The facility is clearly used for other sports and activities- it's large, a big dome, so is probably pretty flexible. I hear they used to have state wrestling tournaments here. Staff are helpful. Bathrooms are easy to find. There's a food stand. Parking isn't great- big lots, but far away. You can't even really drop someone off close to the door. But, as part of the sports complex with the football stadium, it works okay.

Of course, we were here for the playground. And it's a bit old and rundown, and there was some trash, so, maybe it's not part of the current school. You can see it right on Havens Corners, right beside the Lincoln HS stadium. Baby K and I saw it from the car, so we stopped in. (Passed a couple of churches with nice playgrounds, but also fences or signs warning away the rabble.) It's big, and has some nice modern-ish equipment plus some older metal stuff. Lots of climbing areas, a couple of slides, a smaller playground for little kids. I guess Baby K wasn't taken with it because she wanted to leave after 10 minutes or so, an assessment I agreed with.

Since then I married someone who went there, and learned more about it. Sweetie loved going there, got a great education, and still supports them. I have been to several events there and met many alums: wonderful, smart, strong women. The campus is beautiful, the teachers clearly love their jobs and the girls, and CSG looks to be the best place in central Ohio to get a college-prep education. Baby K might go there. I say might because it is outrageously expensive. So, start saving now. But it is worth it. There are so many opportunities at CSG (and there are scholarships.) The world is your oyster, and the support for students and alumni is impressive.

The only thing I really recall is that I don't want to use the students restrooms. There was no toilet paper or paper towel available. As a result I always use the staff restroom in the office. This time I was there for a softball game so I only was outside at the Varsity Field. Parking is quite convenient and the field and seating is pretty good. I sat on the bleachers right behind the backstop and had a great view. The scoreboard was a little out of my line of sight but it was easy enough to see it . Unfortunately, my team lost, but it was a good game. Very convenient to see my team play.

Being a sub, I feel welcomed at this school, and not just a number or a "substitute teacher". I always leave with a smile on my face! This school only consists of 8th graders - much more manageable. The kids know my name and what I stand for. It is much easier to gain respect when it's not you against multiple grades in one single building! Allows for variety - you spend one school year with the students, then they're off to high school, and a new batch comes thru.

I learned a lot, not just about reading, writing, and arithmatic, but about social skills, music, and art, too. I'm not sure what the school is like anymore. The building I knew and grew up in was demolished in 2006 and replaced with what appears to be a smaller, more "modern" facility. I just remember being a student and loving every second of it. I had teachers who encouraged learning and cared about their students. I had two wonderful principals who took their jobs seriously and, while completely different in personality, they took care of the students in their charge. It was a safe environment for everyone.
