcomed life coaching, he asks 'How many children have you been blessed with?' None - None Dr. Schipper - I'm still shaking off the painful emotions that question elicited. Shame on you for not reading my chart and knowing that, shame on you for not discussing any potential negative side effects of pellet HRT that could worsen preexisting conditions and lastly shame on you for the disregard of societal norms regarding social distance. Lastly, one would think THAT was my consult, right? No. I was to make yet 1 more appointment for that - out of pocket expenses for the next one. If I could give this office a zero, I would. I liked the doctors ok but the staff scares the HECK out of me. First, I went in for a minor surgical procedure. The doctor had prescribed medication for the procedure, but the script had been called in at half the strength. When I called in, the NURSE said not to worry, some women didn't need it at all. Well, you can guess what happened: it was one of the most painful things I have ever experienced! Then, the HIPPA issue. I got in the mail a letter it was time for my mammogram. Only the order attached was for someone else! Incredible! I was going to go back one last time to talk all my concerns over with Dr. Benkowski because I liked him. However; the absolute final straw was I had made an appointment, but got a text and auto call saying that my appointment for the next day had been cancelled. I called to speak with the practice administrator, but she was busy again (I had called her twice before to talk these things over). The receptionist asked me if I wanted to keep my appointment the next day, but I told her THEY HAD ALREADY CANCELLED IT THEMSELVES!!!! I'm done. I called the medical board and and found out how to file a compliant. They're going to get an ear full. read more

1. office called into pharmacy incorrect strength of a medication, making a procedure very painful. 2. prior to procedure, staff was not prepared so I had to wait on the exam table while proper instruments were found through drawers that were clearly in disarray. 3. Records faxed over to the office were lost - on two occasions 4. Received an order in the mail for a mammogram for a different patient. 5. Latest fiasco: Although it was critical that I have lab results (I was going to an oncologist the next day) no one would provide them to me. It was only until I threatened to come up and wait for test results if it took all day did a nurse come on and told me the results. The results had actually been received and a medication called in already (to the wrong pharmacy no less) . I was just never notified. 6.. the staff there is just very unpleasant and disorganized, and the doctor I saw made excuses for them. As a licensed business professional myself, this lackadaisical attitude makes me question many things about that office. read more

Awful place, stay away!!!! We were treated terribly!!!! Disrespectful and rude staff. My 16 year old daughter (who has never been to see a female doctor before) had an infection and was refused service because we were 5 minutes late. Went to the kiosk to check in and had a problem, by the time I made it back to the front desk I was informed we would have to reschedule because we were 11 minutes late. I informed the front desk person that my daughter was in need of urgent care and didn't need a full exam, just medication and asked to speak to the doctor. Another very rude front office person came out and informed me and my daughter that we had to leave the office right away. I pleaded with her to no avail (I mean seriously my daughter needed to be seen.....by anyone....another doctor) but no. Wound up taking her to her primary care doctor at Monocacy Helath Partners (which I do recommend). Just as I thought in and out in 5 minutes, no exam needed just medication. I have never been treated so terribly by an office before in my life. Additionally, I am way out of money as I lost time from work, had to pay for another appointment and medication. Also reported the incident to their main headqarters customer services and they didn't care. Do not ever go here! read more

I called CWC on 97 Thomas Johnson. I was immediately greeted with a "Hold, Please" by a very sweet sounding woman. Shortly after I was put on the phone with BETH. She sounded very nice at the beginning of our conversation, that is until I mentioned my insurance...which obviously is not the greatest, but IS taken at CWC. Her attitude shifted quite quickly. I told her my medical need and that I needed to make an appt., I was put on hold again. She came back on the line and said word for word..."WE DONT HAVE TIME TO COVER WHAT YOU NEED, AND WE DONT REALLY TAKE YOUR INSURANSE. ITD BE BETTER IF YOU WENT ELSEWHERE". I called back shortly and requested a different receptionist, other than BETH. Penny. She told me why they weren't able to take my insurance for what I needed, which was a step ahead from what happened earlier. Seems I had to pull any answers out of them that I needed, they don't really seem to care about helping much if they think you're a waste of time because their company isn't making much money off of your insurance. I have never felt so disrespected in my life. I always hear that one CWC is better than the other on TJ drive, but honestly...both of them are a sad joke. Your receptionists set the tone for your business, maybe you should find some that actually give respect and greet with a positive attitude. IF I COULD GIVE THIS 0 STARS, YOU BET I WOULD. read more

I have been treated by three different doctors at this practice. Dr. Brian Hayman ordered a biopsy of my uterus. Dr. Bienkowsky performed the test on 12/15/17. By 12/21/17, I was back in the office because my test results show I have uterine cancer. That same day, Deidre had scheduled an appointment with a gynecological oncologist at John Hopkins Hospital. I have only good things to say about the staff and treatment I have received at this location. One of the scheduling nurses even gave me her personal cell phone number to contact her if I needed anything or have any questions. This nurse has seen the same doctor I was referred to and has the upmost respect for this doctor as did Dr. Bienkowsky. They are wonderful people! read more

I normally see Dr. Schipper who I've never had an issue with. Today I saw Dr. Lee, worst experience ever. He spent the entire appointment saying I need to drink more water and less caffinee, stop eating fried foods, check my cholesterol, and work out more. I only drink water and don't touch caffinee, I don't eat fried or oily foods, my cholesterol was checked maybe a month ago and is fine, I have a disability that makes it so I cannot sit or stand for more that 20-30 minutes at a time. All facts I kept saying, but nope, he just kept repeating himself. Funny thing is my total loss of a period (not pregnant and too young for metopause) he had no opinion on and refused to even address. So in summary he has an opinion on everything BUT what his job concerns. Switching practices if I cannot be assured I will never see Dr. Lee again. read more

I had an ok experience with CWC during my first pregnancy in 2012/2013. Typically was seen quickly and had an overall healthy pregnancy. My second pregnancy in 2016 was plain horrible! In three years the whole practice went to hell, I had to wait forever to be seen at my appointment times and had a sudden change in insurance and they kept charging the wrong insurance (even though at EVERY appointment I'd give them my new card AND would call and dispute charges regularly) they ended up dismissing me over failure to pay (at 34 weeks!) and when I finally found a doctor willing to take me on so late in a pregnancy I had to FIGHT to get my medical files sent over (which took MULTIPLE calls from both me and my new office) read more

I was dropped as a patient for "failure to follow medical recommendations" after 21 weeks when all recommendations have been followed. After calling and asking what the reason was, their reasoning was because I had not been to a psychiatrist. Ironic it's immediately after submitting a survey about having a bad experience at my last appointment. The dr that had me dropped (Dr. Williams) had only been seen one time as an emergency. It is extremely disappointing that a practice is this dismissive of mental health. There are insurance companies that do not cover mental health. There are medical hormonal issues that antidepressants can treat and it does not mean someone needs a psychiatrist. There are women who may not know they are dealing with post partum depression and they would rather refer people out and drop them if they do not get help than actually help their patients. On top of that, my anatomy scan was cancelled prior to making sure I had found adequate medical care. An anatomy scan needs done by 22 weeks and I was dropped at 21 weeks. You would think that when it's a high risk pregnancy and the mom and baby are both heavily at risk, there would be some understanding that depression and anxiety during pregnancy might be high. I wish I had read more of these reviews prior to even joining this practice. And I should have taken the rudeness of the front desk receptionists as an indicator of how their practice operates. If you're pregnant and looking for an OB, I'd look elsewhere if you have the option. While I found the nursing staff and MOST of the doctors to be professional, helpful and friendly, I had an awful experience with Dr. Thomas-Spencer. She was extremely condescending and directly contradicted my high-risk OB who managed my pre-gestational condition throughout my pregnancy. If I were to become pregnant again I would go anywhere but CWC, no matter how inconvenient. It's stressful enough going through a high-risk pregnancy without unwarranted negativity--particularly from someone who is responsible for your and your baby's well-being. Additionally, while some might find the many OBs at this practice to be a positive, I found it stressful not knowing who would be delivering my baby when the day came because it could have been any one of 6-8 doctors depending on who was on-call that day. There's much more of a cold, corporate vibe than a warm and supportive one that I'd prefer from any health provider. read more

Emotion of my experience aside, the experience wasn't horrible but I wouldn't recommend it if you asked me. I found out I was pregnant with a home test, and decided to go to CWC after being new to the area. Since my period was irregular, my experience was... different. I went in 6 times for blood work and was never told that my slow raising HCG was a problem, and I was likely going to miscarry. I was never truly given solid information, or really even solid confirmation that I was pregnant, other than my HCG being over 25. Sure enough, my 8-10 week ultrasound went HORRIBLE. The ultrasound itself was easy, and the tech didn't lead on that this was not going to be a good visit. The doctor and nurse had HORRIBLE bedside manor when giving me this news. I did however, experience that the front and back desk staff was also HORRIBLE, and truly did not care to help you, or even acknowledge your existence. The lab ladies, ultrasound techs and *some* of the doctors were great! I saw a NP after I miscarried who was AMAZING. This place is a total hit or miss. read more

I went to see Dr. Bienkoski, based on a recommendation from my primary care doctor - she said he was a great guy, very knowledgeable, and wouldn't make me feel uncomfortable talking about womens' issues. I needed a gyn because a CT of my lower chest and abdomen showed what RIA (Radiology Imaging Associates) called Leiomyomatous Uterus - meaning uterine fibroids. He *was* personable - I'll give him that. But I didn't feel good about the pelvic exam he did because I left feeling quite stupid for not knowing the diagnosis wasn't helpful without a sonogram to show the quantity and size of the fibroids. Why couldn't he, or his office staff have told me before the appointment that I should have the sonogram first? Especially because they can't do one at this office - no equipment - which necessitated another appointment at the office on Thomas Johnson drive, three weeks later. That's three weeks I had to stew about an issue that's potentially very serious! No mention was ever made of giving me a script to go have the sonogram done elsewhere, so he could review the results more quickly. And I didn't think to ask for one because I was too worried. He also advocated a hysterectomy if the sonogram results showed fibroids, and didn't seem to want to discuss uterine artery embolization or myomectomy, both of which are valid, less intrusive methods for dealing with fibroids that don't include removing an organ! Even with these misgivings, I booked a sonogram appointment at the Thomas Johnson facility, figuring I'd at least have the results to show another doctor. I would only go to this practice if it's your very last option. Doctor Pascale Duroseau is a horrible doctor, and does not advocate for motherhood, and the community. She made me feel like I was an idiot for advocating my birth plan, and also mocked it. She was extremely rude and did not respect nor listen to my wishes concerning my baby. She got upset and would over talk me due to the fact she did not agree with my wishes, medically coerced me into getting a glucose test after I told her I was not comfortable with drinking the sugary glucose drink that has many chemicals with a bunch of sugar in it, told me "I have to do" certain things when I deliver my baby because of "their policy". Legally women have birth rights, and I felt like she stripped me from my rights, and mentally made me feel like I was uneducated due to the way she behaved. I asked for everything to be written and also signed that she declined to respect my wishes for legal purposes just like when a patient declines a test/procedure we have to write and sign for legal purposes, she got up and walked out of the room angrily without writing or signing anything. She was very rude, unprofessional, and distrusting. Please do not go to this doctor or office unless you want to feel unheard, uneducated, and medically coerced. read more

Terrible service by everyone in the office to include the office staff. They tell you to be there at 815 but the doors are still locked. The receptionist just looks at you through the doors while you stand outside. The doctors take for ever and they do not take your inquiries or request serious. read more

Being new to Medicare, I was told by my GYN doctor's office that my rountine GYN exam would be covered by Medicare. Medicare did cover my exam. Five months later, Capital Women's Care submitted another claim to Medicare for $410.00 under code 99387 titled "Initial new patient preventive medicine evaluation, age 65 years and older." Medicare denied this claim so they billed me for the money. I called them to dispute this bill. Then they told me that I only owed $145.00. I told them I wasn't going to pay that either and I would appeal this charge. They replied that they would look into it and asked me to call back in a week. I called back in a week and they told me that the charge was dropped and I owe nothing. I have no complaint against my GYN doctor nor his office staff, but BEWARE of Capital Women's Care's billing practices. I feel this was a fraudulent claim and they were probably hoping that I would be like some people and just pay the bill with no questions asked. BEWARE and ask questions or you may be paying more than you owe too!! read more

I came here from another practice in my hometown, which is out of state. And it's night and day difference. First off, I HATE how you aren't assigned to one OB. It makes it very impersonal, and there's something to be said about continuity of care. The practice is so large that you feel like you're just a number. The dr's are definitely stretched too thin with their schedules. And typically you wait forever, and it just feels rushed and impersonal. The ultrasonographers have all been wonderful. But I'm not a fan of the practice. I'm looking forward to the pregnancy being over so that I don't have to come routinely. If I didn't have a job I would've opted to fly back home towards the end just to deliver. I'll revamp my review if the delivery process goes smoothly. But because I'm not incredibly comfortable with the practice I don't feel 100% comfortable with delivery. And that's something I shouldn't have to stress about. The other thing I like to mention is that they don't do routine cervical checks towards the end, which I think is so important! So I don't like that. There's been a cpl other hiccups/issues here and there... But those are the main points. (And I'm not a complainer typically!) read more
