It's a good school, but not worth the money. Expensive and none of the buildings are modern.

Let me tell you from the start so when I was making my schedule, they do not help you make your…read moreschedule at all even if you were deaf they don't care they want you to do it on your own so that they say like a few if they help you so that they can't fall back on well the teacher said that don't matter they did not help make your schedule so when I finally got my classes and I figured it out on my own. I had two classes and anytime I was making the classes they would be overlapping so finally I got my schedule advisor said it's two classes and everything's good. I'm in the right classes however she did lead me to the right direction that advisor did I give her a 10 out of 10, however, when I went to class on the first day, which I thought was supposed to be Monday, but the weather was bad. The teacher checked and poor guy it was not his fault but he said I was not in his class and he said you might want to double check online. I will help you through it or if I can so I wanted to be in his class, but however, I got stuck in the other classes, which is cool too because I'm picking up on a lot and learning a lot from my classes now that everything's cool but so let me tell you so when I found out, the guy said he's not really sure. Let me talk to an advocate. The lady acted like as if she didn't know what she was doing. I already knew she was a teacher of some sort because the way she walked and talked, but she treated me like I was stupid and took me to her office. I don't even know this lady first time I ever met her as soon as we got to her office I sat down and she says so what are your classes kept on acting like I was stupid like and I said well I need to be in these classes and she acted like she didn't know what she was doing she she says well I don't know what classes you take but whatever it is you need to figure it out and you need to figure out fast because I have a class to get to and I cannot be here waiting for you like it was so rude. She needs to change her attitude because quite frankly just cause I'm a student does not mean I don't have a brain in her mouth to defend myself. Sorry about the rant. So we hurried up and screamed to class but she said OK. Do you have any information? I said yeah I'm supposed to be in these classes. She goes OK well it sounds like you're not supposed to show up until tomorrow and I said OK she goes but I still can't wait. We have to leave. I have a class to go to even though I already clearly asked her when we were walking to her office if she was a teacher she said no lol that doesn't matter but anyway it's the point as she treated me like that so don't be nervous of students just be calm collective that's why I mentioning.

At the end of the day you get what you pay for, so cheap tuition is a plus. That being said life happens and instead of being properly educated on dropping classes or adding them, they know they will get their money regardless. Charging almost 700 for a class in September that goes all the way until the end of December is highway robbery. Not contacting the student and letting them know the consequence is dishonest. Had I of known, been gotten back to in an appropriate amount of time I could have made other choices. But then again if you get to charge 50% of a class regardless then why would you. Pay the extra money and try to go somewhere that actually puts the work in, amd not one that gets almost 700 for nothing.

Teachers will not give students the tools to succeed then force them to take bad grades even tho…read morethe reason was the teacher couldn't do their job. Was in a database class and notified the professor on week 2 that I could connect to the database with thier methods .... He made time for me 2 weeks later to resolve the issue while marking down all my assignments reducing my grades slightly. No resolution found so I tried dropping out cause week5 grades I starting getting bad marks cause I couldn't connect. The student advisor told me I'd withdrawl after 2 weeks of in activity. Week 7 I was still in the course the professor forced then to give me an F and pay for a class that did me nothing but gain debt. I filed complaints and everything but they made money and blamed me not thier crappy professor. BTW I left devry from a similar situation years b4 and they swore this would never happen again. They create failing programs with third party tech to purposely fail you if they see a way to steal your money. Save yourself and go somewhere else!!!

The knowledge and experience I gained while working through my MISM Degree helped me to get an immediate seat at the interview table, which I am happy to report landed me my first position in the IT field. The Keller Graduate School of Management Team in Columbus, OH is truly second to none and they were instrumental in my success to pivot into a new IT career. I hope to one day join the team at DeVry as an adjunct professor and possibly accept a full-time billet in time. Special thanks to Mike, Rich, and Larry. Truly they're the best of the best!
